The app is great when it works, but every week or so it freezes on the start up screen or doesnt recognise one of us as being home for days on end. The only way round it is to uninstall and reinstall app, which isnt helpful when we want to use the camera imminently and have to wait for the other person to send the household invite again. Also has led to us having about ten people on the household with no way of deleting due to us adding ourselves over and over. Really frustrating!
Initially I had some frustrating issues with getting the app to work. I contacted Cocoon and the customer services team were absolutely fantastic. They were very responsive and keen to resolve the issue (which turned out to be phone permissions related). Device works perfectly now and has been an extremely useful tool for peace of mind.
App doesn't work, won't connect to camera despite resetting all hardware involved, phone, router and camera, nothing works, app get to second phase of beeps and fails immediately, every single time, I wasted money on junk once again, not happy cocoon.
Worked intermittently when I first installed it 6 months ago but has now stopped altogether. It now only recognises my android phone when I open the app, rarely auto arms when either my android or my partner's ios phone leaves the house (even when receiving a 'left the house' notification) and now doesn't send alerts. As I write this the camera is 'armed' and there are two people in my house but no alerts received. I emailed Cocoon Help 2 months ago but no reply despite sending a second email.
This is the 10th time I have had to uninstall and install this app as both app and the cocoon camera stops working. There has not been an update for a long time.
It's a great concept, but they seem to have stopped developing the product. It's so frustrating when early adopters get penalised for having faith in a product too early.
Cocoon was a costly mistake it is a useless camera always disconnecting itself from WiFi and a pain. to connect again it's offline more than online nothing but an expensive piece of junk.
Started off good now app keeps crashing every time i open it, tried uninstalling and re installing and still keeps doing it. Is there a bug or could it just be me??
App no longer will start. I just get an endless splash screen. Connection to the camera sucked even when it worked. Overall another bad Kickstarter project.
Worked great at first. Now can't see live camera and app stops and drops out. Complete waste of time.
My first major problem with the system in 11months and Yooki from their customer service team organised a replacement without hesitation. I love the small system that reacts on noise along with motion. 5 star machine and service in my opinion.
The app was working fine until the other day when it crashed the camera is still working but have uninstalled the app and installed it again but it's telling me to set camera as a new one don't know what's happening help please
Horrible app that's does not function well, with very little features. The product doesnt work well either.
Needs to know your physical address. Why? When it fails to find it, the app can't proceed. Terrible on too many levels.
I am not able to connect Cocoon to the Internet.I have reinstalled app Message says sorry cannot connect to server after placing phone near cocoon no connection.
Does not connect to my Samsung S10. Repeat resets and install uninstall makes not a jot of difference.
Cocoon has been good in the last few years. However I am concerned that there hasn't been an update since 2018??? That to me seems like it is no longer supported by the wider team?
Was working, now just opens and crashes... reset, reinstalled, no changes..
Stopped working, wont connect. I think the product is basically End of life now.
Work switched it off and now it won't connect nothing has changed what a waste of money

Simple and easy connect to app
It's a great concept but the reality sadly fails to live up to any initial promise. The app won't stay open on my phone and when not open it does absolutely nothing, so becomes completely pointless. I'd highly recommend checking whether or not this will work properly on your smartphone before spending a single penny. Customer services have just told me there's nothing they can do about this (despite every other app on my phone staying open, Cocoon just constantly closes).
