CLZ Books - Book Database

This app takes a bit if getting used to at first, but the catalogue is extensive, and most bar codes and isbn numbers can be used to autofill a good chuck of a collection. I personally use this app for manga, and while its only correct about 70% of the time, its still easy to update and change as you see fit. The 'add to core' option makes me feel like im actually helping out the app, so i add data whenever i can. Keep up the good work guys!

Great app! Easy to use, clearly and cleanly laid out. Adding books is a breeze - just scan the barcode. I really like that my collection information syncs with and is backed up in the cloud. Customer service, on the rare occasions it is needed, is just excellent - I had a question to which the response was (1) polite, (2) really fast, and (3) really well and clearly explained. I am very, very pleased with this app and company.

A great app! I had been looking for a book cataloging app and the ones I had seen were fine. I was hesitant to purchase this app when I came across it, thinking that maybe paying $20+ wouldn't be necessary just to have a list of books on my phone, but as I played around with the free version, it really was what I was looking for. I bought this one and the CLZ Movies and I never regretted it! It was 100% worth the money. The customer service is also excellent. They're very courteous and helpful.

I'm very pleased with this program. A few more fields than I need but operates smoothly. Customer response was fast and helpful when I encountered a transition problem in moving to a new tablet. The only issue that crops up now and then is a failure in the search program. When calling up a list of books by a specific author, it doesn't always get every one. It's not a constant problem though. Highly recommend this app if you have lots of books.

I've been using this app (and its Windows version) for a number of years and have found it excellent with a great range of features and tools. Adding books to the database is very easy either by manual entry or by scanning the barcode. Updates and improvements come through regularly at no additional cost. Customer service and help are also very good and very prompt. I highly recommend it.

So easy to use! So great to finally be able to catalog our library..and find when we have more than one copy of something! Love it.

This app is awesome, love being able to have all my books listed in one place. Adding them in is super easy to do and there are a lot of nice additional features (cloud syncing, multiple "shelves," etc). I think this is well worth the cost! Support also responds very quickly!

Accidentally deleted all my books I had entered with the sold button, but thanks to the cloud I was able to get them back. Wish CLZ would ask if you were sure about doing that action.

This is a brand new app for me and I am loving it! Tech support is amazing. I'm not very tech savvy so I did need their help. I'm so glad I found CLZ Books!

This is an excellent app that provided me with the means to create a decent inventory of a small school bookstore. It is very accurate and user-friendly and I am able to create new titles, link existing ISBN's and access my numbers instantly. Highly recommended.

If you're reading reviews to help you decide if you should splurge on the subscription - this is your sign - you absolutely should. Estimate how much time it would take you to manually catalogue your books & subtract the time it takes to just scan the barcodes of all your books. Multiple the remaining time by minimum wage (or your actual hourly rate). Is it more than $1.49/month in time saved? Do it.

I've been using this app for years and it is the best app for its purpose. Every update makes it better. However, I notice some bugs: * The index number was repeated for some entries and I won't fix it manually because I have too many books. For that reason I can't use the index as primary key on my data base. * When I export my data from cloud some entries are duplicated and my personalized fields are not saved for next times. Love this app. Our books had been stored for eleven years until we bought our home and have recently been put in our library downstairs. This really helped us to record which books and series we owned. It saved me from buying double books, as I've done in the past.

Very good. The only thing I find disatifying is that you can scan a load of books in at once, but when its the end of the month or whatever and you want to remove a bunch of books, you have to plod your way through each and every one (individually) in order to remove it/them. Why can't the function work both ways? Isn't it just database manipulation? (But saying that, it's still the best book cataloging app available. Fun to use and reliable.) Very irritating nonetheless. Good CLZ. Bad CLZ.

The app is great and makes scanning books fairly easy. It did freeze up and kick me out a few times but it did start back up without problems. What I didn't like about the app is that I received an email the day after I began using it asking why I had not uploaded to their cloud. There are also functions that you can't use such as downloading or printing your inventory unless you allow them access to your information. I personally found that quite intrusive.

I have been a user since 2014, great app for finding and cataloguing books. Fantastic support with super fast responses (less than 30 minutes) who don't mind answering basic questions as well as complex questions. I accidentally wiped out data on 336 books and was going to try and restore it by guessing about what might work. Instead, I sent a help request, and was told about an easy-to-use restore feature I didn't even know existed. With this problem, they literally responded in 2 minutes.

I've only just started using this app, but I like it so far. It seems to work well for my needs. The biggest feature it seems to be lacking, unless I'm missing something, is the ability to list multiple formats under a single book entry, rather than having to list the book multiple times for each format you own. Many of my books I have at least an ebook and a physical copy, and some books I've got ebook, paperback, and hardcover. Being able to list all three at the same time would be great.

I have used this app for quite some time and find it very user friendly and very useful. I have been a customer for many years now with CLZ, and they have never disappointed. I normally do not review, unless it is an honest one. As a book collector, or any media collector, you really will do yourself a great service to use CLZ. I would be lost without it. It saves me money and doubling up my already vast collection when purchasing. The ability to upload and update to Core is valuable and easy.

This is a fantastic app if you love reading books. The app is incredibly powerful, with a huge list of features to help you record what books you have read, when you read them, and what books you want to read next. You can also categorise your book collection by genre and subject. The database stores a large collection of books to add to your reading list, or you can add books manually if they are not already in the database. And your book collection syncs easily between the app, the web and the windows version. The app is very easy to use yet also very feature-rich, and I use it every day to update my reading lists, add new books, etc. Having tried several similar apps, I would definitely recommend CLZ Books as the best app for avid readers.

Excellent app especially if you have the PC program as well. Syncing through the cloud can be manual or automatic and data is backed up. All round really easy to use. Technical support is excellent and prompt. Raised a problem through the app and got a personalised fix within a working day. Thoroughly recommend (and the other collectors apps too). Really useful to have a list to hand on the phone so you avoid duplicate purchases. Regular updates provide new features as well as fixes.
