App won't even open any more. just crashes immediately. I tried removing and reinstalling but no luck. Update: Tried again after Sep 2019 update - version 2.0.5, still no luck unfortunately. I've uninstalled it. Shame, it used to be really good.
Apparently not maintained. Lists a restaurant near me that closed at least 5 years ago. Does not list 2 restaurants that have been open for years. Not sure this app has any use.
This app needs a lot of work to be truly useful. The scanner, which is the most important part of the app, doesn't even work. While there is a lot of other good information on it, much of it is already on their website. I am a member of Coeliac UK, and I'm just keeping this app now in hopes that it will be improved in time seeing as I've got all the time in the world since my coeliac isn't going away. Until then, there are other apps that are more useful.
this is a terrible "improvement"! Where is the food directory? I used to love the ability scan barcodes and quickly check if something was gf. now I just get Cote (I assume sponsored) listings being prominently displayed. a step backwards I feel.
I haven't used the app for a while but installed it again today and it wont let me log in, changed my password, installed again but still no joy Password is fine on Chrome or Samsung's browser so think the app is talking to the server maybe
What's happened to the food checker? Backward step and rendered the app practically useless! Bring the check food function back ASAP please, until the bye 👋
It's already sad enough to be Ceoliac, why would I have to pay 1.25 per for this information. I find it really expensive and abhorring that there isn't at least a free version to try out first.
website recognises password. app doesn't. even after resetting multiple times.
No search options or lists of food. It only displays articles to me.
The scanner does not work and it keeps crashing worst app I have ever used
just tried login on but doesnt recognise my name why has the coeliac society changed their website ? ive now got to log onto this app everytime i go shopping to use their barcode! only for this app to not recognise my password .
Might just be an error I'm facing but in the whole of the country there's only 3 separate 'chains' that appear in the map with a GF marker, Domino's, pizza hut and Frankie's and Benny's?
Used to love this app while out shopping! the update ruined it, wheres the scanner gone???

Useless app, same as gf food checker. Coeliac UK should learn how to write apps.

There are a lot of good things about this app but it is clearly a work in progress whilst the CHARITY with VOLUNTEERS does it's best to get all the information that is in the printed directory onto the app. All you people moaning should maybe offer Coeliac UK some of your time and IT skills to help them update it. People are never satisfied these days...
Downloaded for my 70 year old Father to help find suitable places to take him out to eat. Useless, Need a paid subscription to access that information 😡 we're not paying a subscription for medical needs. Not exactly a luxury 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Don't download unless you are a member of Coeliac UK. You need (paid) membership to access any useful features (what other charity charges the people it's trying to help?). Once over that hurdle adverts obscure c. 20% of the screen (but haven't I already paid to use this?), you keep having to log in again and downloads take an age (plus it doesn't say how large they are) with a difficult to read progress bar. With membership the content is good, hence the 2 stars, but design and technical execution poor.
EDIT: just found a link on the coeliac uk website to a different app, which does scan and works much better! I've downloaded today as it was highly recommended at my dietician appointment. Unfortunately the scanner doesn't work and neither does the search function. Both tell me no products can be found, even after downloading the product list (twice!). My shopping trips aren't going to be getting much easier for the time being!
I am a paid-up member but none of the items I scanned were found inc Glutafin Pizza bases.
Constantly crashes.Really disappointed as I can't use it.I subscribed to Coeliac UK to get full use of app only to find it constantly crashes.
Useless. The venue directory just shows map and no venues at all. Tried downloading the information several times and re-installing but nothing shows
Each time i search for a product in the food directory i am told it doesn't exist! So infuriating as i am a paid member and the app doesn't function as it should. Needs sorting out.
The app looks like it was designed in 2006, and it has the audacity to show ads even though I've just paid £12 for this and not all that much else.
It was a great app but the scanner has disappeared and it is now ruined! I used the scanner all the time when shopping and/or unsure if I could have something. The app is absolutely useless now! get the scanner up again please! Very unhappy with the latest update
