Works great. Plays good. Controls are good. Im having one issue. Trying to launch a game from arc browser. The program loads but only to the screen that says must turn system off before inserting cartridge. Maybe im doing something wrong. Do the games need to be in a specific place?
Excellent emulator for Colecovision. Only issue is that the games will not launch using ResetCollection Android frontend but does work with Launchbox. When launched from ResetCollection I get a message from emulator that says "Turn game off before inserting cartridge or expansion module". I have informed author of ResetCollection about this too. If this could be fixed it would be great.
I used the free version and I was impressed. So I bought the paid version to support the developer. The emulator works very well. It's so simple once you have the games a kid could easily use this to play hundreds of games. The system had a surprising number of arcade hits like donkey Kong and their are Homebrew games as well that are free to use. Look online for colecovision addict.
This emu works perfectly on my nvidia shield TV. I had no troubles setting up and using the nvidia shield joystick. This developer is also extremely helpful, friendly and responsive (I had questions concerning usage of a 3rd party android keyboard device and the developer responded quickly and promptly resolved my issue - great service!).
Works great on S9+ with pie. Great interface - very clean and easy to use. No issues setting up and running. Enjoying the games I played ages ago.
Had an issue but worked it out with the developer. Very responsive to the issue and got it fixed Thank you for working with me. If it was possible, I would give a higher score.
Awesome! Brings back so many memories to play Donkey Kong, DK jr, Ladybug. Works great on the Nvidia Shield TV with the Nvidia controller. I think it might actually be better than the original. Definitely worth the money!
oh my goodness...BurgerTime, Donkey Kong and all the 80's madness on my Nvidia Shield. I know this may be too much to ask for...Coleco Adam functionality! Buck Rogers (if anyone has made the tape to rom a possibility). Thank you again for your support for AndroidTV and NVidia Shield. You have made me a happy person.
The UI is a bit screwy, but the app does what it says on the tin! Enjoy an enhanced Colecovision, in your pocket!
Coleco,Perfection...just hold down on the constant updating...some just make this unplayable...but for now its perfection.
I'm surprised how well it works. So far I have had no issues running it. Seriously deserves your time to check it out. If I had a colecovision when I was a kid, my life would have been complete, lol
One of the better emulators for one of the better systems of time.
Luv Colecovision, luv the app. Smooth operation, clean graphics.
I love this game! Thank you! Have a wonderful day guys!
Brings back plenty of memories. Great app.
Has to be the best android coleco emulator out there!
The best colecovision emulator I ever played
Best Colecovision emu on Android, hands down
THE best colecovision emulator available for android....HANDS DOWN. I had this the first year it was released and continue to come back to this and all of the other emulators from Marat. He is one of the best developers around and continues to update all of his apps despite their age.
Living the old days of colecovision gaming on my phone, best app ever. Thank you very much for this app.
I still remember the awe I felt when I first saw the Colecovision playing Donkey Kong in a Hills department store in Pennsylvania. And now my son and I are playing games like GORF and VENTURE on this emulator and it's amazing. I bought an MHL cable so we can play the games on our 55 inch tv set. Even more amazing. Thanks for this great emulator.
Good emulator, I have all the devs ems, I think that they are the best.
Games play like I remember. Worth the download.
the only game I can get is kevtris and none of the other games show up in files
This is a good emulator, but poorly optimized for Android TV devices. Setting ColEm up for external joysticks is something of a Herculean task, especially if the joystick in question is digital. You can't escape to the menu without thumbsticks, and the BACK+A combination doesn't seem to work either. What I'd like to see in this and other Android emulators is the ability to select your options BEFORE gameplay starts. It would prevent a lot of unnecessary grief and filled swear jars. ColEm in particular could use a much better interface for customizing your controller... some functions are reserved for certain buttons, which may or may not exist on an Android TV. Why can't I use my controller's start button to exit to the menu? The camera shutter is, uh, not really an option for me. Having said all that, I'll acknowledge that ColEm works, and works well. You can turn off interpolation for a crisper display than you ever would have gotten out of a real ColecoVision, and compatibility hasn't been an issue so far. I haven't tried any roller controller or steering wheel games, but everything else has been hunky-dory. Pricey, but probably worth it for fans.
Haven't tried it on my phone, really just want to play it
I found that the Android version would not recognize .Zip files as the manual states. Only .rom are recognised. So I have to unzip all my files, then rename from .bin to .rom. After that, emulation is quite good with excellent sound, but for a few games the sound would disappear. I could get it back by adjusting the audio settings.
Coleco vision was on display with Donkey Kong hooked up to a TV I was 10 back in 1982 and thought it was so awesome after being able to play it at a Sears store in the mall in newmark Ontario I had to get it for Christmas Santa brought it and I was so happy played it a lot cabbage patch kids was funny and hero and Tarzan cosmic adventure ' frogger zaxon buck rogers I am 44 now and this emulator helps bring back memories, thanks so much, oh and did I mention minnor 2049er what a cool game,
It works easily once you get the hang of it on chromebook. The 8bitdo arcade stick works on this emulator but the first time I tried it didn't so I uninstalled and re-installed the emulator and now it works fine. It gives me issues like it moves to the left on its own or it won't go up. So I'm uninstalling and re-installing to see if that helps. It didn't help, so I'm trying again, although while mapping the buttons it does work. It doesn't want to work to move left or up.
