The sample rooms to try on paint colors are helpful. This gives a general idea of how these colors might look. But remember you are looking at pixels on a screen and not true paint colors. I would like to tap on a swatch and quickly see the name of the color. In addition, maneuvering the app is challenging. The best thing to do is still pick up the swatches at the store and buy a color samples.
I really want to like the app because it's more convenient than a webpage. But it has near 0 functionality into terms of creating pallettes and saving projects. It's annoying because it seems like you should be able to, but I have no clue how. I don't know, I've just favourites all the paints I have in my house but it hard to mix and match to see how what I have will work together throughout the home.
I downloaded the app while looking at the switch catalog I had picked up to browse the colors. Unfortunately the app itself doesn't not work. I am left with something that force closes no matter what I do even after a reinstallation. I had hope to use the added features to help decide on some colors for the rooms needing to be painted but this app will not be that help unfortunately. I hope this big is quickly fixed.
This app is great, but the biggest downfall about it is you can't register for an account. So if you upgrade your phone or have to reset it for any reason you will lose all of your projects, saved colors etc. It also doesn't match colors very well. So if you take a picture of your wall the color it suggests is always way off.
Can't visualize your own room. You take pictures using the app camera and nothing happens. You pick a picture from your own gallery...and nothing happens. You can play with colors using their stock pictures but what's the point in that?? The whole reason to download the app is to see how the paint color would look like in your own home /project.
Pictures of colors I want to either match or coordinate never show up, even when taken within the app. I've saved project colors by room and can't locate any of the saved projects. I can't put together two of my own color choices to see if they coordinate. This is turning out to be pretty useless. Very disappointing!
Not very intuitive. Would like favorite colours to be available from Preview Colors section. Would like to be able to pick any color to match with what is already on the wall, currently only able to match with suggest colors. Cannot save different color combos from same Project wall even if naming convention is different. Would like this option to go back and compare later. Nice to capture wall color and compare to others, but too difficult for something so simple.
Not good. When it says I can see what a colour looks like in -my- room I expected some sort of AR feature. It's not very intuitive either, I selected one colour to see what it would look like and now I can't get back to choosing another colour. When I selected the scan option, it wouldn't work, nothing came up.
This app is not of much use. It could be highly functional and helpful in identifying, coordinating and selecting colors, but it's not good at any of those things. You're time is better spent going to Home Depot and collecting color swatches to take home. You have to grab a lot of them to see in your space because the lighting in every Home Depot paint area is horrible.
I picked 900 colors before I made my mind up. I never new how to delete old saved colors. This app is so cool I looked for day. Then I could look again and change my mind. But I finally found the perfect color. I made a 85 mile trip to purchase this paint. It going to be perfect. Looked better in the can than on the phone.
The only thing I am able to do is look at paint colors . There is no place for you to save anything !! No favorites , no settings , only a save project window , that only let's me pick one color, and it doesn't even save the names of the paint . I could pick rooms and paint for about 3 hours , now it goes to the rooms , just won't paint ??
Love being able to have the paint hues on my phone, at my fingertips! Exploring by color or color name is wonderful. So easy to try out colors on walls from provided room pictures. If I could change one thing, I would add the LRV number to each paint name. Otherwie, I love the app. Even the paint calculator worked great for my projects!
Color matching from your phone is so highly subjective that its impossible to get a decent match. I took 12 photos with various lighting and they all came back wildly different. Even when taking an average of all color samples, Home Depot couldn't get in the ballpark and ended up cutting out a small patch to bring in. The associate said this app is only good for getting an idea of what a NEW color may look like, but that too was subject to lighting conditions.
Good useful app. I have used it for years along with other similar apps. The only issue now is Behr seriously needs to update the colour selection in the app. They app colours are our of date so you can't find them in a current colour deck, and vice versa. This is really important because the screen never displays the colour perfectly and it is important to cross check a colour with the deck. Please update the colours!
