Comic Maker for Minecraft

Like... I really want to like this app. I spent a lot on this set for my child's 7th birthday (not to mention how excited he was), but it's been a disappointment. The images stretch when saving comics and he has to redo everything, only to show me once. I don't see an export option for the images when he does make them. Scanning codes is blurry even though I have the update. My phone is a Pixel, so dated tech isn't the problem either. I'll change this from 2 stars when things get resolved, but I'm definitely jaded at this point. I'll have him try it on iOS this weekend. Maybe that version is slightly more supported.

I thought this would be a fun game, and overall it is, but it constantly freezes and exits out of the app, and when I open the app again, my comic disappeared! This has happened several times, and I am getting upset over having to start over. Pretty decent, please fix freezing issue.

We are a creative family and so were really excited to discover the toys that go along with this app. We were excited to use the app with 3 new sets...and make some video reviews of the products/app, but your app is non-functional. We have a long weekend to play new toys and prepare to share on our small channel, but we will have to focus on other toys instead...and we will be seeking to exchange the sets that go with your app unless you fix it promptly.

Comics open sometimes when going to edit or view. In a comic there can only be 4 pages. Stickers do not shrink to as small as other ones. I tried to add the ellipse and another sticker next to each other, but the ellipse was way too big. These bugs really limit the possibilities If possible I would like to see 3D modeling where you can use your unlocked characters (like what we see in the comic starters). There can be preset scenes like a minecraft cave or forest. We can create and import scenes

The app does not work on my Pixel 4 XL. Buttons have no words on them so you have no idea what you're pressing. If you click on a part of the screen and it redirects you there, there's no back button to get you back to the default screen. I just tried this app on an older Android phone and it worked just fine. Buttons have words and back button functions. My common sense tells me that the app is not working with the newest Android OS. Hope they update it to work across the board.

This app is incredibly buggy. Once you've saved a video or comic the images get stretched out and don't fit the panel frames anymore. I'm absolutely stunned that this is acceptable from a licensed product. Options out of the box are extrmey limited and you can unlock sound effects and more by purchasing additional figure packs and spending more $$$. Very disappointed.

We downloaded this today so there's no possibility of having an old version. The buttons do not have words on them and the back button doesn't work at all, so if you go into a different screen from the menu, you can never go back. We did find a way to take pictures, but the app wouldn't pull up my phone's camera even though it had permissions. This app is extremely buggy.

An absolute let down! My kids received one of the playsets for their birthday and was excited to try this out. Downloaded on an older Android device. No text in app and nothing seems to work at all. Installed it on my Pixel 3 XL; same deal. I'm extremely disappointed in Mattel, Mojang, and Microsoft. There's no excuse for such big failures from such big names.

Sparks imagination. This is such a great idea. My 5yr old son loves it. Of course we have to work together. The only thing is that I wish for additional sound effects without having to purchase every single figurine. A: maybe that could be an option even if it's only temporary or set as a goal for app use B: that could encourage unowned products to be purchased. Having the same sound effects allll the time can become boring, but we haven't experienced that thus far. I love Minecraft and this app

Awful. My son got several different characters and sets to do this for Christmas. He spent so long setting everything up and making a great comic only to have it distort and change after saving. Every single picture became stretched and blurry and almost all the text boxs saod translation error. He was severely dissappointed and so am I. Also frustrating that this app is not available on fire tablets so he has to use my phone to use this app.

I love this game or whatever it is it makes you feel like your a real book writer and the way you scan blocks to get rewards is awesome but there is a few problems that are bugging me. First there is a little bug where when I get to 4 pages when I'm making a book the game crashes it does that to some of my other friends too. Also when I scanned a block for the Jungle pack it gave me the wrong character the Stray and those are all the problems just 2 but this game is great so I give it a 4 star.

Ok, so I just got the zombie, and when I scan the base I get the wolf. The story starter that you get looks all white. The comic sticker you get looks squished and it says clank in light blue letters. The sounds you get are sound name 1, sound name 2, and sound name 3, like they're place holders. Please fix this bug in the next update. The game is really good and I recommend it to anyone who likes Minecraft.

Comics unable to open after saving them. Images that look fine when added to the comic become distorted after saving. Viewing as a movie causes text bubbles to have a "translation error." I have tried it on multiple phones with the same errors. This is a poor excuse for an app that is promised to support very expensive action figures.

