Love the app! User friendly, and it has great animations. It makes the process so easy to brew a great cup of coffee. If/when it is no longer free I would happily pay for it. Quick tip- for larger volume devices (8 or 10 cup Chemex, for example) you may need to increase your maximum cup volume in the settings menu, in order to get instructions for larger batches. I didn't know this, emailed the developer, and got a very prompt response. Great app, and great customer service!

Good looking UI and nice animations with the timers. Fairly good selection of recipes. Issues: -Can't create own pour over iced coffee recipes with the V60/Chemex. Nor can you copy the default one and change the values. Additionally the bottom section of the recipe doesn't factor in ice volume and bumps up the water volume to compensate leading to two different sets of directions. Recipe does work when you are going through the step by step though. -Can't input custom grind sizes.

This app can be much better. It's a shame it lacks many things now. The animations are cool, but since they are not really accurate to (and closed to) the real actions and side notes, they create a big distraction. The measurements (water and coffee) steps up by 5 units which is kinda weird, because why don't keep it by 1 unit? Step duration is not automatically scaled up or down accordingly to the serving size (more coffee and water need more time to proceed, no?). Anyway, thanks for the app.

Edit: I didn't realise there was a little slider under the cup size that adjusts by 10ml increments. I was pretty happy with this app until I started creating my own recipes. Because the cup volume is set across the entire app, you can't get exact amounts for different methods. I'd say this app would be perfect if you could create one off recipes that aren't based on cup size.

Great app! I love the automatic and built-in timers for each step. The animations are great for newbies. I like this tells me how much coffee and beans to use if I want to make more than my standard 2 cups. Speaking of cups, beware the default cup size is set to 5 oz ea, but this is adjustable in settings. I use regular beans (as opposed to espresso) and believe there are 8 oz in a cup regardless of what you are measuring so I was glad to be able to change this. Units are adjustable to metric.

Thanks for this amazing apps, very helpful when you don't have any scale and timer yet, nice animation graphic. Please make the "Add water" more customize option, not only adding by 5ml, and please add the option of Custom Step, at least it will help to adding some notes, etc. Finally, if there is the Sign In option will make this app more great for saving the whole recipes and user data.

This is the app and timer that I use for making my daily cup of coffee with an Aeropress. I have two recipes saved for that quick cup of coffee during work days. This app makes it easy to save favorites and also try and rate new recipes and rate for future reference. The pause and go back feature makes it easy to stop the timer without having to start the recipe all over again.

Excels in design, range of recipes and methods, and utility. The timer including an animation of each step is a nice touch. Especially useful features include tasting notes and the ability to edit and add recipes.

Very sleek and intuitive app with great animations. Only suggestion is to make it clearer in the pour over method how much water to add after blooming. For example, if the brew calls for 300g of water and you bloom with 50, the next step will say pour rest of water (250g). Sometimes I forget how much total water the recipe calls for (e.g. 300g) and I don't like to tare my scale after every step. This means my scale might read 73g and I'm then left having to do math early in my head early in the morning when my brain is not yet fully functional. To summarize, an option for the weights to be cumulative throughout the process would be pretty cool.

Really like the look of the app. What I would like to see added is a (line) chart showing me how much water needs to be added right this moment and maybe share recipes or download popular ones.

UPDATE: Per the developer's response, I modified the cup size which allowed me to use the app for larger quantities than its default settings. The fact that I cannot simply decide how many oz of coffee I want, but have to create a fictional "cup size" and then multiply that to get the size of my press (a basic 32oz bodum, the most common and best selling press in the US) means that while I'm glad it is *possible* for me to use this app, I'll be using one of the simpler solutions I've found.

This is a great app! I'm keeping the review at 3 stars for now because as others have pointed out, the maximum water in a recipe is 350g when many people brew 500g batches regularly. This, along with every other customizable value in a recipe, needs to be completely unlocked and any number allowed. I will update my review to 4 or 5 stars when this change is made. Otherwise, this app is great and intuitive thus far! It's a great way to keep your brew from steeping too long if you get distracted

This would be my perfect app if only there was an espresso machine section given that this app appears every time I search the relevant keywords. I have two of the 5 methods above but it's not worth having two apps so I can find recipes for my espresso machine. Given that most widely consumed coffee recipes worldwide usually require an espresso machine it's odd that it's left out

One of the best apps out there. Amazing development, incredibly useful. I use it every day. Looking forward to new 2019 aeropress recipes when they are available!!

Potential to be good. Tbh i prefer this to be black and white theme vs current. As someone with a timer scale already, please add timestamps to the recipe. I think it's more important to know how long to pour, stir, etc vs having to swipe in the middle of the process for the timer (eg bloom).

Very nice app, i usually use aeropress method, may i suggest dding a different animation for "standard" method. Since all aeropress animation is "inverted" i get confuse midway if i was suppose to do it standard or inverted.

Heightened my coffee experience at home! I drink coffee. a lot of coffee. it was always made from a regular coffee maker and was good but now I use a French press and ChemEx for my java as well. this app helps you better coffee 2 water ratios with timers, numer of cups etc. really handy!!

One of the best, if not the best, coffee making app. You can record your recipe and log your coffee making process. The best part of the app is, once coffee to water ratio is set, it calculates your desired dosage of coffee and water to use, on the fly thus eliminating the need of creating different recipe for different dosage of coffee provided the coffee to water ratio is fixed. Highly recommended!

Neat little app for the heavy coffee consumer and experimenter. Needs the function to add your own methods though, because I have more than the 5 provided ways to make coffee.

It's great for the existing brew methods... I am hoping for a more open customizability or options for other methods such as syphon, manual espresso (flair), or espresso machine. Nice though

The only thing missing is a network so you can share recipes with friends. Otherwise, this is the best free coffee app I've found.

I really like the recipes this app has. Unfortunately, lately I am unable to edit any recipe. And when I create custom recipes, it doesn't matter how many ml per cup i put, it defaults to 240 ml

Its a great app. Seeing the aeropress and chemex made me search out how to use them. Would be nice if you include a siphon brewer to the list of brewers. Hope you add more improvements.

After I downloaded this app, I see it has various different recipes I am interested in trying. Only thing I am disappointed to see is that the brewing method is limited. I would love to see how to make different types like Cuban or Turkish coffee.

No espresso option. This app looks great for filter coffee drinkers, but useless for baristas or anyone with an espresso machine. What a shame!

Great app, really helps with dialing your brew as well as providing recipes and allowing you to record your prefeed ratios, grind size, brew time etc for almost every method
