No pronunciation, no use of the word in context, no audible sounds. No links to other useful words or synonyms. This is doesn't even start to become a dictionary. Just go use Google for free. Seriously lacking. Go look up Merriam Webster, do some work and then I'll happily pay twice as much.
Word eating by swiping to the next word in the dictionary is the best thing about this user interface. But learning how to read Irish pronunciation? Now that's the challenge.
Very helpful & easy to use. 5 stars would be given if it adds a audio pronouciation function. Thanks.
easy to use nice presentation on screen
a great service for when you just can't remember the word for X.
easy to use and a life saver for my children's homework
I'm looking for something that speaks to me Gaelic is a language you need to hear to learn it
I researched a word and it didn't show it meaning
Worth the few dollars I spent on it.
good .....for a few days
Edited: would be great if it provided the genitive and plurals of nouns as part of the entry. So far, I have loved this app. It's worked wonders for me... I even used it during a 2 week language intensive in Donegal last summer and (other than being yelled at to put my phone away... pretty intensely) it really helped.
This is a good app however, It'll be great if they improve the way the words and their meanings are displayed in a more distinct manner.
Pity that the app doesn't include phonetics / pronunciation. Otherwise, it good as a quick reference dictionary.
1 star because of the continual nagging pop-up asking for a five-star review.
I like the word of the day, but it would be great if they had a feature where you can hear the word with your choice from one of the major dialects (conemara region for me!).
Very good two way word search. Gives main grammatical forms and lots of usage examples.
Fantastic. Word of the day always shows a different word and not "Word of the Day.
Very easy to use and is comprehensive. Would love to see a grammar section
Would be 5 stars if it had pronunciation audio but otherwise great
Easy to use and indispensable to learning new and related words
User friendly app, that has easy to understand results
I love the word of the day feature.
No voice pronunciation for Irish, no thesaurus, missing a lot of Irish words.
I really liked this app it's really helpful
The Good: Works well and even got a life OCR word recognition which is usable too. The NotSoGood: App hangs after installing Offline-dictionary. App restart solves it though. And the price is at the higher end. But still acceptable for this.
Not worth the effort installing it. It's primary function is to part people from their money. There are many other better resources out there an they're free.
I'd like to thank the makers of this but I can't. It's about ad useful as perforated toilet roll. You cant use it unless you're online. Just use Google translator. At least that's free.
Concise accurate and easy to use
I don't know what you did to this app's design but it is terrible compared to the previous design. So much so that I am exclusively using focloir.ie in a web browser on my cellphone now. Such a shame since the old app was great. Whoever made this design decision seriously needs to consider finding work elsewhere, in my opinion.
