(This app nolonger works)Be careful download ya herd keeps you safe and informed
The best. Thank you, developers!
This really does find data leaks that you would not find just looking at permissions, which is very useful. This app does exactly what the privacy advisor feature in their paid app does, but not the same results. The results are outdated and nearly everything has not been analyzed. Zero battery and performance impact. The UI needs updating to match the full mobile security. In summary, please update the app.
Frist it is a helpful tool to identify potential risks. Hoever it seems to pick up everyone and it's mother as a threat. The app checks programs permissions data to identify security holes. However certain apps that are identified as threats are from reputable competitors. I'm not sure if the program is comparing the actual data in live situations or only taking the permissions for face value. Again the tool is helpful however when you install a security app you should know it's there.
The app tells me which apps are a privacy threat & which ones aren't right when they are installed. I appreciate that a lot. I wish it could block/restrict/give us a heads up when a high risk app is leaking any such data or at least block the transfer of data through from such apps & ask our permission before letting the data transfer to take place(maybe just in high risk apps).
Not having the option to list the apps in alphabetical order makes it like an easter egg hunt when trying to look through apps. So I tried the search and instead of searching through my apps, it goes to the cloud and listed scores of apps I don't even have. I finally gave up on this frustrating search for the specific app and looked everywhere for the simple option of listing apps in alphabetical order and never found that option. The interface really deserves zero stars for this bizarre oversight.
Immediately provides privacy rating upon app install or app update (great). This has led me to uninstall some apps that were uploading my device ID and other personal info to various ad networks, without my consent.
Clueful is great! It has helped me find and uninstall two privacy violating apps (neither time was the app an offender you would expect), and keeps me informed about all other privacy issues with apps (thanks to its multi-level system to show how great a threat to privacy any given app presents). It's only flaw is that Clueful does not seem to show privacy threats it itself poses.
I'm always careful with what apps to install and installed apps, so the information this app delivers is very important. So far, I found out several installed apps on my device have some intrusive permissions and one app actually leaks information. The search bar has an amazing functionality where you can check apps risks before installing them. Highly recommend Clueful.
This app provides a clear, extensive and informative analysis of privacy-related security threats that your installed apps could be exposing you to. I currently use it along with Norton Spot. From what I've read over the years, Bitdefender's software has a great reputation, so I presume the info the app provides is accurate. It has an easy-to-use, intuitive interface, with no ads, nor crippleware-like feature limitations. I'd definitely recommend it.
It's an excellent advisor on what level of information your mobile is, or may be leaking, leaving it to the user to act on. You can uninstall apps. You still need your choice of internet protection. Many people are unaware they are giving away all their personal data, some don't care - more power to advertising and gov't.
The most egregious offender gets a pass. "Facebook app is not a privacy threat"
Good. Go for it. The developers responded to my query on 'why no updates' & they assured me this app is very much in play▶
Really great app which picked up threats I hadn't spotted (and I'm pretty careful). Led me to uninstall 2 apps and avoid another. Excellent service to protect your privacy from unscrupulous developers!
Useful but even after deleting suggested apps & having no high risk apps, my privacy score is still less than half.
Tells you which apps that are reading your texts, calls and other info. The apps are divided in three categories, high, medium and low risk depending on how much information they mine out of you. It is an absolute must-have app in this day and age.
Says Every Useful app is medium risk but it's very good for finding high risk apps. Calls Most apps medium risk that Norton does not, but this is free.and Norton expires.
First pass. Several issues are necessary apps, including high security communication types. No high risk is good news, so I'll have to sort that out with Bitdefender.
Does inform low, medium and high. Then let's the owner choose what they will do with the apps they've installed.
Does an OK job of showing threat possibilities, but not much depth. Good pair with an AV program.
It simply shows the permissions given to the apps with a description. If we dont like what we see we can revoke permissions if we have the latest version of android if not our only option is to uninstall the app.
This 'privacy' app misses a lot of permissions required by many other apps. To me it is not worthwhile. I am deleting it.
Gives you the peace of mind that it checks any app you download and tells you wether its safe or not, well done Dev team.
This app was a pimp back in the day.
