COL Player for Android

The CDM COL Player for Android is an application specifically designed for the Android iphones and tablets. The application allows CDM students to download and view their COL lectures on their Android devices. It can display all the same screens as the desktop players, such as the video from the lecture, the whiteboards, and the lecturer’s computer screen. The lecture is downloaded on the device and is viewable offline.

Interface is intuitive, and the ability to download and watch lectures ahead of time is a great feature. Only issue I've found is it crashes whenever my bluetooth keyboard connects or disconnects.

Works great on Kindle HDX (3rd generation). It's crashed a couple of times and I've had to restart the Kindle as a result but so far the good has outweighed the bad.

It doesn't even download lectures. It would be nice if this school could up their support for linux seeing as it's kinda of been abandoned, not to mention I can't even use the android app since it won't download for what ever reason. Please get better linux support. And don't use Adobe Air since it isn't supported either.

Older devices suffer a heapgrowthlimit parameter not compatible with this app hence crash on video start. Rooted/modded kernels can get around this issue but your warranty is voided. App will not install if your device does not meet minimum heapgrowthlimit requirements.

Downloads are very slow and keep timing out. IPad version doesn't have this issue. Please fix.

I used the app on my iPad and it was awesome. Tried to use it on the Nexus 10 and it doesn't work at all. I would assume it just needs an update to be compatible with 4.2, but it would be great if that was done ASAP.

The app would be fine if DePaul would update it. It seems they, like so many other organizations, are only focusing on ipad.

Really couldnt view a single video. Downloads take forever. Not very user friendly either. There should be another way of watching lectures from mobile devices

Awful software. Buggy as heck and no support offered in app. Disappointed in DePaul.
