Color Noir - Coloring Book

PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THIS APP COLOR BY NUMBER....PLEASE!! This app may have a few flaws but it is by far the best app I have come across with the freedom to pick your own colors. I did subscribe and I love the picture options. The only things that it needs are a options to pick brush size to color with(a slide scale would be great), an erase tool with size option, a transparency option, and maybe an inside outline option where you can either stay in the lines or color outside the lines.

Love that there's plenty of melanated images to choose from. I think it would be even better if there was a way to "lock in" a color. It's more frustrating than relaxing when you go to click on a small area and it doesn't take or it turns the area around it that color. Then you have to stop and "undo" it before moving on. Sometimes the colors stay put, then other times the color on the picture will change if you click on a new color. Love the freedom to choose colors, just wish they would stick.

Great images celebrating black culture. It takes a while to open up, though. When it does open, it immediately shuts down my music player, which is odd since there's no ad playing. Also, the app freezes when I'm trying to expand a picture to color in details. I reopened the app twice. One picture I was coloring disappeared completely, and I lost my progress on the other. I wish there was a way for in-progress images to be saved. I'll probably wait until these issues are resolved to play again.

Good Start. However, I think that if it were paint by number where the colors are already chosen; it would be more efficient and enjoyable. It is very difficult to choose the small details. And having to scroll to find the colors is challenging. I do like the fact that you can choose different skin tones but the set up is just too difficult to enjoy. Also, I understand that money has to be made but the subscription service will hinder profit (just too steep). If you focus on Ads you will grow.

Nice illustrations, but drawing tool has only one size, and it's too wide to detail with. Not sure the point of it. There were a few tiny spaces I couldn't reach to fill. Maybe eliminate them as solution. I understand it costs $$ to develop the app, but ads at every area transition was a bit much. Disappointed to say that for now the subscription price is just not worth it for what you get. I appreciate the printable. You should also make a series of coloring books if you haven't already.

I just downloaded it. I love the photos being used. Love the color palettes as well. But in the past 30 minutes of coloring I have had to force reboot my phone twice because of freezing. The picture I am doing is coming together beautifully. It's coming out gorgeous and I do feel relief when I use it, but, unfortunately, I may have to uninstall the app. :(

I absolutely love this concept! I'm new to this type of app altogether, but have come to love it. While the initial android release has a limited number of colors/palates, I do understand there will be a vast array coming shortly with the new update. The variety of images run from simple to complex, and all celebrating the magic of melanin! My phone screen is a little small, so it can get a bit precarious trying to expand the image and change colors without altering the selections you've already made. I plan to try this on my tablet with a stylus to see if that helps. I look forward to the update!

I like the concept but it's difficult to color in detail. Sometimes when choosing a new color from the palette, a section of the illustration changes or loses the color it already had. Some sections won't fill in at all and the next screen is non-responsive to clicks. Looking forward to the next update. Sugg: Better palette collection, fix bugs for detailed fill-ins, section locking- via pop-up tool or some sort, and I'll have more when I can get to the next pages of the app.

Not at all relaxing. You're not able to use a stylus, which would make the experience much more enjoyable. There are very small parts of the picture that can't be colored when tapping them with your finger. What happens is either the section you've already colored turns white again or the area around the section you're trying to color is what gets colored.

I quickly grew fed up with this app upon launching it. There is a pop up that keeps coming up saying i can color a particular picture if I watch the ad. Fair enough and noted, but why keep popping up after i have exited the pop up every 10 seconds or so? I couldn't even browse through the pictures to see what was available due to this pop up. I shut the app down and relaunched it and it did the same still. I won't be using it until another update is released.

I am so grateful for an app that includes people of color. However "coloring" is similar to a makeup app. You choose the colors, like the skin tone or clothing. The colors are not provided and you are left trying to figure it out on your own. Also, this app is not user friendly and you must subscribe to "unlock" all of the pictures or watch an ad to color one pic. I understand the need to cut costs but this is irritating. Uninstalling...

