Color Namer
Color Namer lets you name colors in the world around you using your camera. You can also explore the whole named colorspace with a color picker, search through color names, and find names for hex values.
The named colors in the app were taken from the results of the XKCD color survey: xkcd.com/color/rgb/. This huge survey asked real people to name swatches of colors. After some data processing by XKCD, the survey resulted in some pretty funny color names, like "ugly purple", "boring green", "vomit yellow" and "barney".

I'm colorblind so this app really comes in handy, especially when their is no one with me to ask the color.
Hey Katie! Nice app. But you gotta update this app. Add a feature to get color name from images in device storage.
super helpful for colorblind people. Now I don't have to guess when working with wires
it's good but the camera is really blurry so it doesn't actually give you the real colour
It is good if we can upload a pciture and then color namer stated all the color in the picture.

Don't really like that some of the names have swear words in them. But it's still pretty good none of the less
About 50% of the colors I use aren't colors. And that's not really very silly.
Quick and easy to learn how to use. No messing about. Does exactly what it says on the tin.
Also there should be a feature to hue color from an image taken from gallery.
I am red green colorblind and this app helps me identify what color things are. Very useful.

Just what ive been looking for something to detect live colours and their hex code. This so much helps when someone points a colour for you to work on for some design and you can just point app's camera at it and boom here you go. Dankie
It does a pretty good job at identifying colors and has a clean interface that makes it easy to use. My only complaint is that the camera is rotated 180 degrees on my phone. That makes it difficult to point at specific objects.
Would be awesome if it could convert colours to faber-castell pitt pastel pencil numbers aswell then it would get 5🌟 from me 👍😏
Powerful app helps to find colors in a easy way. It will looks perfect if includes Pantone fashion color standard code.
I like it, but to love it, it would be cool if it allowed me to upload an image from my phone as well.
Works pretty good, useful for those few times where you need to know a color, and nobody is around for you to ask.

Good app with interesting approach. Results heavily depend on the scenery, as phone cameras adapt to it (white balance auto). It would be useful to have at least a "lock white balance" feature, on current ambient light, pointing to a white or grey surface.
It's really good. One flaw I can say is that it should include better names for all colours.
