This is by far the most useless app!!!!! I get a notification that there is an emergency in my area and it will never load it! It is unkind to put us through unneeded alert and fear! It's a serious responsibility you're taking on and you're failing! I have no choice but to dump this app!
Unless. I can see I'm not the only one having trouble with this so called emergency app. Been asking up to two weeks for help from support. I emailed way too many times and called. I am now going to delete it. Why take up needed space for something that is useless
App texted me about a tornado warning 40 minutes after the warning EXPIRED, which was completely useless. Fortunately my city has sirens and was able to activate them in a timely manner. Also sent a text about severe thunderstorm warning 34 minutes after the warning expired. Not effective and I don't know why my city emergency management recommends this app...
see review for Smart911.. as somehow they are "merged" in my county- and now both are "LookOut!" ? I find out on the news? and it's not working properly regardless.. not good when you live in High Wildfire Area.. grrrr...
I forgot I even have this app. What does it do? It has never alerted me of anything, ever, even in the worst situations, such as tornadoes very close.
Why, when I open the Code Red app on my phone, does it say I need to install the NH Alert Services (for New Hampshire) when I live in Arkansas? This makes no sense!!! This app needs to be fixed ASAP!
Worked great at first now won't show any warnings and will shut down
I paid for an app that's suppose to keep me safe but it doesn't work. It keeps crashing.
Good idea, but the app has no control over what my nearby towns think is an emergency. This morning it was a water main break that had been fixed in a town 30 miles from me, and of course yesterday it was the fact that that same water break had happened! There should be a way to just turn on the most extreme weather related or abduction related emergencies. Uninstalling.
I had originally given this app 2 stars back in 2019. It's now 04-2020 & the problems continue. It still continues to log me out which renders it useless in a true emergency. Today the app has been down virtually all day. I have contacted the makers of this app previously & they don't seem too motivated to fix it. When it works, it's useful. Unfortunately, most of the time, it doesn't work.
Worked fine until needed. During the CA Lighting Complex fires, with a good bit of California on fire, the app notified me of a new alert in my area. When I tapped the notification, the app crashed. Upon restarting it, it asked me to sign in again, then responded "Your request could not be completed" The issue is probably the servers got overloaded, but that's the issue with an emergency app designed and tested under normal circumstances, but only really used in abnormal ones.
Disappointed in this early version of an app that could be really useful. When an alarm sounds, the page just spins and spins and never provides any info. The app also sounds an emergency alarm for announcements that aren't emergencies but good news, such as evacuations being lifted or warnings being lifted. Also, the app added no icon can't be accessed on my phone except when an alert comes in. I had to search for it in the play store in order to uninstall it.
After reading the description of the app I learned that the account to sign up for my community is a different account than what the app uses. This is confusing, but the app remains functional even if you don't log in. This app shows me alerts my county has set up in an easy to see way. I can see a fire in the distance and my county suggested to install this app to get updates quickly on the status of the fires. It seems the alerts must be set up by your local government. The app works great.
This app worked great when our city recommended it to us. I haven't been getting notifications for a while (I thought because we moved). I went on to try and change my address, can't find how to do that, but it did show me the tornado warning that had been expired. I get calls and texts from this system, but I'd like to be able to have an app that works and be able to change my address so it's accurate. The fact that it doesn't work like it did is disappointing because it was a good app. It's not anymore.
Ever since the last update, this app only works about 10% of the time. It used to be great and now it's useless.
Very helpful, and being aware of your surroundings is comforting
WORSE THAN USELESS,..... IT'S ANNOYING !! The only alerts I've received, were for Towns >30 miles away from me. They were for Fire Hydrant Flushing, a watermain break & a Town's Mask Mandate. Meanwhile in my Town, a torrential downpour, accompanied by High Winds, Thunder, Lightning, causing flash flooding & I didn't get an Alert!! There's no ability to customize for types of Alert, distance, etc. Good concept, bad design! Uninstalling.
This app is doomed to fail. Here is the issue, you sign up through your local community link but when you log in to the app, it wants a different login and the app does a terrible job of letting you know how it all works. I hope they fix this STUPID issue and it becomes useful but I have my doubts. One star because the app is unusable without a better onboarding experience. What is the point of making people sign up for an account on the web then a separate login for the app?
Tried to set up with my city. App says not compatible. So I'll uninstall
App does not have reliable functionality. It freezes and sometimes will not sign in. It fails to load warnings about 50% of the time. When local warnings are issued, the app sends me a notification days late. Not reliable. For an emergency notification app, it is a failure. I don't know if this is put out by a government agency, but if so, it makes sense why it has so many problems.
