Pretty simple app for what it's designed for and that's what makes it so great. The app isn't like spotify at all, it's basically a player for music you have downloaded (I use it for playing music off Google drive). And it's really good at it's job, not to mention that the layout is amazingly simple and not a pain like other players. No ads, and even though I don't like admiting the 8 dollars is 100% worth it compared to having to manually swipe through each song in Google drive.10/10
I wish there was more transparency on the issue with double twist/cloud player and the lack of support with Drive. I have all of my files up there and I get it - Google did something. But no status update no disclosure on any attempt to reassure consumers that something is being done. If it's at a snails pace, fine, but say something. I just really regret this purchase.
Like others, I purchased this app primarily on its advertised support for Google Drive, which implementation is broken. It works well with the few files I have on OneDrive, but for a variety of reasons that's not adequate. Note: does not work with Google Drive.
I haven't quite figured out all of the choices or options yet as there are few descriptions. But, for me this app' works well and does what I expected that it would. No ads with this version!
Used to love this app but no longer able to play via Google Drive and looks like no prospect of that changing soon as it's been the same all this year.
Very dificoult to download media from Google. Recently I had to clear all datebase. Not posible manuały manage files.
Works well for me. Haven't tried casting from the cloud but streaming from onedrive is working just fine. Things to improve: 1. A better UI. It's starting to look quite old. Specially the player interface. News a new fresh look. 2. Let me go through my online folders. So, this player scans all of my folders on the cloud. I'd like to be able to navigate my onedrive and choose by myself.
Started well, but now I get the following message from Google when trying to connect to the cloud storage (which was the whole point to purchase the app): This app is blocked. And then it says it tried to access sensitive information from my Google account. I do not need an app that simply plays lical files, but rather valued the ability to play directly from the cloud or download selected music...
Excellent! Still learning to play with it but it's a lot of fun. Good for serious audiophiles
I've had this app for a long time, ever since Google Music died. I have it synced with Dropbox. I loved it. But for the past year or so there are very serious problems, most notably the complete failure for the app to show any content. Even if artist or albums are listed, there are no songs. The app just seems to freeze. I've reset the app, reinstalled it, & gone back and forth with their tech support but they have been unable to help. So, it's time to uninstall. I'm using iBroadcast now.
I purchased this to work with Android Auto so I could browse my music collection through the stereo instead of the phone or by trying to guess with a voice command. Before I touch on that though, there are other glaring issues. It identified my music and quickly organized it, which was great However, the artwork extraction is horrible. It pulled a few and it never seems to pull anymore, regardless of how many times I attempt to force it. All of my music is meticulously tagged, so it's not on my end. It works ok with Android Auto, but browsing by artist is a chore. Once you select an artist, the logical next step would be to select an album. Instead you're greeted with every song by that artist in alphabetical order. If you have a large music selection, this type of sorting makes finding your music difficult. Disappointed, would love a refund.
This is a great app. I have found it to be the best replacement for the old, demolished Google Play Music app. I use it with OneDrive, and it works well. I have a large, robust largely classical music library. The integration with Google Home devices and chromecasts is better than YouTube music. I have had some minor issues with the way I've tagged music files resulting in duplicate albums showing up, but that can be fixed. I'm going to give it 4 stars out of 5 because there needs to be better integration of this service to other platforms like the web and wear OS.
Fantastic! I love this app! I have over 300 albums on it and it works like a charm. There is one feature that I hope the developers add to the app. That feature is the ability to put custom pictures for playlists instead of having the pictures from the first 4 songs in the playlist. Please consider adding in that feature. All in all, its a great app!
A very good experience : it has dark and black modes, very clear presentation of music on the cloud, either by folders or by albums, artists, titles, etc. It also finds album art if it's not embedded. You can take your music offline as well, though I'd prefer it if the music could be downloaded to standard music folders with intelligible filenames rather than to the app's folder with numeric names. But this is a minor point. Overall I'm really pleased with this app, and I purchased the Platinum.
Very unhappy. Please help me. I am having a lot of problems with this app. It hardly ever will play I song I choose, it skips through at least 3 songs before playing one. Takes a long time to load and has not loaded all of the songs that are in my google drive. It is missing at least 1000 songs. This is very unsatisfactory especially as I paid over $8 for it.
Purchased this Platinum app as a way to play mp3 files from my Google Drive-based music library. Worked great for a few months. Now it won't connect at all, and is therefore useless to me. My opinion of these developers would have been higher if they had been "up front" about what had developed with the app, rather than making us figure out what happened third-hand.
nice that it can read from Dropbox and it can chromecast: these were the reasons why I bought it. However, it seems very unreliable: (1) it fails to read all my music library; not clear why. (2) very often it pauses itself at the end of a song and I need to open the phone or open the app or even manually restart to get it to continue the playlist. update: after a few months of using it and resetting it multiple times, I can only remove another star...
