The balance and transaction amount should be in separate columns.
Not the best really. Not intuitive. GUI isn't easy to navigate. Lacking a lot of features that other banking apps have. Hire a good UX designer. The app works but it's bare bones. No bill pay options (BoA have had bill pay for a decade or more). I'm glad y'all are local but .. c'mon. Up ur game a bit.
Doesn't show pending transactions but still subtracts them from your balance leaving you to wonder with no explanation of why your "available" balance differs from the "current" balance. Also, it is probably not smart to include your overdraft line of credit in the "current" balance amount of your accounts. Isn't that there for "just in case" and "emergencies"!? These points unfortunately give the appearance that it is hoped that overdraft will occur and fees and interest can be collected.
I love CNB in general, and the app is really handy! It's very easy to use, and easy to see how much is in each account. You can do one time, or repeating transfers to help meet your savings goals. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I have an old account in there from a loan that's already been paid, and I can't figure out how to remove that account from my view either in the app or online. I'd have to know the full account number, and you can't find that online.
One of the worst mobile banking apps I've ever seen. The deposits don't make sense when done online the status isn't clear. The data is at least a day behind. Bill pay and online deposit is not integrated cleanly into the app. And the bankers themselves at the branches don't even understand how the app works and can't fix problems it creates
it's come a long way from constant crashes, although you'll definitely still get one here and there. otherwise it's responsive i can make transfers from savings to checking at the store if needed. changes show promptly for debit charges.
I find it difficult at times with my arthritis to enter the correct digits or alphas for passwords it would be nice if there was an option to view password like all other apps have rather than keeping the password hid den. Also I have an account that is supposed to be linked but it will not function and no one at the bank can figure out why this is my account was used every month for car payments but because I did not do activities regularly everything else shut down what is up with that ?
Quick, effective access to all the stuff I need to do. I'm a fan! Deposit checks? Check balances? Send a check? Pay all my monthly bills? No problem. Whoever developed this did an amazing job. I can do all the same stuff I do from the desktop site. There aren't any quirks. I use the app for everything and never need to duck out to the main website. Thank you!!
I have always loved the app, had it for 10+ years. However today it wanted me to update and now it won't work at all. Kept trying to update, canceled it and tried again and hours later still not updating, so I Uninstalled and reinstalled and now it won't install, just keeps circling and going nowhere. Very upset that now I don't have the app at all and can't even download again
Works well. Secure. Drawbacks: Notes on funds transfers don't allow punctuation. The worst feature though is that account balances include available money from overdraft lines of credit - an incredibly bad design. It's like they want you to overdraw your account. (Come to think of it, I guess they do.) Come on, CNB, at least try to pretend you're about customer service and not your bottom line.
the Canandaigua National Bank Mobile online banking app is extremely easy to navigate. You can pay bills you can navigate from one option to another very quickly very easily. It is so much better than even doing it online with a laptop. Enjoy it very much.
This app has always been good and reliable up until now. Since banking upgrades this month I can no longer login using the app. Please fix login or advise us if there is a workaround. I can login on the web but not tge app. I get an unknown error in the app with no way to fix it. please advise! UPDATE: Uninstalling and reinstalling the app prompted the register new device routine and now Im able to use the app again.
The best banking application that I've ever used. Have been using this APP for a very long time & I've never had any problems or issues. Have any questions don't hesitate to ask the customer service department. You'll get experience & knowledgeable representatives to help and you'll be pleased. 👍👍👍💯% outstanding 👏
I think this app works well, the only issue for me is that I can't reset my password from the app or the website. I just get sent back to the login screen everytime I hit the submit button!
I've used pretty much every major banking app/website and this one is by far the worse. I constantly have to put in an access code to log in and setting up an external account to pay off a loan online is next to impossible

I liked it more before the last update when deposits would show up as green & withdrawals or debits would show up as another color. It was just a very quick visual that helped me out.
Dont like the Available balance showing the $200 that would become a loan if I overdraw. People count on knowing what is actually available. This tricks people into thinking their balance is more than it actually is. Youre tricking people into that loan (balance protection). Not nice!!
terrible needs rebuild. 9/17/19, 7/29/19, 6/1/19 & 6/27/19 app still needs to be reinstalled after every mobile deposit. The latest update (april 2019) is terrible on Android. you can do one mobile deposit before the camera won't operate properly. the screen is too dark, the aspect ration is off, and it doesn't even try to focus. im downloading this for a 8th/9th time. will I need to do this every time I have a mobile deposit to make? Please fix this, it worked fine before the April 2019 update.
Design is mediocre, pending transactions are never shown, and it took forever to have online access. Other than that it works great.
I have had other banking apps that show you exactly what is pending. Even send you an alert when you use your card. I was told to download another app that isn't CNB. I don't trust that. Already had my account hacked thru this bank twice.
What is wrong with the "First time user" button? It keeps sending me to the page to apply for a new password. I don't have an account yet, and thus no password. I have fallen into a paradoxical hellhole of redundancy....
It is slow and it is not more than a mobile version of the website you get on your cellphones browser. But it works without any issue and that is good enough.
Very solid and dependable app, especially compared to other banking apps I've used. Regular and scheduled app maintenance shows that they care and strive to make it the best experience possible
It makes me wonder why they always want me to update my review. I suppose it's like something growing on you. That is, as time goes by, it gets better and better. And that is true for this app. I didn't understand it right away, but now I do. So how much can one say about a bank app? It's good, it does it's job, you can pay bills or transfer funds with it. I celebrate the Canandaigua National Bank app, and you will too, if you get it
I have a real problem with this app it's a terrible app never used such a difficult app and I have been complaining about it for a very long time ! I don't understand how come you're at the so antiquated !! I've talked to many of my associates and they all agree :( 👎
It works sometimes. Very buggy app that I would not expect from a banking app. Sometimes it returns british pound symbols instead of dollar symbols, sometimes it doesn't recognize the endorsement on the check and won't allow you to deposit it, and sometimes it just crashes for no apparent reason. Very disappointing. CNB could do a lot better. Only use if you are tolerant of buggy software.
