When this app works it's very useful. unfortunately it does not start up when you connect the Bluetooth microphone and hearing aids. today I waited over a half an hour for the app to recognize the fact that the microphone and hearing aids were on. I tried unplugging and replugging the Bluetooth device. Finally I just left it off and halfway through a telephone conversation at begin to work. Very unreliable.

This app is totally useless! So far not impressed. Same complaint as many others. App does not keep settings while changing screens on your phone. My phones Bluetooth stays connected but app does not keep settings. Bringing these back ASAP! It's a shame because I like the hearing aids but your software is useless. Apparently they blame the phones instead of their own inability to be compatible. Why stay in business then? Fix the app or go away!

I've used this app for over a year, when it connects and works it's great. However that's when it connects. There is no rhyme or reason to when or why it connects / disconnects. Every morning the equipment connects fine via bluetooth, however when I launch the comdex app, things disconnect and if I'm lucky incan get it to reconnect. Most days it doesn't like today.... I reboot my phone reboot all devices and still won't connect. But it might tomorrow. It's such an asset when it works

I have the same trouble as all other complaints here. I keep getting a double beeping noise and muting of my hearing aids that shouldn't be happening. My old phone was blamed and now I have a new Samsung and same problems persist. I've contacted my audiologist who contacted Widex, got 3 exchanges on my ComDex necklace and STILL no resolution. I just don't use it and am here to delete it. Maybe that's causing the double beeping. I've checked all my notification sounds and they're silent, so...?

Like everyone is saying, this app works great when it connects and being a bilateral hearing aid user, this is my life line. I depend on it. Now I have a new phone, it refuses to connect. I have had this for 5 years and the last two years it started acting up. Please fix or come out with a better codex device.

The app doesn't even know when the device is connected. It takes forever to get to the working part of the app in order to set the desired incoming sound direction, etc. Hasn't been updated since 2017. Pretty poor to support a device costing several thousand dollars. Hey Comdex! Hire a 13 year old kid to clean up your app!

I have had problems with my COM-DEX for the past 2 years. The answer from Widex is always the same- it is your phone!! No it isn't . All Widex is doing with this response is to ensure that I will never but Widex again. Fortunately my hearing provider is very good they are just 1 1/2 hours away and very hard to get to in the winter. My suggestion stay away from Widex products. You can't even access the customer service directly. You pay $6,000 and you can't access the company. Just a tip off.

My problem is the separate volume control in left or right ear. My left ear volume is different to the right ear. This can be done only by audiologist, why! Another problem is the program is jumping from one to another, I know that suppose to be, but I like quite program in cafe shop, no to change and cut sounds to make me hard understand people wit me.

This app works as advertised in combination with the COM-DEX accessory. However, having to spend another $300 after spending $6,000+ on a pair of "state of the art" hearing aids that randomly support streaming to some android phones while others that have the same chipset are unsupported is a bad customer support model. In addition, the main selling point of Widex hearing aids is that they are so small as not to be noticed. Well people notice them now because I am wearing this life alert-looking pendant around my neck. DON'T BUY WIDEX, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!

I have to use this app to use my COMDEX device. The app is minimal and easy to use. But, there are glitches. Connection issues and worst still, developers seem to have abandoned the app as the last update was some 2-3 years ago, despite the app needing much improvement

Used to be great when I first got the app in 2017. Streamed everything from my Android phone through my hearing aids. Now I can only get phone calls and YouTube Music to stream. Everything else not only doesn't stream, but it's totally silent. Sad.

You can't close the app if you use it once it keeps running in background draining your mobile battery. The only way you could shut is restart your phone.

Problems with streaming when using Samsung Galaxy series with Android 12 can be solved this way: Got to settings, developer options and move to the blue tooth section. Switch "turn off A2DP hardware offload" on.

Truly awful app, ditto all the other negative reviews. Constantly crashing and dropping out of audio, basically makes the ComDex useless, really disappointed in the support fir Android on this and the Widex app.

Just awful. When I try to stream music the aids keep shouting "Universal" in my ears and there's no music being streamed despite it playing on my phone + the settings say comdex is paired. Avoid.

Erratic, intermittent, poor support, notifications rarely work, all problems blamed on phone. Bad design and worse support. A wasted effort. Stuck with it and not satisfied.

Settings get overridden by any notification. Blaming the phone doesn't cut it. The hearing aid should know to hold a setting unless stated to do otherwise.

Takes a long time to connect. When I tap on my com dex which is listed, I get that circle which spins and spins and sometimes I need to restart the app for it to connect to my device.

This app is for those who wear Wedex brand hearing aids. It processes sound directly via Bluetooth devices. I use mine daily with my smartphone. Actually, I've worn one out and am using my second one. One lasts for several months of such daily wear.
