I started using this recently on my Asus TF300 tablet (running ICS), and it works beautifully! Importing data with CSV files is a snap, although direct communication with the DDI compendium would be much nicer. Still, all the main pieces are there and combat situations go much more quickly and smoothly with this app!
Great application, although I have a few suggestions: I miss is the option to add a note which to know which monster is which miniature. I wish I could save a complete combat progress, because it happens that my group cannot finish a really long combat and we have to continue on another occasion. When a player goes to negative HP, according to the rules any healing the player receives gets it's HP into positive values, not counting up from the negative HP.
This is an incredibly valuable tool to have. It does exactly as advertised, and does it well. With a little pregame setup it makes combat go quicker and smoother. You will never miss a saving throw, ongoing damage, or fail to apply a status effect, as long as you actually look at it. The only problem I have found so far is that of multiple saving throws: it asks if the last one applied was saved against multiple times and will only erase that one, causing you to have to go back and do the process for all of them. This app gets 5-stars because it goes beyond what it claims, fix that bug and I will nominate it for an Emmy!
I use this in every session I DM. Was clunky at first while I learned all the functions, but now it's very smooth and a great help. One thing I'd like to suggest: PLEASE add the ability to save multiple sessions at once. I DM two different groups, and everytime we end a session in mid-encounter, I have to write down all the details before then re-entering the stuff from the other group. "Save Session" tool would make me give this app 5 stars.
This app is an incredible help as a beginner DM, but I'm worried I'm going to either lose all my information or have to enter all of it in all over again when I upgrade my phone in a few months. Is there any way to save all of your information and load it up from another device? I saw your website but couldn't find anywhere to email you. This would make an amazing feature to add.
Needs negative value entry, add new fields, and drag and drop display. Other than that nice program and the 'Ready an action' and delay work excellently. Status is a bonus. I'm enjoying using this. It has some nice customization features, like adding a picture for your PCs. It is good enough that I'm willing to pay even more for increased functionality. The basic are pretty solid once u learn how to use it. I'd like to see preloaded conditions to choose from a drop down box. But worth the price if you game frequently. I have sent a list of feature requests but don't have space here to list them. Customer service was excellent too as I was contacted within a few hours with my requests.
As an old school dm, entering the digital age was slow and painful. Now I am slowly discovering apps that have made me wonder why I was so resistant to the change and this app is on the top of my dm toolkit. My players love the quick entry and speed with which combat now takes place through the use of this app. No longer are spell durations neglected or status effects subject to reconomancy. Everythi g gets logged quickly, set it and forget it stlye. Useful in so many editions and systems. Love it!
But still needs work. Speed is a must and also a space to list my monsters' moves and abilities will be the last thing I need before I can just leave the laptop and the books at home.
Every time I open to use it doesn't work, it keeps telling me to be logged in and online. I either want a fix or my money back please.
Good Idea poorly executed. If you like to use your device for dm management this tool is helpful but time consuming. Many of the proposed features don't fully work like the monster clone tool. So if you want to enter a lot of info by hand this app is good. But it works about as well as using any text editor app like Libra Office Word, Open Office Word or Microsoft Word. So basically this helps keep initiative order just slightly better than a pen and paper. Almost a total waste of programing, and not worth one penny.
This app does everything I need it to for simple combat management. If it had spaces for touch and flat-footed AC, and maybe CMB and CMD for Pathfinder, I would consider this absolutely perfect.
I'm using this app for d&d 4e and it helps a great deal. It would be better if there was some form of cloud storage for switching between devices. Also if there were a space for enemy abilities, I would consider this to be a perfect app.
I purchased it, have active internet, and I'm logged in, yet it won't register the license. This really annoyed me
Used to be much better... i dont know why the dev decided to remove the ability to edit templates, but it really makes me sad.
I love this app! It makes running a game so much easier with only minimal planning. The more planning the better it is. I only wish I could find it on the Kindle Fire. It's larger screen than a Razr would be 100x better. Please make it happen.
Simply put, the most essential tool in my arsenal. It helps combat to flow much more smoothly
Could use a "undo" or rewind feature. Preloaded status effects would be awesome. Or a way to create status effects out of combat. Ran smoothly overall. Oh an in app photo editor to crop and rotate photos would have came in handy as my pics weren't loading in the right orientation. Not bad for. 99 cents at all.
