Common Analog Synthesizer

Really good, I love it. the small amount of presets have good variety and all sound great, and the synth itself is quite powerful. I've never worked with analogue synths that much, this is one of the first I've really liked and it's on mobile!! It's just all around a good synth, but it's not that flexible. There are quite a lot of sounds you can't achieve with it, but it's still good. Only problem I have is I can't seem to record anything or export anything either? Is there a way to do that?

I wrote a very similar review on the other synthesizer app by this developer. Anyways, while I was using the app, I absolutely loved the range of features and the simplicity of the controls. I have rated 4 stars because the app crashes now that I have the "newer version of Android" making the app incompatible to work and run on my phone. This is the same for the Common FM Synthesizer. Truly though, it was a very good app

UPDATE: Unfortunately this app does not work on Android 10. The UI looks amazingly modern considering Metro UI and Android 4 was the hottest thing on the market when this was developed. Works really great and with a 50€ Roland MIDI USB controller you can play with a real keyboard. The latency is very great compared to what you usually get on Android.

It's a very good synth! It's got MIDI support, the latency is the lowest I've seen so far! If you're looking for a simple analog synth, this is it. However, if you're running lower than Android 6, do expect latency. The controls are also very clear.

Love it! Fun to play with on its own but especially liked that it detected my M-Audio Oxygen25 midi controller and I was able to play and tweak through the controller. Good sounds (use headphones or external speaker!). Downloaded this prior to purchasing oxxxide's ExSynth which is even better.

another amazing app. An easy to use interface which asks to be experimted with, combined with a really nice sound engine. App comes without advertisements or unnecessary permissions and its only 352kb. its simply amazing.

It's a cool app. I like that I can play my Amazon music simultaneously and play along. Problem I have is it doesn't recognize any of my midi keyboard controllers. This is a vital need, so for now, it's in the number to be purged from my phone.

I love this app, I install it in all my android devices since discovering it. and it works fine on my android 9 phone but it closes itself inmediatly after starting in my android 10 tablet so that a huge bummer since a bigger screen would make it so much to control.

Very well laid out, amazing UI, easy to use. Love the octave switch buttons but wish you could scroll the keyboard as well as zoom it in and out to change key sizes.

Perfect app, no ads, powerful, lots of freedom. More over that's the only app that connects midi keyboard to my moto z2 properly, somehow all the other apps I tried have issues.

pls add more keyboard so we can use more than 2 octave like 4 octave n maybe place the second/the other keyboard at above other n also pls add support for pressing more than 4 keys simultaneously bicoz it can only produce sound of 4 key pressed simultaneously but when i press more than that it won't works n when i change the octave by arrow keys it would be good if i can see what is the current octave am working on :) overall nice app

Very responsive key pad, way ahead of most of the other stylophone emulators. Good tone editing controls, and impressively small memory usage! Excellent product.

I'm a composer, but I don't have my PC around everytime I want to try a new chord sequence or idea with a synth. This app is a great alternative.

was very good but the newest samsung update adds crackling audio problems ruining the app. Almost all synth and vst apps are now affected by this. Tradgic

This synth is amazing, please change the button to save custom sounds, it does not work anymore on modern devices.

I'd love to see an option for mono/poly. It's capable of some great bass patches but overlaying notes hinder bass capabilities.

It was the best synthesizer app on Android. But now, in 2020 it doesn't work in Android 10 (Q). App was updated in 2014. I don't think that author will update his app for Android 10, but I hope... Please, hear us (me)

Well I used to love messing with this synth while I was at work and away from my computer but since I upgraded phones I haven't been able to use it. Depressed.

Excellent app!.. I am using an old phone so haven't encountered problems that upgraded phone punters are describing You'll have to downscale if you want to play😀

this is a very well made interface. I dont know what I'm doing and I was able to get a hang on what did what in maybe ten minutes. A white lines on black background option would be nice

This app is amazing! I have used it for years. I took it for granted and didn't even right a review. Now the app won't work in Android 10. Anyway, this app is awesome. If you have Android 9, at least, you will get your money's worth.

It's great for free! Sounds can be altered & are not low quality samples. No save feature though.

Very addictive, I'm only here to get more ideas for my Moog I will be building. Not into touch screen music but it was fun while it lasted..

not a complete waste of time but on a smartphone, some of the controls were too small to adjust accurately.

Downloaded in half a second. No latency, excellent interface. Can see my tablet becoming a synth for my stage setup now.

Just crashes immediately after opening on a Note 10 +. I wish this gets fixed since this looks very promising.

Love this app, best synth out there. But currently cannot launch on android 10, Samsung Tab A 10.1 and Galaxy A71 phone.

Sadly, it does not work with android 10, so I can no longer use this app. Shame, as it was a great app. If they can update this I will change my review.