Love this App, but wish it was a paint- by-number. It's easier applying the colors and the colors "stick" to any given particular area you're painting with the already 'preset' paint-by-number. It's 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐because of the beautiful great sketches, but I gave it 4 stars because I prefer paint-by-number. Going to search to see if these great artists designed it in an app that comes that way. I hope so🤞🏾

Was already loving Color Noir App's Instagram page and the art & artists it's revealed to me. Now that the app is on Android, can say that the app's quality matches its online experience. Intuitive with the basics of zooming, panning, palette switching, undo-ing actions. Auto-saved my painting when app restarted once, so I was able to return and finish up -- great to pick up where I left off and not lose those minutes of work. App overall works smoothly, interface allows process of creating and sharing attractive art to feel stress-free & seamless -- which is pretty key. Disclosure: personally know the developer

The pictures are DOPE!! what sucks is that you have to use your finger. If this would allow a stylus to be used this would be an awesome app. I already use Tap Color and its amazing, however, not a lot of diverse pics which is what I was looking for. If you can fix the stylus issue, and less clutter on the main page, this app could go so far. Im un-installing this app after only having it for 5 min tops!

This app has many exceptional art works, however the actual exposure when colouring them in let's it down. Many of the smaller sections cannot be coloured in as it doesn't allow you to zoom in very much. With a lot of patience you may be able to colour in the whole photo, you may just have to settle with some small grey pixels in your final painting

I like the pictures, they have black representation(in alot of coloring games, there are only white people) so thats why I like it,but the pictures take time to load and you can't color in small spaces. It will take patients and time to finish the pictures. But other than that it is really good.

I want to love this app but in current form I just can't. No stylus/pen support. App is not responsive when you are trying to color in small spaces. Like I'm pressing one area and the color changes in a near by space instead. Feels like something a update could fix. I only used the free option and I'm on a Samsung Note10. Also while using the app my pho e became really hot. I uninstalled it. Will just be a fan on Instagram.

I love the images but this app is more frustrating than relaxing. I have to tap the screen multiple times to apply a color i can't use my stylus if those issues could be fix that would be awesome. What would make this app #1 if we had the ability to customize the background by uploading our own images.

I love coloring! I have a lot of coloring apps and books. I'm always looking for my image and could find few to none. I'm so excited that you created this one. You have the best color palettes I've ever seen. I like how I can tap to color and tap to remove color-- please keep this feature. I'm looking forward to see where you take this. THANK YOU!!

Great app to help you when you need to zone and zen out. The free version offers a lot of choices. There is a little bit of something for everyone. Also one of the few if not the only app where people's thoughts and inputs matter and are also implemented. Highly recommend.

Beautiful art work, loving images that represent me and what I see in our culture. Excellent to give to my neices & myself for relaxing coloring because we posses vibrant colors, style, grace in real life which we can bring to life in these pages. Love it!!

I LOVE the fact that there is a black coloring book but it needs a LOT of work it freezes a lot and it takes a long time to register when u try to color a space. There is also white spots that won't except a color and you can't move the page to the end to color the edges please fix and I will redownload the game

This is a Horrible app. Loading the pictures takes a while sometimes. Then when it does load I'll start coloring in a picture and switch colores Then it freezes up :-( UGH !!! Fix this issue and I'll use this app every day,, You have the most awesome pics and the most beautiful women pics.. I hope you get this worked out I really want tio keep coloring your pictures

So I added this and it said free for 7 days and then it was gonna charge me. Why did it take my money right away? I tried coloring and it kept messing up. Wouldn't let me undo it. I was initially happy and looking forward to having my 8 yr old see them and color as she always wanted one's that resembled us. So I subscribed, it took my money right away. It's not a free trial at all and the app doesn't work properly. How do I get my money back? False advertising. No stars

This app sucks! Long and frequent ads, the pictures are hard to color, meaning the sensitivity is high, and if you accidentally tap an area with a color it changes instantly. And this app is not free, have to pay to color certain pages.

Great app! I love seeing our people represented in such a... colorful way (pun intended). The app is easy to use, nice panel and array of colors to choose from. You can really zoom in to color the tiniest of details. Great app!

None of the image's open and ads won't play when you click them. I guess I'll continue using my other apps and just enjoy the issue free experience. I'll definitely check back in and give it another chance especially since you took the time to respond unlike other apps thank you!

Terrible app. I was excited, but quickly disappointed. App is slow. It freezes. It locks up my phone. I uninstalled it after trying to color 2 different pictures. Coloring is usually a stress reliever. This app is stressful. #alldone

I don't have much experience with the app but my complaints are that the brush is too thick and u can't change it and the fact that that when I tried to color, the color just goes over the lines so I can see what I am doing. I would also like a blending tool please.

Unable to color pictures on Samsung Note with stilus pen. I am able to color with my finger but the whole purpose of having the Note is to utilize the pen as much as possible as I personally do not like using my finger. Unfortunately I will have to uninstall and hopefully in the future they fix the app to work properly with the Note's.
