ComicRack Free

I bought this app probably 10 years ago now and still use it everyday. It's been with me through countless phones, tablets, and pcs. It's never failed me. It displays and organizes per your folders perfectly. You can set a certain orientation or 2 page view. If you flip to landscape it zooms in and provides a panel by panel zoom shift I guess you'd call it. Anyways, ignore the bad reviews. Maybe the dev has abandoned it but it works so what really needs to be done in terms of support?

Wants me to use program generated folder. I already have my comics ready in a folder to access for reading but I don't get to use it with this program. It will not navigate to the pre-existing folder. What a hassle. This has been my preferred program on PC and packed full of good features but I would like to be able to start using a program without to much trouble.

I dropped it to one star only because it's been 4 years since an update. This was one the go to comic reading app combined with the PC version you had the ultimate combination. Now this just seems like it is abandonware. It's too bad, but now I use perfect viewer and it is an excellent replacement for this app.

How the mighty have fallen. I can no longer recommend this app. It's been 5 years since the last update. There are better options in the play store. I find Perfect Viewer preferable. ComicScreen is also good. This app has seemingly been abandoned but I would love to see the dev come in and revamp this thing along with the PC version.

Best comic book app on android. Get the paid app if you can spare the cash since this free version places a banner over the bottom portion of the comic you're reading which, after you close, will that will pop up again after three pages. You won't notice it if there are no speech bubbles at the bottom of the page that you want to read, but if there is it's really annoying.

This is one of the worst comic reading apps I have ever encountered. Doesn't allow you to configure or change display options and the annoying "I'm going to make your life a living nightmare by displaying two pages on every screen and not allow you to change it" is really bad app coding. Nightmare app that's a POS.

Nice user interface and handling. Sadly for ages this tool is unable to display images in a zip archive in the correct order for SOME archives. So for me it became useless. There are several other readers which don't have this kind of problem.

If this supported solid CRB it would be the best app for comic book reading, but for what it does support n the fact it doesnt have pop up adds even on the free app, this is definitely my go to app for comic book reading, the comics look crystal clear n the interface is intuitive, it organises comics in the correct order n remembers where u got to in the comics too, can't recommend enough

Great app. I love the library management desktop app and the mobile reader app combination. But, there has been no development on it for a while now. The Android app has not been updated since 2014 and the desktop app sinds 2016 I think. If development is picked up soon I'm sticking to this one. But now I'm already looking for an alternative. Too bad, because this is still the best comic reader for android there is.

Instead of making guides to figure out how to use your app, why dont you make it more user-friendly? It's unnecessarily complicated to just add comics to the library and to organize them how we would like. That would probably get people to pay the high price you're asking for the full version.

Im a casual comic addict & I have been using this app for many months on & off - there are some things I do NOT like about this app. (1) The User Interface (U.I) needs to be more user friendly - It's hard trying to find my .Cbr files because the navigation is not friendly & easy. (2) The app design needs a new fresh coat of paint. (3) My comics aren't in NUMBER order I dont know why. (4) Depletes battery too quick. The PRO app is WAY too expensive & not worth the value. Once you fix , then 5 🌟

Great app, simple to use, but with lots of configurable options. No real ads, just a single banner at the bottom of the screen asking you to buy the full version if you like it, and the banner isn't even there most of the time.

Useless. While it does seem like it has a ton of options it is unable to add any comics from your SD card into the library. This makes it completely useless to me since I use an older tablet with virtually no internal storage and a huge SD card for my library. Pass.

App runs fine the first time you open it after being installed, but the next day you try to use it, it crashes before it even opens. Love it on PC, a major miss on Android.

Used for a long time but no longer works in Oreo. Doesn't register cbr files so no association. Also, no longer allows external sd card folder to be read. It's a pity, as still my favourite pc desktop app, but appears to be no longer supported in Android.

Didn't work. Was directed to an url for instructions, but was blocked from reading that webpage. Unable to fix the settings myself. Tried manually importing a CBz file to the correct folder, but, app didn't see it. Uninstalled.

Was planning on buying it. Until I started getting popups to buy every few pages. The fist few hours with it, the ads were non invasive. Good reader otherwise.

Great app, but vastly out of date, no improvements for new devices, sloppy and with slowdowns and a few crashes which prevents me for getting the paid version, 6 years without a single update.....

This is a pretty good comic book reader. I first got it on my computer to easily merge some CBZ files, a DRM free comic book format. The website said they have a mobile edition as well. It's pretty nice, but I also have Moon Reader for reading my DRM free eBooks, and I have to say that I'd recommend just using Moon Reader, which is equally great for eBooks and comic books. Get this if you're a huge fan of ComicRack already, or if you're just trying out some apps exclusively for comic books. ComicRack's a good app and works well.

I have this app on my old Android 4.0.4 tablet and it works great! (I also keep my comics in the secondary folder, on the SD card.) FINALLY I'm getting to read comics that I loved but which got discontinued by the distributor in my country!

Some of the comics cant be opened in this app but can on pc version. Also the setting up of the folder to read from sd card is not clear unless you notice the FAQ note on the store page.

In my phone(MI A3), The app UI doesn't cover the entire screen bottom so can't read comics properly (the comic fits the width in landscape mode but a black band at bottom is laid over it).... PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE... in other aspect it's best

Highly underrated app. You can read comics from see card by moving it into data/comicrack/files. So many features in free version and many more in premium version. Thanks dev for this amazing app.

Auto rotate for double pages is a life saver. The app works perfectly fine but that feature alone is worth 5 stars. Whoever thought of that and implemented it should get a raise

It worked perfectly until the recent android update. Now when I view my comics in landscape it cuts half the page off!

This is the best comic reader on the market. It's full of features and its easy to use it. (this mobile version is so much easier to use than its PC counterpart).

Really useful filer/reader for all your comic reading. This is a smart and efficient app thats beautifully designed. Well worth the download.

Decent comics reader, how ever fitting has issues which hides part of you page under Navigation bar (Home, Back and Recently penned apps bar at the bottom of your screen)
