I've been using this app for 12 weeks on my first pool (15' x 48") and it's worked ok. I've followed the directions on products and lbs to add and my water is clean and clear. also I had to add a lot of things in the beginning but once balanced it now takes just a little here and there. I recommend occasionally comparing the scanned results to the actual colors on the bottle, sometimes I need to adjust a square up or down. App recently has connectivity issues sometimes.
I love the idea. I think the scanning works well... I can only imagine the advice is sound. The requirement to have a super solid connection to the net the whole time makes everything troublesome. It times my account out after scanning so when I want to go back to review, I have to sign back in. Really don't think the timeout or always online requirements should be necessary with a pool maintenence app...
Great idea, horrible execution. I created an account, but it constantly logs me out on the app. Doesn't save my info and scan results when I have to log back in. Tells me my email is not registered, but sends me emails. Added the recommended amount of chemicals, but the scanned test results are the same and it asks me to add the same amounts over and over. I ordered $50 worth of products with no results in improved water quality. I've gone back to manually testing and guessing.
This app is amazing, considering using the phone camera to analyze the colors and give you the results it's 90% accurate which is amazing and ability to manual input the information as well. Yes it's geared to sell Clorox product. Which are great products anyways and producing great results. Trust me you don't want to add cheap products to your pool. It will cost you a lot more in equipment failure
