just dow loadsnitbfrom google play store.. free app ... window immediarwly pops up saying i dont have a vakid licenses .. stupid
Works great with my nas.
All the photos on my phone are automatically backed up to Google Photos. All I wanted was a digital photo frame that could access those backups and display them. This app allowed me to turn an old tablet that wasn't being used into a digital photo frame that far exceeds the capabilities of any dedicated digital photo frame that you can buy.
Well, it looked really good. It even gave the option to use the external sd card. But when I tried to select my picture directory, it just showed my internal data. I'm imagining it's a bug related to the fact I'm using Marshmallow and I made some of my external SD card internal memory since my Tablet only has 16 GB of internal memory. Oh well, if this bug is fixed I'd like to come back and check this out.
I've been looking for a slide show player that will automatically play a slide show from my google photos. I tried everything they all play the slide show but they wont udate. that is i want to be abe to add photos to my google account then automatically have them begin to show on another device in a slide show. this is the only app that does this. it will also remove a phot if you delete from your google photos. Well done !
... and underhand tactics to get reviews. Also I installed it on another device and it wants me to rate it again, except I can't because I have already done it. And when you tap the button to rate you are taken to another version. So now I am probably going to have the intrusive message to rate the app on the second device forever. Not good. Also the app stops... Removing some stars as getting frustrated.
This is a real promising app, but it is extremely flawed. The English translation is straight out of Google Translate (not a good thing). There are errors with how it sees photos on Picasa/Google+. The bitrate it downloads the photos at "high" is much lower than actual quality. The cropping options are non-existent. And worst of all, it will interject with a "rate this app" message in the middle of a slide-show. The message didn't stop show up after I rated it a 4 star before, so now they get 1.
I was looking for an app so that I could use an old Android tablet as a digital photo frame. This app includes many features I could not find in other photo frame apps, including sourcing photos from network shares (Samba). There are also many other sources available. It also provides good control over slideshow settings, which seems is lacking in some other comparable apps. The text within the app can be a little confusing at times, apparently due to translation, but it is tolerable and once setup should not have to change much. Highly recommend if you are looking for a way to display photos.
Tried a bunch of apps looking for a way to select and display Google drive photos on a re-purposed HP Tablet. This was the only one to fit the bill. Now I see and enjoy all of my latest vacations photos while at work. Thanks so much for this! Wishlist: - granularity of slide is 1-60 minutes, should be 1-5, 10, 15, 30, 60, 2 hr, etc - use same (i) button for info display toggle - "Play Slideshow" should go to last pic immediately vs Loading - add Facebook feeds - add Google voice caller ID overlays, email notifications? - cache 5-10 pictures fwd/back - add rotate, ignore, mark, delete current pic - remember rotate - use an X instead of trashcan removing files from list - typo: press again to "exist" - config for digital clock in 12hr settings format - slider left/right sometimes slides to next pane, prefer to just use selection on LHS - config option for no slideshow on weekends - edit current playlist vs. start from scratch
Pure genius, whoever created this app ! I have at least 5 other photoframe and/or slideshow apps but none offers anything near all the options this one gives us. Dayframe, Social frame, F-stop & Quickpic ... are all incredibly fantastic Android Apps too yet this app still manages to do things the others don't do (yet?) like mixing music from anywhere and adding even more different (optional!) information items on the screen. Unfortunately the chromecast support is not working for me but I guess the developer is on it.
Best photo frame app ever, no kidding! I just dont understand why this isnt showed as 1st item on my searches...took a while to find this app. I was searching for this specifics features (photo frame cloud based) but this app exceeds my expctations with ability to set a background music, calendar display, Gcal events, clock, etc. Idk if it is too much to ask but maybe a integration with spotify would be nice =)
The best digital frame app I found, even better than the pay one. The only thing I would add is display folder name. Also a nice feature would be to start-up with motion, capt from our camera.
Great basic photoframe - top 2 or 3 I've found (and I've searched extensively). Exceptional for the price; great work! Only wished it has ability to pull from multiple sources simultaneously, additional effects, ability to open/edit image from app, overlays to move to prevent burn-in.
I use this app to run photo slideshows in old tablets which are used as photo frames. I stream the photos from my NAS. There is no other app like it, and I love that it can shuffle and include subfolders and can draw from large quantities of photos (literally thousands). There is no other app I've ever found that can do all of these things, and I've tried MANY other ones. It also has auto start and timing and multiple useful features (background music and other features which I don't currently use). 2 suggestions to the developer: 1) PLEASE consider an option to zoom in on the photo to fit the screen of the device (and crop the edges if necessary) 2) might consider other transitions between photos. Thanks!
I like this app as it's the only one I've found that supports Google Drive. However, it appears that the app has some bug where it eventually stops advancing to the next picture or video until the app or device is restarted. I'm running it on a 5th gen Kindle Fire running Fire OS 5.4.0.0 (Android OS Lollipop). I noticed the issue started when I put videos on my Google Drive so perhaps it's a video playback issue. I'll disable video playback and see if that helps.
This is exactly what I was looking for to run on my Media Center Tablet remote while it's docked or charging.. Pretty bad name for the app tho, and the English translations need work, but easy to overlook with everything this app does and for the price! Highly recommended app. 4.5 stars.
This is a good app, been using it for a while. It can access my photos on my home server SMB share and show them randomly which is great, although it takes a few mins to load the 1st image. However it freezes and locks up the whole tablet every few days, requiring a power cycle. At other times it will display "Refresh Information" 2 or 3 times a day, sometimes less often like every 2 or 3 days, and will stop showing any more images, leaving the last image on the screen. Not 100% full screen, bar at bottom.
This is the best photo slideshow app for AndroidTV. You have to sideload it as it doesn't show up in the AndroidTV version of the play store, and then use a mouse or controller to select the different options as it's built for a touch screen. I've tried all the free apps, only this one has all the features I need. I would happily pay for it too, but the app is free! I use it to show random photos and videos from the Google Photos auto backup from my phone on my Shield TV. It has nice fade / pan / zoom effect and puts the date the photo was taken on screen too (all of this is customisable). The only issue I had was that the random option only showed photos from the past year. I fixed this by putting each year in a separate folder in Google Photos then selecting each of these new folders in the settings and now it works perfectly (must have been too many in a single folder). This is the only slideshow app you need to try!
I'm trying to convert my old tablet into a digital photo frame and this app such an all in one solution for me.
For some reason there is very little interest in picture frame software and there for not much development. That said this is the best of the few out there. I have issues with manually swiping through images and the nag screen but overall its the best I have found.
The UI may be not be the nicest and is filled with Engrish but it is the best photo frame app I have used by far. Also the forced rate/share is annoying and links to another app instead of this one.
Finally! I'm able to show off my thousands of pictures stored in my Google Drive. Once adjusted it really moves nicely. Panning and zooming. I have tried others and they do not do exactly what I want as this product does. I'm happy that I found it. You will be too.
Love this app but the dropbox functionality has stopped due to dropbox updating their system. Would love to see that back up and running!
nice app, but I don't like how it interrupts my slideshow to "Rate It"
