Historically I have been a fan of Cover / First Data as my credit card process service. The processing is fast, accurate and the uptime, while not perfect has been excellent. Unfortunately this version of the clover pos app has some serious problems. First of all, its not well organized for POS for a company that has employees as the primary users. The default screen when opening the app should always be for a new sale. This is not the case for G2 as it was for G1. Now employees are presented with a dashboard screen which gives them information that they do not need and should not have. The have to choose the new sale option from a button at the app. The second major issue is that for keyed in cards, as is sometimes required for telephone orders. There is no feedback on some of types of payment failures. In specific zip code and address verifications appear simply as failed with no indication of the problem. The first time this happened to me I hade to rerun the card through G1 to get an indication of the issue with information provided. Clover will need to do significantly better or I will be force to find a new CC provider when they discontinue G1 Additionally the daily subtotal in the transaction history which was present in G1 is not missing in G2. That was a great feature, why drop it?

Very useless. Rep is not responding after you get there machine. Online reps have very limit knowledge. Can't give you any answer of your questions. Functions are very limited as well. Only able to use as a basic card processor. Very limit discount editing. Employee Shifts Excel calculation are wrong. Rep make it sounds like a whole bunch of goodies, but they are all useless after you get into them.

It's useful to see some stats from the Clover back office, but this app is very very basic. There's so much potential, but the current implementation doesn't add much value or allow settings to be adjusted. The basic information includes absolute numbers and draws pie charts, but doesn't give percentages. No comparison between weeks/months/years for trending.

The old app had one simple function, daily totals. I don't mind the new features of the update, but I desperately miss the simple function of the old app. Being able to quickly look at total sales over the past two weeks was exactly the type of quick insight I wanted from the app.

Passcode interface isn't working. Work 1st day but doesn't afterward. Interface isn't user friendly.

I have been trying to connect my card reading device to my phone for two days now with no success. Spent 30 minutes on phone with customer support yesterday and they were unable to solve the problem. Another card reader was suppose to arrive today but it did not arrive so tried connecting to my ipad today. Still unable to get it to work using ipad. Will add anothr review if I ever get it running to report how I like it once connected.

It is AMAZING the quality difference from a Apple to Android - and I don't mean a good difference. I had so many features with this app on my iPhone and then when I made the switch to Android, you don't get nearly as many features in this app and there are many times where one day is listed several different times. Huge dissappointment.

I have to re log-in every time I use it. Same issue with passcode. I've verified the admin passcode with the email and it still does not work. I mainly wanted this for taking things on and off the online menu but it is easier to just use the mobile website. It needs to be more convenient.

I'm was introduced to Clover from a newly trained employee who was not trained. I was assured of many things and nothing was what I was promised. I was told to upgrade to a different plan and it still didn't accomplish what I needed. What I needed was not the Flex but the Duo station. I think this could be a very good product, but after over 20hrs of time I didn't have, I chose to cancel everything out of frustration and mistrust.

When I was on my iPhone I had access to everything, just like your dashboard on the computer. I could items sold, taxes, daily breakdowns, trends, etc. This version of the app is like someone quick after 10 of designing it. Completely useless. 🙁

Why can't I rate a zero, that's what it is. I can't even sync the card reader. I played around for 90 minutes and gave up. Called tech support, maddening to get anything done. After 1 hour the tech gave up and told me to call again. Not happening, tossed the new reader in the trash. Will keep using the old one.

You would think with the amount money clover makes they would invest more into the mobile app. The app functionality is so limited that you can only check sales. Even that doesn't get updated until employee opens and closes the register app on the main pos. Not even reporting is available. why? I'm having to get on my laptop whenever I need basic information.

It's apparent that these developers who've made clover have absolutely no idea what companies need or an individual needs to run a business when it comes to POS transactions. Their invoicing system is absolutely horrible and good luck trying to look back on your past sales after 90 days. This is literally the worst invoicing system I've ever used along with POS, card acceptance systems. My advice is to use the (invoice maker app) by the developers invoice simple.

Disappointing to say the least. Seems this app has not been updated since 2018. I would expect better given the subscription price I pay clover each month. Clover support have confirmed: "Unfortunately Clover App on your mobile device is not intended for UK and Ireland merchants" only app V2.0 is available in UK and Ireland. The update to v3.1.5 us not available via google play store. ... dissapointting.

Useless, When I signed up they asked for my business number. It's a landline. I have changed it on the computer multiple times and still when I log in it asks for 2 factor and sends a text to the landline. I ha e turned 2 factor off,changed the number, called in to ha e it fixed. It's been useless so far.

This doesnt really do much other than show gross sales. It also shows the net sales as gross sales. Seems like an easy fix, somebody should be able to get it working correctly. It also glitches easily and shows me 2 different totals for the same days sales.

Clover sadly expire passwords every few months. Last time I was forced to change password this app no longer works. Just spins continuously "loading daily sales". Tried uninstalling, reinstalled, clear data, nothing works, same result every time

It seems to be that this app is only good for getting a general idea of what the daily sales of my store are. I check it on my way into the restaurant in the early afternoon and hope that what it's telling me is accurate. I don't trust it by any means though. For example, the actual sales in my store last night were $787 over what the app shows.. This gives ownership and management a false view of how business actually was for the day.

This is literally the worst app I've ever used. It is utterly broken on Android: all I can see is the name of my store and a blank screen. Meanwhile my colleagues on IOS can see everything that is available on the PC website. Waste of storage space if you have an Android phone.
