Codewords Lite
Codewords are crossword puzzles with a twist
- there are no clues.
Instead, each letter A-Z is represented by a random number 1-26, with the same number representing the same letter throughout the puzzle.
All you have to do is decide which letter is represented by which number.
For example, all the 1's may be T's, all the 2's E's and so on. You are given some letters to help start off. All the letters A-Z are present in the early puzzles, with one number for each letter (later puzzles don't necessarily have all 26 letters in the grid).
The codewords grid is displayed in full. If you are really stuck then you can reveal a letter. A great way to while away your commute!

3 starrs, but probably the best codewod puzzle around. . Not roo many proper nouns or us spellings, apart from using zz not ss. Seems to have had more rhought applied than others which have been computer generated. Not toio many obsure words, which would defeat the object of being solvable. There is too much slang... eg brolly. And a few names...Massey. which really have no place in crossword based puzzles. Sadly apps do not reproduce quality as found in uk quakity newspapers.
Very well designed, probably the best codeword app I've found. Not challenging enough to pay for the full version though. I'm willing to live with ads to see how much better it can be.
Even the easy puzzles can sometimes be challenging. And no ads - unlike another codeword puzzle publisher which has extremely intrusive ads. I enjoy playing Codeword Lite. Thanks.
Really enjoying it until I got to puzzle 21, where I was told you have to purchase the app to unlock puzzle 21 and beyond. Well sorry, but that is just not going to happen. Uninstalled.
So far this is a fun game
Enjoy this app. You have several levels to choose from and allows you to check your answers. A good starting point for codewords.
so far this is the best codeword that i have found. the spelling is british most of the others weren't. it would be nice if the letter choice was alphabetical but not important.
Perfect for getting back into codeword puzzles after a long time and giving my brain a good workout! Very enjoyable
Taxes the brain! If you are really struggling there are aids that 'reveal' as little or as much as you request. Good game!

I enjoyed this and then wanted to download the full version. There was no information about the cost of this, or even if it was chargeable. However, I downloaded the full game but when I attempted to go to game 21 to resume play i had to go right back to the beginning. Not impressed which is a shame as the game itself is quite good
