Not good so far, picture gets taken in app and only 1/3 of it shows on screen with a black space then the colors to choose from at the bottom weird glitch, not working out, photos taken from app are dark and dull so what you want will be recommended in a darker shade or different color all together! Laughable app! Not good at all! It's basically the eye dropper tool from Windows 95/98/2000/xp paint program..
it enhance my knowledge of architectural color selection and color combination. I advice who ever want to go far in house painting business should first start with bejaminm moore color capture. but old version seems to be better than this new version. hence I preferred the old version. thanks
Doesn't quite nail down any color. Like chasing water around the screen it reads every pixel and just gives you hundreds of options. I can better match a picture then this. Not sure how its going to be useful
Unfortunately the app crashes just after tutorial on my Pixel 2. I've Uninstalled/reinstalled the app and restarted the phone multiple times to no avail. I then installed the app on my wife's iPhone 6, and each time I try and upload a photo it crashes... Not great.
tried re opening, tried restarting my phone, and tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Every time i try to run this app it crashes after I click, "get started." I guess I can't get started...
Google SAYS you can control permissions. LIE. You can't turn off their permission that lets it troll through your phone and see what other apps you have running, you can't turn off their permission that lets it tell know where you are. On and on and on. This app wants permissions that they have no need for it and should have no desire for!
As another reviewer noted, this app does not load past the tutorial for a Pixel XL. Also, it appears that you can only match a color you take a picture of to a Benjamin Moore color, but cannot upload an image and virtually paint the walls, which is what I was looking for.
I cannot get this app to even open never mind actually work. I have tried over and over and over on my Google Pixel XL and once I click the get started button it just crashes.
Doesn't find colors well at all. Lighting is obviously a challenge, but using a phones flash and algorithms, i expected it to do better.
Color of the wall I shot closely matched what was on screen, but that color number did not at all match the paint chip with the same number. Not trustworthy.
I love the ability to pick colors but once you upload your photo you can't actually paint the colors on what you want to paint them on kind of ridiculous that picks the color choices for you I uninstalled it
Does not work at all. Keeps crashing. i would rate it a zero if i could! someone definately needs to fix it.
I was looking for a BM app that put color on a wall. Not tell me the existing walls are some odd shade of sheet rock white. This works great if you are looking to match a color in BMs arsenal. Not so good to see what that color looks like on your wall. Details are in the name and I missed that.
It didn't do the colour overlay thing that I downloaded the app for. Obviously I could have just gone to the paint store for a simple swatch. Oh well
UPDATE: Seems to work on my pixel xl now. I will give it another look Dies repeatedly. Won't function at all. I used it and liked it years ago. Disappointed it won't work. pixel xl. sad..
Works better than Sherwin Williams Paint App, less freezing and bugs in this one. Also like that under products they've detailed information to help but links videos.
The explore section is well organized. The colors are in order by shade and color
The app won't open, and keeps crashing rendering it completely useless.
it doesn't do what you want it to do like home depot old app you take a photo then go to gallery. and touch the pic and the cloro will paint you pic and you can change it. this only take a pic and grabs the cloros from the pic it wont let you choose a pic 👎👎
garbage. completely worthless. crashes, freezes, won't let you choose colors to paint on house
Takes one picture, then all following attempts are a black screen. Need to reopen or even reinstall to get it to take another picture.
The phone camera doesn't capture the color accurately so I'm not able to find the color I'm looking for.
Camera not working with app. I select the camera and give permission to use it, but just a black screen.
Not at all intuitive! Can't figure it out and can't find the instructions again.
This app crashes as soon as I try to get past the first run tutorial. I cant use it at all.
won't stay open longer than 10 seconds. i even went to app info and turned on all permissions. its a shame cuz i prefer Benjamin Moore paint.
App is garbage. Hire some professional developers. You make millions selling paint, spend money on an app that works. To have an app crashing 18 out of 20 uses is a sin in 2019. Shameful
Color matching from photos (I tested with known colors in other parts of my home) was wildly off.
This is a good start, I tried it using my phone camera to take photos of the siding on my house. the lighting gave me several options. Ultimately i was able to get an agreeable color using photos from two different spots on the house. I am suprised that it does not have a white balance to calibrate the photo taking out doors. Indoor colors were spot on, in every room. Perhaps ths is a tool best used on the interior.
