Colt Express

This is a shining example of why you should NEVER support Asmodee software/apps. Asmodee has no intention of letting you keep them long term, and makes sure they can effectively "flip a switch" to kill past purchases. Now literally unplayable. Shows title screen, then shows screen with creators/licensors... then... Just sits on that second screen. Forever. Do not pas go, do not play game ever ever ever. App has all access/privelages requests, simply does not work.

Needs pass-and-play, and an option to turn off or greatly speed up the long animations. Very pretty, at least. I'm not especially sold on the story mode; having different goals than the rest of the players sounds fun in theory, but it winds up being not a lot of fun - each story mode level feels like a puzzle that's only got one solution. Anyway, enjoyable enough but without pass-and-play I'll probably not play it much.

The story mode is interesting and varied. Some of the stages of the story mode were very difficult and others quite easy. The classic mode is very easy to win because the AI isn't very bright. Story mode is worth the money, but now that I am finished with that I'll probably uninstall. Some of the buttons overlap and so it's easy to hit the wrong one.

Myself as jury is still out.. I've played the board game several times, so I do know the abilities of each of the game characters. I've started by playing the introductory episodes. Cheyanne has been frustrating, then confusing. In the board game, Cheyanne's ability is that when she punches, she grabs loot from the other outlaw. She doesn't have to spend an action picking it up. In this game, in the early chapters, she didn't get the loot automatically, and I had to stop and re-play the episode.

Great Western themed boardgame! The animations, controls, and theme all work very well with the gameplay. The solo story mode with comic book chapters is a nice touch. Lots of unlocks and achievements to give this game replayability. I play a lot of boardgame apps and this is one of my favorites. I haven't played online yet, but there is a good challenge with solo play. Very happy to add this to my boardgame app collection! One of my top favs now.

Fun little "programming" style game. I dont have the physical board game version, but from what I can tell this is a good representation. I have enjoyed this game so far in solitaire mode vs the computer. I dont think the servers are up anymore because I get unable to connect to servers all the time when I try to log in.

One of the bugs of this game is that you may not be able to exicute an action, because the game places the icon that you need to push to perform the action behind one of the character pictures. The game freezes and you have to start over. The game uses a lot of power, if you forget to turn it of it will run your battery down.

Terrible app. It froze multiple times during all 4 online games my friends and I tried playing. Was only actually able to finish 2 and half of us were kicked out during play. Says there are no players online when all of us were connected. At one point spent about 20 min trying to start a game with no luck. It gets 1 star because I can't give it zero. Should make this game free until it can actually be played.

Getting a local multiplayer is too difficult; need to create an online game and hope some rando doesn't jump in instead of your friend. There are a few bugs too, like the character selection and how it doesn't let you pick a character. Fix those and I'll rate it 5/5.

Excellent short board game port. Never owned the physical version but this is a good game and cheap at the price. Tactical and fun. Good for all ages. After a few weeks with this game, and having played a lot, my review stands with the addition of a lovely strategy game to kill 10 minutes or so but there is more too this game than at first glance. Character combinations and Individual characters stories make it a longer and much better game overall. Still only 10 mins or so a game. WOW

The game is really great, I've only played single player till now and still need to explore the story mode. The tutorial could be a lot better though. It left a lot of questions in my mind for which I had to watch YouTube videos of the original board game.

Why on Earth do you not have either an option for local pass and play or online multiplayer with an AI opponent? I've been sitting here for a good fifteen minutes with a server with only two people on it and no way to start a game. Add those two things and my review goes up to five stars. Thank you

Love the board game, so snapped this up at a bargain price. App won't load, just freezes up on start screen (initially asked for permissions to be set - after that was done, just nothing). Appears to not be compatible with android 11 - and given the last update was in 2017, I'm not anticipating any patch soon. Swift refund processed. I'll stick with Board Game Arena's version to play on the move.

The computer players on this are just terrible, it feels like they just randomly move. They don't feel like they're playing, it's just that they get in the way a bit sometimes. At the very least, implement min-max or put a difficulty level on the game...

Settings-->Apps-->Application Manager--> Colt Express-->Permissions-->Storage // True to tabletop version, which I own and have demo'd/taught. A few glitches here and there (plus the AI knows what card you play in a tunnel), but the graphics, music, and new modes are great.

Bought by whole family due to thoroughly enjoying the table top version over Christmas and so wanted to be able to play together despite all living in different parts of the country as we do with Ticket to Ride. not at all clear how to create a game with just us and so makes it pointless.

I love the look of the game and it is fun, but an app version of a tabletop game that doesn't support pass & play local multiplayer? Not a chance I can give that anything more than 2 stars, very disappointing such a basic feature isn't there

Its a faithful adaption of the board game, comes with a rather robust campaign for singleplayer. Rather quick to learn, fun can be a good laugh playing with friends.

Game won't go past the start screen it would be nice if Asmodee actually updated thier apps. I paid for this app and now I can't even play it because it just won't load anymore. It was a great port when it did work but now it's just another forgotten port that they won't support.

multiplayer is unstable, no reconnection mechanism, when playing with more than 3 players we get disconnects. Gameplay and graphics are cool.

Such great practice for the board Game itself but superb as a stand alone as well - I wish the Stagecoach and Horses expansion could be incorporated too. The spirit of the game is perfectly captured here - well worth it - get your Stetson on and start GunSlinging. Well done to the GameSailors at Ludonautes - this is awesome!

Adding myself to the list of people who have discovered that the app no longer works. Should be fixed or removed from sale. Don't bother buying it right now

This is a very entertaining card based programming game that eliminates all the fiddliness of the physical board game, and allows you to just have fun with the game play.

Couldn't even open the game. Crashes intstanly. I only ever have this problem with Asmodee apps. Had the same issue with Isle of Sky. Please fix your apps.

What a great game, I love the table top version and this mobile version made me could practice my instinct to play on the real one. Very satisfying, maybe you can add more character😁

We are having the loading problem as many others are and there seems to be no solution offered. Really disappointed in asmodee for the lack of support for this and all other issues still to be resolved

Get rich and get out is the 1st line of the game info... And that's exactly what they have done! Dont bother! A paid app that simply doesn't work. The board game is so good but this is just pointless.

To all that are having problems with starting up the game please follow these steps before launching it. _select settings _select App management _select App permissions _select Apps _select Colt Express _click storage _now launch the game. Enjoy the game guys✌️😄

Played ok on my previous phone. Now upgraded to Pixel 5 on Android 11 and game just hangs when loading up. Also no sign of the expansions either which is poor.
