Absolutely useless if you want to look through product categories. You have to use the individual search function or scroll through your entire list of previous purchases. Recipes and the printed catalogue feature predominantly. If I wanted those, I'd just pick up the printed copies in store. The Woolworths app is much more usable. If you still want to shop Coles forget this app and use the web version.

I have to constantly log in all the time. I can't go from 1 area to another without having to log in each time. The app has really slowed down recently & takes at least 1 minute to open a page. It's very frustrating as you no longer give us receipts for online shopping & each week I log in to print my receipt & have to log in several times & then enter a pin you send me. This is not convenient at all. Please make it more user friendly.

Be great if the search algorithms were the same as the website. For instance I searched MY DOG. Every brand of dog food came up. I clicked sort by relevance, that didn't work. So I sorted by price and scrolled all the way to what I was looking for. I also expected that my lists would be synced. I won't use this simply because I do my shopping almost entirely from my bought before list. This feels like starting at square one and I don't have the time. Maybe this is the beta version. Feels it.

I like the Coles app. Easy to find products & simple checkout. My only suggestions (unless I haven't found them yet) are that when logged in, it would be good to access your lists as I can't seem to see them on the app but I can when logged in on laptop or PC. Would also be good to have the option like on a laptop or PC to shop via specials or brought before. Pretty happy otherwise.

Coles shopping app is incredibly frustrating with not being able to browse and select items quickly and easily. The lacking Categories feature makes it almost useless, especially in a time where many items are unavailable and shoppers would like to able to browse. Why have an app if you're not going to include some main features.

Just as bad as the online experience. Coles is incapable of addressing issues with checkout regardless of who you talk too. It's useless. Don't bother downloading it. Just visit the store. UPDATE. Received the request to contact customer service. They advised (once again) that they had changed my details and that this should help. This was the second time they had changed my details being address (line) snd bagging. No change. Still locks on "confirm and checkout" Unbelievable after trying three different browsers, clearing the cache on each, and three different devices (two laptops and my phone) Needless to say, I am not impressed with the app or the customer service. Since I am now "persona non grata" I'll take my business elsewhere.

Nothing good to say here, sorry. It's slow, not intuitive, at the checkout it just failed. Thankfully I was able to get my cart from the web page. But, that also failed resulting in a support call, I gave up after a very long wait and sent an email instead.

Poor/frustrating navigation in trying to browse/find items by aisle/category. Search function not great either. For example - when looking for 'nappies size 2' I get a mix of nappies AND 'cup-a-soup items (serve 2)' being listed in the search result...and sorting by relevance doesn't help either. Would also be great to sort items by price per unit.

I mean I installed it over 20 minutes ago and still haven't got past the "Just a few moments" screen. Since then, I've gone online with my PC, registered, started shopping there and posted this review, all of which makes the app rather pointless. Edit: make that over 50 minutes trying to open the app. Uninstalling. Embarrassingly useless.

Have used for over 2 years - the verdict: do not use! Unreliable regularly through time. Updates haven't fixed it through time. Instead, use website to make orders or risk losing all your items in cart at checkout and 'something went wrong' messages.

Signed me out 3 times just looking at products. Signed me out again when I tried to add a product to cart. When I log in gives me a random store that is no where near me. Twice delivered to wrong address out of 3 orders. I would really like to use Coles but struggling to use the service for home delivery. Think you need to get better developers for this app.

The shopping adds search is terrible. I did a search for sugar free yoghurt and i got a list of different types of sugar. Lo carb bread gave me a lost of protein bars. The option to sort is limited and isnt always available. The products have no nutritional information available. Im sticking with the website.

It's only for Click and Collect or delivery for online shopping. Hell freezes over before I do that, my problem, the app is not for me. What really concerns me is the statement that prices will VARY depending on the store and the method of purchase. I SMELL RIP OFF. ISN'T IT EXTRAORDINARY THAT ONLINE PRICES CAN BE CHEAPER THAN GOING TO THE STORE. It's quite common for me to check online and the store prices before I purchase in a Coles store. I'm sure the app is wonderful.

