Really immersive. Entertaining. Only problem I have is that the graphics can be confusing and you get lost and forget to do something one year that might screw you up.
This game is Amazing but I think you guys should do professional football also. It's the perfect amount of difficulty but the top teams usually have the worst A.I. when it comes to recruiting wich is kinda unrealistic.
This sim does a lot of things right. The game engine seems realistic, and I loved being able to use the team editor to insert my conference of fictitious Florida colleges (led by the University of the Everglades Pythons). Where I have a problem is with the data presentation. The vertical lists of players' game stats are very hard to read and absorb, compared to the traditional newspaper box score. The same goes for in-season totals, switching between single categories instead of showing them as a multi-column table. Being able to easily read and compare stats helps me develop an affinity with my fictitious players, and this game falls short in that respect. Improve the data format and you'll have a real winner. I'd also like to see more focus on what's going on in my conference instead of endless lists of colleges that I don't really care about (until the Sweet 16 starts).
Well... It's Difficult. So there is that. It's realistic, and mostly to the perfect ounce of everything. One problem though: Transfers. See, in Football Coach 2, they fixed one of these problems, and reworked the other. In that game, recruiting is a bit of a slog, but FAR more realistic. And you can keep a single player that wants to transfer every year, which is fantastic, but that isnt the problem. The problem is you can't keep any of the players who transfer, and you can't choose who you get.
I've actually uninstalled because it wasn't saving right anymore, but I have to give this at LEAST five stars because of the amount of time I spent playing it when it worked better. I might keep an eye on this and if it gets updated again I'll see if it works properly again. There's certainly plenty to critique, like the save errors, or the typos, and things of the like. But also consider: no ads, no purchases of any kind, and a really fun niche game? Hard for me to be to cross about it all...
I LOVE the game. LOVE IT. But, I gave it a 1 star until we can get the reincarnation glitch fixed. Whenever I pick my D coordinator after I reincarnated, the game crashes. As soon as that fixes, easy 5 stars!!! EDIT: It looks like the issue is also present sometimes when I hit "contract status", and then game just crashes. Appreciate the reply, and i still bumped to 5 stars. Great work!!
I really enjoyed the game before the update, but there's an incredibly sour taste in my mouth about the game since I lost my save that I had spent a lot of time on. Still though, I tried the update and the balancing is all off. I'm stuck recruiting 3 star guys with the occasional bust of a 4 star, the new interface is clunky, I've selected a certain defense multiple times only for it to revert back to something else. I'm on the Reddit so I understand what's up, but this update has lost me.
It's good, but some of the settings can't be changed. I'd love to select the play by play option, but it does not show selected when I click it. Coaches change strategies based on what happens during the game, my brothers and I in the 60's played "Football Strategy", a fun game that somehow calculated the odds of a play succeeding based on playcards selected, and we played for a fairly long time. Me and both my brothers played football on 6-8th grade teams, a simulation has less pain.
The most hateful, stupid, vindictive, arbitrarily dumb coaching game I've ever played. Seriously; When one has a double digit numerical advantage across all positions including coaching plus plays the correct offensive and defensive styles to counter your opponent yet still loses seven straight conference championships by a touchdown or less seven years in a row you know the algorithm is garbage. Zero stars.
I love the game. And will keep on playing. Will just mention here what's going on since the update: 1. After every year my settings are being changed to the point that I have to edit them every year to (show players potential, allow for conference allocation and turn on career mode) and then it resets again the following year 2. After my coach retires, if i decide to reincarnate all the previous records are erased as if that coach and the players I coached never existed That's it :)
I like how it is structured, prestiege and upgrade points are stingy. Overall it is fun to play but in game features needs to be expanded on - special teams, halftime adjustments etc. There are several directions the programers of this game can go to improve the experience. Two stars because it's repetitive.
Excellent game if you love college football. The game does so much well and I find after a few updates my old strategies no longer as effective, indicating balancing is progressing nicely. Dark mode is perfect. My only asks are better pre and post game analytics, ui that uses something faster than drop downs (too many clicks), and an easy way to release/drop players and coordinators.
Okay so it's great except for a few minor issues that truly detract 1. Auto Recruiting feature needs to be put in place. 2. Coaching styles should be able to be set at the start like you should be able to select that you're a smash mouth style coach who runs a cover 3 defense right away for example. 3. Job offers should come from schools who like to run your play style. 4. Less randomizing with wins you shouldn't beat a #1 team then lose to a #100 team the next week. 5. Way too many injuries and suspensions it's just not realistic I'll work hard to recruit players and then they'll all get injured and suspended so we lose way more frequently.
Pretty awesome game, recruiting is fun, also you start off as coach during the 2019 CFB season, unless you do what I do. I edit all the college teams and Head Coach's to their actual legit name and mine has updated starting off 2021 season, which was pretty cool..
This is an awesome game and I've never been so hooked on a mobile game before. There is a glitch that makes tv contracts not work
By far one of the best video games I've ever played. It's extremely addicting as it goes very in-depth on what you can do in college football. Especially with the most recent updates as one of the most fun games I've ever played. My only complaint would be I cannot see my overall record as a coach or bowl victories once I switch teams. Once you retire you are able to see your entire coaching history, but I wish this was available during my career.
Really nice sim. Would definitely like to see an editor. Also ranking and scheduling is a little wonky. Had 1 loss, won conference and beat #1 team ... no playoff. 1 season i played the same team 3 times, lost by 2, beat them in conference championship and then faced and beat them in the playoffs. I guess a deeper playoff would cure those issues long as you are consistantly top 10 ... may try that.
This may be the most addicting mobile game I've ever encountered. As someone who uses mobile games several hours a day I'm blown away by this one. Yesterday I played this game from 3am to 1pm and then picked it up again shortly after my nap. It's deep enough to be challenging and demanding but not so complicated that things become tedious.
Well even after all of the updates, the most important glitch still remains, I played until the 2027 season only to have all league records erased. This game is all about stats and records, yet the records and stats are erased and often incorrect. It's pretty lame when you spend many hours building a team and breaking records only to have it all erased.
You can't call plays. If this game had the ability to call plays e.g. similar to Football Coach 2 then this would be a 4 or 5 star app. I don't like the instant results. I want to be able to manage games. But kudos to the developer. He does this as a hobby and has made the game for free. Everything else in the game is impressive and with a few enhancements, this could be a standout app.
Simple, yet comprehensive. Recruit whomever and however you like. Miss the run-heavy option teams of yesteryear? Bring 'em back with this game
has all the possqibility to be a good game but falls short in several areas. need to improve recruiting/the recruits and the sim engine wasn't very good I would be ranked middle of the pack in the 60s or 50s and I could always count on losing to a team in the 100s, this game could be very good but still needs alot of work.
After updating its getting better and better. Love this game. It is fun and the best time burner game out there. If we can get to where we can save during season, before and after a game, i would rate it a Five Star. Thanks for your time and allowing us to have such a good game for free. Also thanks for your timely response to my first review. Between one of the updates after my review the app crashing at various times has stopped. Keep up the good work!
This game is a wonderful simulation for its statistics and play style. I only wish that when your character reincarnated, the stars from your previous character(s) were saved. Everytime I reincarnate, all of the records from previous players and my coach are lost, which is a core part of the game for me.
Would give it 5 stars, but I got to ask why is it every time I get a pocket passer quarterback, he always ends up from 90 durability to being a literally glass cannon, there's no point in trying to be a pass focused team in this game, I mean you can have a good scrambler who throws nothing but picks and still win almost every game and make it to the Natty, but seriously you got to fix the durability issue on non running qbs, because star Pocket Passers should not be missing half the season
