Had no issues with this app for 2 years then suddenly with the new update, it crashes as soon as I select a picture. Even on my brand new phone. Hope it gets fixed soon.
It's the best colour senser app. It could sense the colour from the picture i saved. And i find the background of that colour and "paste" over the picture so that it is difficult for people to know that i edited the picture. 👍
The app crashed 4/4 times when trying to select an image from my phone gallery. Time to delete.
Would be 5, app is great, but can't find a way to search for a colour manually by name to get details. Would be a great addition.
As an artist and writer, I'm constantly trying to discover new colors, their names and what looks good with them. For that, this app is perfect.
Its ok .. just ok. I think it needs much more work, but electronic components have a way of making things like this difficult at best.
App crashes when I try to color pick from a picture stored on my cellphone. Camera function works great.
Not always 100% but served its purpose. I work in garments manufacturing, and have to do a lot of colour shade approvals
Does the job, but very ugly.. Also sometimes crashes trying to open a picture from the phones memory
This app is accurate and has been extremely useful to get and develop color palettes. I don't use the photo feature but definitely use it on downloaded images to get image colors.
Matched BMW x5 silver to dulicolor without referencing the book and I don't think that color is even for the x5 . Dried absolutely dentical even has the metal flake
I like this app and the amazing colour names. Difficult to aim as it displays upsidedown and crashes when I try to open a photo.
Will never know if it's good or not; doesn't work with my Droid tablet,
No good. Everytime I try to use a photo from my gallery, it just sends me to this page of the Play Store.
Works from the live camera but crashes when I try to use any from my gallery.
Helps me know what colours are, I'm colour blind so it's very useful
My sister wanted to know what color she was wearing. This app helped identify the color as "Silver Chalice". Problem solved. Nice app. Recommended!
it works on my camera, but when i try to detect colour on a photo in my gallery it keeps crashing
I was wearing a shirt the other day that I considered to be red, but someone else insisted it was orange. Colour Capture identified it as red! Yay!
Not a designer but i am colourblind & it's awesome playing around with this app
The same material may show a different colour at different times. Also, the converter can do with a reset button. Stops when using the hex unit as input.
Great app, this is what most designer want. Great app with accurate color identify, color converter, and more detail about color. Need improvement with picking color from file. In case if I touch wrong color to pick.. Good luck!
Theres one problem though, it crashes every time I try to get a pic from the Gallery
Except the color will vary depending on lighting, I tested it on my wall, it's registering 3 colors of similar shade depending on the angle of my camera and overall lighting, but as long as it works :D
Crashes every time I try to open a picture from my gallery..
If u could uninstall this junk it would be the best thing to do
Turns out it wasn't Salmon or Peach color, but pastel pink. App works great!
Same as other reviews, keeps crashing
Great idea but not good practically. Tried to identify the colour of my guitar (which is a metallic cream colour but every time i use this app its colour apparently changes... blue... grey... orange & even green!).
Don't expect it to capture the exact color simply because of the variance in camera sensors and lighting. For example, a book cover in daylight will be a different color than in florescent or incandescent lighting - it's why paint stores have a multilight box. It's why color sensors often shield outside light so they have a more controlled environment. The same will hold true for the camera sensor. To minimize the effects, diffuse your flash (scotch tape) and minimize outside sources of light.
