CPD is proud to present its mobile application, Columbus Police mobile app. The app is free to the public and gives users access to the latest news, photos, videos, events, crime alerts and public safety information, no matter where you are. In addition, the application offers a special feature for submitting anonymous tips. Join us in working together to make the city of Columbus a safer place for our communities and families.
The following features are included in the application:
•Media Releases: Read the latest news from the Chief and members of the Division.
•Crime Maps: View real-time crime maps of activities in your neighborhood or across the city.
•Submit a tip: Be the eyes and ears of CPD and help the Division by submitting tips to help fight crime. The application has the capability to allow users to anonymously chat with an investigator.
•Alerts: Sign up for alerts that can be delivered to your cell phone or email.
•Twitter: Follow and communicate with CPD through a direct link to the Division’s Twitter account.
•Facebook: Review the latest CPD information on Facebook and become a friend of the Division.
•Nextdoor: Sign up for Nextdoor and get citywide information, as well as neighborhood-specific information.
•Ring Neighbors: Sign up for Neighbors by Ring and get instant crime and safety alerts from your Neighbors.
•Videos: Watch videos from CPD’s YouTube Channel.
•Instagram: Users have direct access to the CPD Instagram page.
•CPD Recruiting: Find out everything you need to know about applying to become a Columbus Police Officer.
•File a report: File some non-emergency police reports and accident reports online.
•Links: Access other City of Columbus department links and other area agencies.
•Police Substations: Easily locate all CPD police stations and locate the substations on a map.

•Email Feedback: Provide feedback to CPD. Help us improve our services by providing suggested improvements and new features you would like to see added.
•Project Information: This application is powered by, and was developed in collaboration with MobilePD, Inc.
The Columbus Division of Police will be adding features in the future so please select automatic updating when you download the application and stay tuned.

the app is ok. It centralized their social media, department numbers, submitting a tip and other items. For the social media aspect if I have those programs like Youtube I already had access to videos and same goes for Twitter. Graphics for the app looked a little dated. Overall a decent program with quick access to information.
Horrible app. Can't believe they held a conference and had a live feed on TV and Facebook. Don't waste your time downloading.
Love these guys, through the years I've known alot of officers.
Great. Wish it were in my assigned area and not in entire city
I like to learn about what is happening in my neighborhood. I Love all the hard work CPD does for the city of Columbus Ohio.

Ok so hi CPD. I am an app developer in Columbus - and I used your app. It isnt the worst app ever, but certainly could use some visual improvement. The UI of the recruitment section is super basic and just redirects to the webpage. The main menu looks decent, but also isnt quite perfect by modern app standards. I wont say I could have done it better myself... but like... theres definitely room for improvement but im happy to see you guys getting ahead of the curve of most departments.