I love using this app to get ideas for paint! You have to go into realizing it could be a shade or so off, but overall it's fairly accurate. The lighter colors are where I see inaccuracies, but I would expect that going offline.
The colors shown online look nothing like what they do on a paint chip!! The app is helpful to get maybe get you kind of near what color you might want but nothing more than that. When color matching it also picks a new color if you pick even a slightly different part of the picture.
This app needs a contact link for ordering swatches. Also, it should indicate which colors are currently available. I looked for swatches of my favorites in-store; finally asked for help & was told they were from the new 2019 colors. So I have to wait & make a 2nd trip in January. Not terrible, just not accurate or convenient.
Why would Behr remove the best function of this app? You *used* to be able to add your own pictures to see what the color looked like in your room, and now that function appears to be missing? Sorry but my tiny bathroom doesn't have the lovely natural light like your stock photos do, so I have no idea what these colors would really look like. Ugh. So disappointing.
Won't show the selected colors on the sample room pics. When the app was working a few weeks ago, I requested it send an email to me with the selected colors. The picture came through, but it didn't tell me what colors I picked. Makes it difficult to go to the store and buy the paint when the email doesn't tell you the paints colors. Such a waste...
I am pleasantly surprised at the color selection and helpful tools. Has helped me pick the paints for 1 entire house head to toe (or roof to floor aha) and our new kitchen. We are pleased with the palettes we chose. Only thing is I wish you could select a color and then see the actual card or at least have the option to see the lighter or darker optons for that exact color.
Couldn't upload my own photos and apply colours.. also the bar-scanning feature doesn't work, had to find the paint colour by number; when tried to use the color from the photo I took, it came up with a totally different colour (grey instead of a blue). wouldn't recommend relying on the colour match function..
Completely inaccurate. I used the color match for a neighbors painted fence, so we could continue the color. It match to a color and I did it a few more times, with other pictures, to be quite sure, kept coming back with one color. Looked accurate. We bought 3 gallons, painted and soon realized it much lighter & pinker. $100 lesson learned.
Paint Your Home Not. Although you can pick project colors & use it on THEIR pictures, you can't upload or use their paint your own room, upload your own photo, visualize your house features. In one section a pic will upload. But it zooms in & crops your photo, so you don't actually see it. The features to paint or choose colors for your own pictures DOES NOT WORK. Uploading your own photo on another feature shows blank screen. Defeats the purpose
App has potential, that is why I gave it two stars instead of one. However, a photo-match I did last night is not retrievable today. I select the photo I took, and it comes up with a blank screen. I am going to download a different app that hopefully will work.
The colors in the app have no resemblance to the color samples in store. There have been so many instances where I've highlighted colors I want in the app and I've gone to the store and the sample card looks nothing like it
No useful models, to be able to see how they would look on your home. What use is uploading a picture, that the app won't let you use to simulate the colors? This app is better than the home depot project color, which does let you upload, and use your own photo, but doesn't apply the paint properly. I would love it, if someone knows of an app that does. You pay $10,000 to have your house painted, it would be nice to see how it will look, beforehand.
colour matching with a cell phone is a laughably bad idea. they're horribly inaccurate. this isn't a failing of the app per se, but to imply it's even possible is just insane. go to your local hardware store and pick up some swatches; that's the only way you're gonna match anything.
Excited and then disapointed. The app worked great BUT does NOT allow you to use your own pictures to test out the colors in your own home. That is what I was looking for. Gave access to my photos and it doesnt happen. So why do they ask for access!?! I don't like that!😕
Error in preview now makes it useless, when before it was useful only if you have no idea where to start and just need to get general ideas. Useless for specifics of which actual colors of paint you want to buy because it isn't calibrated to real world color and doesn't have the flexibility for custom options like choosing your own combinations or even locating your preferred colors in proximity to their other color palette options to help refine tone selection. But hey, NO ADS, so...Yay?
