Edited to 5* after finding that Insta360's own Mac editing software had the same issue! The app is quick, easy and pretty intuitive and the support via the smiley faces in the bottom corner is awesome! Quick, informative, personal and helpful. It seems that, through no fault of the developers the Insta360 Air I was playing with just doesn't play nicely and the audio doesn't synch well. so if you have an Insta360 you may have some grief but for the rest of you it's pretty perfect.
Some quirky UI in some spots (scrubbing video while dragging the bottom of the screen with no visual indicator; no indicator that certain toolbars can be scrolled left and right) but very powerful with lots of cool features. That said it is very strange to me that you can do something like overcapture, which seems very technically demanding, but not text overlays?
Good overall app for making 360 video compilations, For the people having issues finding your 360 videos make sure they are saved to your devices and not the cloud. Only after downloading from the cloud to the device did my videos show up, export quality is a little to be desired, My 8k video was very compressed when adding it to the compilations. As a business 360 user these software's are always to be desired but is very annoying when the meta data isn't saved on exporting this means you need to manually inject the data. Absolutely brilliant. I have a CV60 360 adaptor by Huawei and desperately wanted an app to able to edit the footage with. The Collect app is absolutely fantastic and did everything I could possibly want. Whilst I understand from others comments that initially it may appear confusing to use, once you have watched the how to video that is linked in the app, it is actually incredibly straightforward and intuitive. Really impressive so thank you so much, well done
Um yeah. This is the best app out there. Its a little hard at first because it's not like a software on your computer. there are not many words designating things (mainly because it on ur phone and there's not much space). It more of a touch app. But the functions are extremely powerful. Thank you for developing it!
This app could be great and I want to be, but as in my testing it was not up to part with other 360 apps I enjoy using. Needs to be refined. PROS: - modest design - reframing / horizon level (limited) - works with multiple 360 camera videos. CONS: - It lags a lot ( seems to be using a server base edit not sure?) - The Subscription Is Ridiculously High $40+ a year or $10/ video. ? What. - uses lots of data and battery. -waterstamp
¹ forward. Some of the features are nice but too be able to repeat them and get the same results takes an act of God. Which brings me to the price.... $9.99 for a single video is beyond ludicrous. $9.99 per month is again, non- sustainable. Especially with life just getting back to normal from Covid and now the war in Ukraine. The yearly fee is laughable as I can't remember the last time I had $120.00 to spare. Its been a great experience editing. Had a few problems with first few videos at the 90% mark and got the option to send bug report. No crashes or unhandled exceptions. Once I got hang of the UI the editing became fun. I love the intuitive interface, the option toggling is really simple.
It's the best app to convert video to 360 degrees, but I hope it gets stronger than this. Because the videos I make 360 degrees by using this app. Metadata Injector does not work. And tells me that the video has a mistake.so I cannot upload the video to YouTube.Also, the size of the video is large, because the 3 minutes range from 800 mb to 900 mb and more.I wait for the best
I do like this app but the fact that you can't just buy it for a one-time price and the yearly prices 46 bucks almost really deters me away from this app. After they reply that reminded me you can't get rid of the watermark unless you have their subscription instead of paying a one-time price unless you want to pay per video
When I first used it, 'twas easy and quick for editing. I even subsbribed for it but currently having a bug issue by which everytime I am about to download the finish product, a message pops out stating that there is a bug error. Please help me sort it out.
Hey developers what's up! Your app is amazing! Could you please add panosphere image editing available? And how about export setting optimized for YouTube and Instagram? That would be awesome! I am not liking this with this Note 5. I can make all the adjustments that are awesome but when I save it, projects don't stay in the format process to. example tiny planet I'll make one and it won't stay in the format on my phone or when I upload it to YouTube. if there's a fix or something I should know please let me know
The app is very intuitive and a breeze to work with. It takes away the nuances of trying to navigate through a series of events to upload 360 shots to the YouTube platform.
I'm confusing for 360 video editing since i have insta360 one x. i don't have high end PC. when i saw youtuber 360rumor doing with this app and smartphone. i tried this app and i'm happy finally i can do 360 video editing.nice app and it's fastest way. my first video on may channel Yadiesa. for developer: please add some more functional like text, image, effect for tittle. usually i'm editing standar video with Kinemaster. many good function on that app
Quite an intuitive app if you want to edit your 360 footage and control the viewpoint looking around. Found the export of the videos to be decent. Looking forward to them adding the animation ability to still images too!
Hate to leave a bad review but It replaced all my slow mo scences with normal and fastmotion on a video I posted on facebook... That really sucked because it took me a while to edit.. The video finished real quick and the music keeps playing after video has stoped..the reason I got this app was to bypass my PC.... Now it is useless if i can't edit properly .. Please fix
I'm an app novice starting with 360 video. But I've located files, framed and I think saved within 5 minutes so there's hope. I guess as ever start with an unimportant video and spare time. Prepare to fail and learn.
Awesome app! The new features the developer has added are great. It gives new life to my several years old Theta S, video wise. Will try the video features of the app with my LG 360 as well, I suspect the overcapture feature will work on the LG 360, like on the Theta S.
Perfect app for overcapture videos. Amazing editting options. One problem, i use galaxy gear 360 and once im exporting the file it says one or more files not supported. Unable to export after editting. Need help
The app continually refuses to work with footage shot with the Vuze XR. The video is recorded at 4K 30FPS, and does not have any difficulties working with other Vuze software. I've read good things about Collect and I want it to work.
Don't be quick to judge this app. At first glance it's a little confusing and takes some time to get oriented, but after using it, I wouldn't want to edit 360 any other way. Here's the first video I made. Search YouTube: Gliding On Air Kiteboarding Lake Erie Let me know what you think :)
Every update brings more AWE FACTOR!!! 360 video is fantastic and Collect is hands down the best 360 video editor ting app on smartphones. Amazing app by a great team who care about the experience and update based on user feedback. Keep up the fantastic work.
The display orientation and crosshair reticle are not very intuitive? Icons are not straight forward. Wasnt going to take the time to learn a new interface.
I use it to merge the 360 videos of my Yi 360 cam. The Yi cam cuts the files every 4 minutes. Developer is quick to respond to questions and bugs. When saving to external storage, files are stored in /Android/data/io.collect.collect/files/Movies
I really loved this application. Please see tutorial before use. App ui is not usual than other app. Quite advance and most of all the features available for 360 videos. Suggestions. More filters and colour correction can be very useful.
I have never used an app and fell to the pressure of going back and reviewing the app. Collect is so amazing that it forced me to come back here and write this review, this app should be in everyone's phone who use a 360 camera just because it is so convenient and user-friendly.
Once you got hang of it, then it's really cool to have composed it. But some glitch on file detection. Need to work around it like renamed the file to make it detected. However, once one of the file detected, then add more videos, other files started popping up. Dunno what's wrong. However, great apps. Thank you