Problems with software, trying to log in and giving me a message "the browser on your phone isn't available right now". I have checks all my browsers work, app permissions are correct, chrome is the default browser.

Useless. Spent 45 mins adding items to my trolley, when I went to check out it said I had no items in my trolley. Then as I watched I saw the number of items in my trolley go down one by one. Home page won't load all of the half price items, and there's no way to browse specials. Why on earth would they release the app when it's clearly not ready.

Terrible app. Crashes constantly, finding products is difficult, then will randomly lose your whole shop. Needs to work on the app and not send you back and forth to the website.

Scrap this app and start again! Very buggy, nowhere near as good as the Woollies app. Everytime I try to load half page specials I get "something went wrong"... so frustrating. Navigation is not well thought out or executed. Unfortunately until Coles redoes their app I think they will miss a lot of sales to competitors. When I did get a Coles delivery awhile ago, there were no notifications of delivery and the driver didn't knock so groceries sat in the heat for 30 minutes. Back to woollies!

Your app is so broken after the recent updates. Cannot even log in. Totally useless since the fancy UI was introduced. Cannot browse the products, instead you have to know what you want to buy so that you can "search" for it.

This current version of the Coles App had missed the mark! It is missing the ability to search by specials, sort by unit price and you can't name your "lists" example I can't create a Gluten-free List, a weekly essential list etc. The App needs more work so that it is more user friendly and the user can personalise it to suit them. I suggest that whomever gets the final say on launching any further changes to this App shop on the website version to see how disappointing this App actually is.

Edit. I see the App has been improved since my last review (1 Star). It's far better than the previous app. Atleast it's an "App" and not simply a portal to the main website. Still needs improvement. No where near as good as your major competitors (Woolworths). That's the standard you need to be aiming for. BUT, like I said, you're heading in the right direction.

Set to Shop in store as I was in a store, scanned a barcode for a product and tried to add to trolley. App forced me to change the shopping method to delivery or click and collect. Makes no sense and app is many months/years behind the fully contactless experience of the Woolies Scan&Go app. Woolies also have AI scales to recognise fruit and veg and generate a barcode to scan to add to trolley.

"Oops Something Went Wrong"! This is the error message I get when I try to register for Coles Plus on both the app and website. I have attempted to sign up five times and get the same error message after my card details are entered. My details are correct. The 'Friendly Coles Customer Service Team Member' advised me to create another account as they couldn't give me an eta when the glitch would be fixed!? Obviously Coles does not want my money! OK, off to Woolies I go!

This app is horrible. It often needs to be uninstalled and then reinstalled because it simply doesn't work. When it does "work", simple features like accessing all the half price specials aren't supported and it makes the whole shopping experience negative.

Needed to reset password (twice) even though I already had an account, my lists were not available and the amount of promotion on the home page is over the top. I just want to shop. Not your best work Coles. It is now one year later and nothing has changed. My lists were not available and when I tried to look at my previous orders it sent me to the Coles website where it asked me to login again. Your app is amateur at best, Coles.

The app is very easy to use! Products are easy to search for and add to the trolley. The only thing would be for some products to have more detailed descriptions, for example, having the quantity of items in a pack. Or if you could zoom in on the product pictures.

Just redirects to a browser where you have to log in again if you want to do anything other than read a catalog. Also lists don't carry over to the website, so it's less convenient than using a different browser

I love that you can add items from the catalogue straight to your cart, but my excitement was short lived as this feature isn't available for recipes AND there's no option for categories to browse items. I can never remember what I actually need to buy until I'm walking around the aisles instore and without these categories, I ended up abandoning my cart and leaving the grocery shopping for another day.

Not able to put this on my Chromebook which by the way is excellent for apps..it has its issues...but you Coles are not available..techs pull your fingers out and fix this..have previously contacted other developers and heard nothing so the reason for this review..my mother shipped with you and so do I. Love the app instore with my list which will show where items are by aisle...if Woolies can do this and also be on my Chromebook so should you.