In agreement with so many others. I horrible and disappointing app. Not only is it confusing to figure out, but like so many others have stated, the stretching of the pictures after you render the comic makes the app (and as such the toys!) completely worthless. All of the related toys are a waste of money as they're not too much fun on their own. I wish we hadn't spent money of the toys for this. DO NOT BUY THE TOYS!

Good concept but buggy. Text boxes end up saying "missing translation" when you finish the comic, pictures get stretched, and I can't figure out how to actually add the sound effects. If it was less buggy it would be fun.

I wish I could give this app ZERO stars. I spent a lot of time with my son working on a comic. Except it doesn't properly save the videos (says rendering incomplete) and there are error messages on all the text boxes. None of the sounds we added worked. And when we went to save it, it stretched all the pictures. It's a TERRIBLE app. Don't waste your money. It's a cheap gimmick to get you to buy the toys for a useless app.

I was very excited to get the app after seeing that you could at the end of the comics. we had previously purchased multiple sets of toys for hour eldest daughter. I can't even get the camera to focus in on the blocks to scan them.... not to impressed. please update the app with all of the new toys and bixby issue with the camera.

I keep trying to render it into a movie, but it keeps closing the app. It keeps closing and deleting my progress. It also keeps saying "draft" on all my comics. It took three days to download, too. I give it a two star. If you like apps that crash, turn black delete progress, and make you buy more products then by all means download this app.

Very disappointing. Blocks will not focus to scan. Mattel customer support is a joke, but email sent for assistance. Expect more from Mattel and Microsoft. Save yourself the time and frustration and don't bother downloading. Uninstalled after 10 minutes of trying to adjust camera settings, which didn't help, will not scan with month old Pixel 3.

It keeps crashing! I only made page 2 and it crashes :( Just make your own comics with picture editing apps. The figures are great and the layout of the app is nice, but keeps crashing. Please update!!!

My daughter got this for her birthday. She was excited to play it but the app is unusable in it's current state. The text in the app is not showing. All text is missing. You cannot navigate anywhere. Come on Mattel, patch this thing. Android 10 on pixel 3a.

It's useable, but for some reason mine is dark when the room is lit up quite well. My phone's camera app, however, has light perfectly fine. And no, it's not a filter. I am using the old movie maker thing that you made that I can't find the app for

Great app! The camera issue was fixed. But you can't read the comics properly anymore. I'll see if I've been doing anything wrong. I might have done something wrong. Anyway, I love making the comics with this app, it is really fun. If you love comics and you love Minecraft, get this app. Also, if you have any Minecraft action figures, you can scan the blocks to unlock cool stuff related to that character! You don't have to have action figures. You can use Lego.

Hello I love the figurines but when I installed the app the buttons had no words on them and when I tapped on the screen it always took me to the app settings I tried so hard to fix it trying possibility after another eventually I gave up so I went to youtobe and seen other people playing It perfectly fine and apon looking on other sorces I'd say this is a great app. Keep up the good work!😸

Not great. It wants you to buy all of these little action figures, before you can get started. I'm sure other things can work just fine, but still. I recommend hopping over to stop motion studio. THAT, I know will work just fine.

Nice game, but there was a problem with this game. I bought soooooooo many figure and unlocked sooooo many things. But when I would save my comic. It would be squished majorly. I could not enjoy it. I would really play this game more if you fix it please.😫😫😫

The game doesn't work. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling with same results. Buttons have no words on them, camera for scanning is completely black. My son was really looking forward to trying this app.

At first we couldn't scan the blocks, but we found this technique: Take a picture of the blocks with another phone, and then scan the picture with the other phone. The scanner does need to get fixed though.

Nice idea but all my photos came out with squished aspect ratios and didn't matter if i took horizontally or vertically. Actually horizontal just made the images sideways and still wrong aspect. perhaps the devs didn't take into account different screen widths when they made it.

Absolute garbage. Spent a ridiculous amount of money on these toys and then had to end up buying an alternate comic making app for my daughter as this one is broken and the Devs seem to have no interest in updating it. Photos don't retain aspect ratio and get completed distorted upon saving. Way to disappoint Mattel.
