App crashes constantly after new update. Instead of waking up to feed my child in the middle of the night, I'm waking up to go back and forth from the nursery to reset the camera, reset the wifi, turn my phone off and on and still, nothing. Totally frustrating and interfering with what little sleep I already have trouble getting. Update ---Seems like the software has had some work done since update. Stopped going offline in the middle of the night and only crashed once. Good customer service.

A few months ago I was having many problems but those issues have been resolved. I am currently waiting to hear back on why my notifications are not working. Other than than, the cam & app have been wonderful. The features are all amazing and I love that I can bring it up anywhere I am. The motion sensor, swaddle stories, and ability to bring up the cam without wifi are my favorite features.

EDIT: significant problems with Android version 10. Camera freezes or mutes itself. This system drops its connection every 1-3 days, requiring us to disconnect and reconnect to wifi. If this happens in the middle of the night or when we're in another room it might be an hour before we realize. This makes us a lot less confident that the system is doing what it's supposed to be doing, kind of negating the point of owning it at all.

Really liked this as it Worked great until a few weeks ago. Now it crashes daily, drains my battery super fast and overheats my phone which is something that has never happened before with any other apps. So it has to be the app. The video quality has declined significantly. It constantly lags and freezes. And the alerts are always slow and inaccurate.

Update: after many software updates it finally began working at least moderately well. It was passable. Still took nearly a minute to 90 seconds for the video to load, even when the app was already open in the background. The past 3-4 weeks however it has gone back to being a useless door stop. The sound at least will run most of the time in the background but it often shuts itself off without me even realizing. the video hardly ever works. Or sometimes it comes on but is just a Frozen image.

This camera and app were great until the recent update. *edit* Almost two weeks after the update and no change. Everytime I have to restart the app because it froze (which is almost everytime I let it go run in the background so I can use my phone for something else), I hate it a little more. I think tech support has given up on trying to remedy the awful update. 2/24: Second update is great. now I get to stare at a black "offline" screen all the time. solid work. 👍

I give this 3 stars because the camera is good and I really love that it tells me breaths per minute. Customer service is quick and as helpful as possible. However, the app often goes offline and back online, sometimes long load times, and having Android 10 I do not get notifications from the app. I'd like to not have the app on with sound the entire time she's asleep but that's what I have to do or use an old phone that has never updated to Android 10.

UPDATE 2/4/2019 Customer service helped get everything settled. However, there are still some issues. I do like this camera. I like that it is so high definition, and the fact thta i can use my cell phone and check in during the day while the nanny is taking care of my baby. I can access the camera even if I am on a different wifi network. Super helpful. What issues there are, are still relevant to the app. With this new upgrade, the sound has started to create an echo effect, and I can no longer disable the sound with the sound button on the app. I have to actually close out of the app in order to turn off any noise (like a baby crying....). Also, if i leave the app, but keep it open to view another app, it takes awhile for the live feed to come back on when i switch back. I do like the movement indicator. Prior to the update, I'd constantly check to see if my baby was alive (FTM jitters still in full swing!). The movement indicators helps me relax a bit because it really does pick up a lot of minute movement. upgrade made it worse. i can't even access the video now that it's been upgraded. this is unsafe. i can't watch my baby while i work around the house.

The app/camera worked great until about a month ago when the app became really glitchy. The video would freeze and then "fast-forward," then freeze again in a constant cycle. I contacted Cocoon for support and their troubleshooting suggestions did not make any sense. I've since learned that others are having similar issues and it's more than disappointing that Cocoon hasn't resolved this yet. I would no longer recommend this product if you want to be able to keep an eye on your child(ren).

I've been using this for the past 3 months and I like it a lot. I use it every night all night on my phone to hear when my 3 month old wakes up. every now and then it glitches and the sound is creepy, slow, and in a DEEP voice (when baby cries) and you just have to close out the app and reset but it is definitely not something I want to hear coming from my baby's room at 3am lol. It also sometimes turns the sound off on its own but not often. Love the swaddle story feature!

We started out with a great experience with this product - loved it, promoted it, CS was very responsive. It wasn't without it's flaws (e.g. ~2 second delay), but it did everything we needed. With 10, our experience turned sour. The video freezes often, requiring a force stop/reopen (breathing/movement still works, but the picture is old). CS tickets have gone unanswered for 2 weeks. I'm now trying the texting route suggested in response to the negative reviews here - hopefully that will help.

We have been happy with this camera! We've had it for 6 months. The app had an update on 12/16/19, and since returning from our holiday vacation, I've noticed that the video image is very pixelated and slow to match baby's movements for a few seconds and then it does a fast forward to catch up. I've also had more "offline" notifications than usual. Overall, I'm happy with the camera and app, but with the few things I mentioned might worry me if I had a newborn.

This worked pretty well for the first few months of our baby's life, but in recent weeks the app has become absolutely horrible--freezing and lagging so much that the video is essentially unusable. It's not just a device problem as it is happening on all our devices--one Android phone, one Android tablet, an iPhone, and an iPad. Also does not appear to be a WiFi problem.

I am so frustrated with this right now. we hen it works, it's an amazing product and I couldn't be happier with it!! however, lately it is offline so frequently that I am losing sleep so I can get up multiple times a night to check on my baby, and constantly restarting the app and the camera to try and get it back on a live feed so I can be at peace. UPDATE: I did do the update, and have not had a single issue with lagging or it going offline since the update. love the breath rate feature too!

We loved this camera when we first got it but the excitement of it was only short lived. This app is worthless. Constantly freezing, not keeping up with live video, the breathing feature doesn't always show up, and as I type this the app is frozen for the millionth time. Save yourself the trouble of learning the video/app is frozen through the night and go with a different camera. We are in the process of finding something different

After the update the app stopped working. I texted the number listed in the reviews and they abruptly stopped helping me. I submitted an email and received a brief response with no help or next steps. Extremely frustrated!!!! update: Cacoon has since fixed the issue with the app that prevented me from connecting. it has been a week now and this update is horrible. The movement map is absolutely useless, the connection lags now, it takes forever for live feed to show. Go for another product!

It works but could use improvement. When you have the Live Stream window open my phone's home button disappears and I am also unable to do split screen with this app on my phone. Lastly I wish that there was an option when my baby is crying to have the notification go off (with sound) until I dismiss it. I am always worried I'll sleep through it so I have one of the louder notifications on for my settings and it's a little obnoxious to have on all of the time (i.e. during the day)..

I wish they would bring back swaddle stories. Also mine no longer notifies me when my baby is crying (yes I have triple checked the settings). This is a major issue as he still wakes at least 1 time per night. I wish they would go back to the previous version. Way less issues. If they would do that I would change to 5 stars because I loved everything before.

I've given the app a few days after the updates and i love the new features - way better than the wave thing. however it's like the app thinks its open twice and the audio echos so each sound comes thru twice. if i open it from the notifications window it's like I'm opening it for the first time and it goes offline then comes back. I'm not sure if this is an Android problem or an app problem. fixed it by disabling the tray icon.

We've been using the camera for a little over a year. It worked most of the time, but has always crashed frozen or lagged quite a bit. Two days ago, it went offline completely (no known changes to the environment) and remains offline despite hours spent doing every procedure I can find online. At it's best it was never worth the cost anyway.
