Really cool editor. Just bothered by the fact that you have to save the file first before you can execute the new commands. Please change that, some of us expect the code to run soon after you change it without saving. Kudos to the terminal, I couldn't find other android source code editors that have one, so the execution feels pretty janky to me.
A mobile Java IDE that actually has intellisense(code completion and autocorrect), works great, and doesnt paywall the user. Only one issue so far, for some odd reason the enter key does not work in the console, yet if I plug in my keyboard it works. This might be an issue with Samsung, or not. Im willing to help anyway i can to resolve this, as I would like to recommend this app to others.
I went into this with low expectations. First, I like that this is free without ads. Just like android and Java development should be. Kudos to the developer for that. It can build Java apps as well as Android apps (legacy by default, but it does work) My main issues were the fact that I couldn't scroll by dragging, and the file manager does not open to the files you're working on on first load. Finding them can be a pain. It's worth looking into, but I have better apps that do the same.
Excellent app for web development. It just needs an ability to hide or shrink action bar to provide more editing space. The action bar absolutely hinders the editing experience, otherwise this could be the best integrated IDE on Android
Excellent, very useful and helpful in my journey of learning mobile development! One question tho... Is it at all possible to use packages that aren't included in this app, like Gson for an example? I'm in the middle of working on a media player tutorial and being able to use Gson would be very helpful since I don't have a computer at the moment.
Great app. I love how when I make a html project there is already a sample there! The only downside is that I can get off of the storage emulated 0 to trap my main file explorer just useless I can't go back because if I go to storage then emulated there is nothing there. But apart from that the app is Great!! (Thanks for reply)
After I created a default Android project with an empty activity and hit the play button, it builds fine but the console prints an error: 'toybox: unknown command netcat'. I allowed the storage access for this app. Do I have to install something else in order for this to launch an app? I will reconsider my rating after I can run an app built with this.
Absolutely amazing App, more versatile than JStudio. However it also opens ports +7000 when run. Just pops the next one open if the sister application (JStudio) is already running. May you please address this, is this necessary?
Wonderful, cause it does the job well Most importantly it has an offline compiler. Not the others which requires data to run.

One of the better IDE's. I tried all free apps. Some has later SDK features, but lack in intelli-sence. This one at least I could create an app with 9 activities. Typing is cumbersome, even with the NextApp kbd, others ignore the added kbd. It needs more UI properties, like shrink size & configure/add-to toolbars. Eg autoclose files/console pane after comp. Was hoping for SQLite-Room's, need visibe/editable prj-file, double-templates eg. activity.java+xml. But I can use it - thanks from ZA.--
Great work Alif Software, but i realy think you guys should work on your UI. i love the functionalities installed in the app but with a better UI i wouldnt have had to Prefer another app to this one. For real UI matters. Thanks.

I can't build apk it's throw error. Generating R.java... CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE "aapt": cannot locate symbol "_Unwind_Resume" referenced by "/data/data/com.alif.ide/files/alif/bin/aapt"... Please help me I have Android realme os 10.
Would give 5 stars for this app because of ease of use. However I use this app mostly for writing SQL queries. And this app does not allow to create new .SQL files. If the developers add feature to create and edit SQL I would pay for the pro version. Thank you. PS: Tried the developer's suggestion to go to FileManager and create new file. That works with file extension .txt When I create file with .SQL and try to open it days Cannot Open. Is this a bug? I would like to pay for this app.
After a misunderstanding on my behalf, a negative rating out of it and the developer's explanations, I felt forced to install, check and re-evaluate the app. This app works and is for evaluation. It offers the opportunity to get a license for continued use. But since the developer allows unlimited evaluation time. I'm considering it a free app and it deserves a full score. @developer Sorry for the misunderstanding and thankyou for making this.
Most useful IDE for Android! One complaints though: the UI should be more modern

Horrible user interface, when I tried running my code it asked me download an app and all it showed me was "Hello World" 🤦🏾♂️
The text highlighting mechanics are very wonky and hard to use, please fix this if you can

editor is great, but not that useful for me since it doesnt provide a way to import projects from git or ftp.

I really like this app. It's very light, fast, and easy to use. If you want to be able to code android apps and make web projects on your phone or tablet, this is the app to use. A quick note: in the tablet version of the app, the drop-down menu with the three dots on it have no words in the dark theme; in order to see the words in that drop-down menu, you have to switch to the light theme.
