You must own a Comfort Sync thermostat to use the Comfort Sync app. The Comfort Sync thermostat must also be connected to your home’s Wi-Fi router before the app can control the settings. Outdated app, it just crashes constantly when I open it. It doesn't even take me to my dashboard anymore. This all happened after the latest Android OS update. I had to uninstall and then reinstall the app to get it to work, but that only worked the one time. The app hasn't been updated since 2015, if that tells you anything... and Allied doesnt seem to care, judging from their lack of response to all reviews.
The app works very poorly. It crashes most of the time. When it does work, it takes a very long time for the app to load up. Additionally, the temperature control mechnism in the app is a very small interaction wheel element that is hard to use quickly with accuracy - the Next dial is much easier to use which is what I was expecting if you look at pictures of the "other" Comfort Sync Thermostat app on the Google play store. If the product owner for this is reading, please prioritize fixing: 1) app crashes 2) slow loading 3) changing temperature interaction element to something more usable. Beyond that, it'd be nice to have it open the one home automatically rather than making me make an extra click to open my only home (duh!).
Regretting my purchase. Had to give up my Ecobee 4 for this, as I purchased a "communicating" system. Interface is terribly outdated, and it crashes more times than it will actually open. When it does open, changes that you make take 45 seconds to a full minute to register back to the equipment.... if they actually do.
It does not work as advertised. Have to always go to website. Crashes often. Errors saying that device has no connection to internet when everything else is working. Really bad coding.
App no longer works and does not connect to anything. Keeps crashing. I was told this came with my Armstrong Air system, looking at the previous comments, seems like I was duped into buying a really expensive thermostat that has no real smart connectivity. Sad that Comfort Sync can still have their "Smart Thermostat" sell with this "perk" and no one is fixing the issue
I got this $500 thermostat with a new furnace install. Six months later my furnace exhaust froze and the new furnace would not run resulting in frozen waterlines and $4500 in damages. No alert was sent to my phone. Customer service says it's not a critical alert. They said they were going to look into it and get back to me. Still waiting. Now the app keeps failing to open. Bought a $80 honeywell wifi thermostat for my other house and have had no issues with the app and is easier to use.
Aweful app for a 500.00 thermostat. You can not edit schedule and it rarely connects the 1st time. Since this is really a Lennox product you would think it would have more features. I wish Honeywell made a thermostat that worked with a communicating heating system as their app works so much better.
It constantly crashes.
Installed on my phone because my dad was getting a "No Internet Connection" error on his starting about 2 weeks back. Same on my phone here. Given other complaints, I'd say this app is officially broken on both Android (me) and Apple (dad) devices.
Not a helpful app. When trying to change house temp it stops. Have to use the use Comfort Sync and log in everytime. Horrible app. Want to change apps.
The app is outdated....and now with the latest android update it just crashes. You must login web based to use it Please update your app to provide the same functionality as the thermostat. Make it look similar. Thermostat or app should have the same look and feel
One word to describe this app..terrible!!! At least once a month I have to remove the app and load it back in because it won't work. The company refuses to update for newer androids. Mine is a galaxy 9.
Zero stars would be more accurate score. Crashes daily. Won't open. Only thing reliable about it is its unreliability.
I've installed and uninstalled this app in attempt to get it to work, but it crashes on multiple devices & is useless unless the developer fixes it.
It is very unreliable. You never know if it will come up when you try to open it. Not that many options on it compared to our last one. Not a fan.
Frequent app shutdown with good cell and Wi-Fi connections. Very frustrating and disappointing!

After recent security updates this app no longer works at all. It's been 5 years since the app was updated. Spend some money and fix it.

Just installed with the new furnace. Easy to set up and it works perfectly with my Galaxy S9+.
