College Recruiting by LemonAid

LemonAid is a social sharing and messaging app for college recruiting. Certified NCAA recruiting compliant and the preferred mobile athletic recruiting application of the NAIA, LemonAid is a free, fast, fun way to introduce athletes to college sports. LemonAid finds your fit based on academic and athletic prowess and/or lets fan, friend, family and coach recommend. Match to message. Upgrades available.
High school athletes create a FREE profile, which gives college coaches both a preview of the athlete's skills, accomplishments and achievements as well as a secure method to recruit them. Based on these recruiting profiles, LemonAid does more than just recommend colleges to the athlete; it also recommends recruits to a college. Both athletes and college coaches can swipe right to explore recommendations or swipe left to pass on them. Mutual interest produces a recruiting match, allowing high school athletes and college coaches to communicate directly with one another in LemonAid.

Also in the mix are club coaches, high school coaches, and potential college teammates – all of whom can directly connect with athlete approval/request. LemonAid even offers fans, friends, and family a chance to indirectly offer college recruiting suggestions. These subtle recommendations happen by dragging and dropping an athlete’s profile onto a recommended college and is then independently presented to athlete and college to view in their LemonAid 'deck'.

How LemonAid works:

1. LemonAid suggests a match based on social, academic, and athletic similarities. 2. Swipe right to like a recommendation; swipe left to pass.3. Does that sound too fast? No problem. Simply touch an athlete or college profile to learn more before choosing.4. Fans, friends, family and club/high school coaches drag and drop your favorites to make personalized recommendations for athlete and college to view.5. Mutual interest from college and athlete produces a recruiting match to allow direct communication with one another in LemonAid.6. Oops…swiped left too fast? Hit the refresh button to bring ‘em back.7. Don't know where to start? Check out the rankings to view colleges ranked by the LemonAid community.8. Before or after your college recruiting search, you can always find timely, relevant support from LemonAid and its partners on your personalized homepage.

“The NAIA is thrilled to establish a partnership with LemonAid, a company dedicated to connecting coaches and student-athletes,” says NAIA President and CEO, Jim Carr. “Their innovate college recruiting techniques will allow potential student-athletes to discover the NAIA school that suits them best.”

LemonAid is – and always will be – free; it doesn’t matter if you’re an athlete, a coach, a friend, a family member, or even a fan. However, with LemonAid Plus, athletes can choose to unlock some new features. For example, you can take advantage of the ‘Add Video’ option (upload your performances for coaches to view in depth and on the card), the ‘Right-Swipe Preview’ (see college coach interest before swiping), additional in-depth information about a college (size, cost, financial aid, contact info), even membership in multiple sports. If you choose to unlock these features, you can purchase an optional membership as an in-app purchase for $49 annual membership or $7.99/month.

If you choose to purchase, LemonAid Plus payment will be charged to your Play Store Account, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Auto-renewal may be turned off at any time by going to the user’s Play Store Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period. If you don’t choose to purchase LemonAid Plus, you can simply continue to use LemonAid for free.

As a college Coach this app has been incredibly useful in helping pair me with athletes that I never would have found through normal means. The customization they allow for teams' pages is excellent and it's easily the most user friendly recruiting app available. Keep up the great work!

This is an innovative app for an archaic recruitment system. The idea is truly cutting edge. Those who may be complaining about sign in protocols or a WHOPPING $7.99 fee (notice the sarcasm), should realize that they are receiving unparalleled access to the best and brightest high school swimmers in the country. As an Olympic athlete, if I were a college coach, I would happily pay for the app or anything in it for this kind of access. I wish this was around when I was being recruited! Just my two cents.

This app offers an innovative, convenient, and intuitive way for student athletes to identify and contact colleges from a range of divisions (many that they may have never heard of otherwise). It seems like this would be a great way for college athletic programs to gain exposure too. Great app! I really hope more sports are added in the future - there are a ton of athletes and colleges that could benefit from this!

Very slick app, Solid functionality and great for the sport of swimming! My swimmers really like it and I wish this was around when I was in the recruiting process.

Very cutting edge concept with direct access to the best and brightest.

This seems like a great way for schools to get the word out about their swimming program, and to recruit swimmers who otherwise wouldn't have thought they were cut out for college swimming. There are so many schools already on this app that I wouldn't even have guessed had swim teams

As a coach it requires you to login to Facebook. I don't have an account. That's the most ridiculous requirement. Should have an option for Google sign in or just sign up with an email address.

Sorry but I am old school and don't have Facebook. Would be nice to just create an account.

High school swimmers can use Lemonaid to market themselves to college coaches, and coaches can use it to meet athletes they might otherwise overlook. The recruit uploads an athletic and academic profile; Lemonaid suggests a pool of compatible colleges. From there, for a fee, the upgraded membership lets swimmers upload video of themselves in the water. It's an effective way to help recruits sift through an intimidating number of colleges (based on division, interest, available scholarships, etc).

It looks like the ios, not android. I got to the sign in with Facebook page (with no other option on how to sign in) and it will not work past that page. No where does it ask to "authorize" it just freezes on the "sign-in with FB" page. I force stopped FB and the Lemonaid app, didnt help! Good idea for app, sure wish it worked. :(

The idea is great and if the app worked properly I would have loved it. When you sign into Facebook it doesn't do anything and it just goes back to the sign into Facebook page. Once it's fixed I will definitely reinstall this app.
