Companion Safety App
All you have to do is enter your destination and select some contacts to be your Companion. They don't even need the app installed. These Companions see a live map of your progress and get updates as you make it from Point A to Point B. If you start running, don't make it to your destination on time, have your headphones yanked out or your phone falls to the ground, we will check in on you to make sure everything is okay. If you don't respond in 15 seconds, we will automatically alert your Companions.
You can also report areas on your campus that make you uneasy. Simply tap the "I Feel Nervous" button and we'll pass this information on to your campus police department. Don't worry, everything is anonymous. They won't respond with sirens or flashing lights, but they will work to make this area safer in the future.
If there's an emergency, you can call 9-1-1 from our app with just two taps. We will connect you to the closest dispatcher and provide them with your location.

app won't accept my phone number. now says it'll send a code for my number, nothing! not worth the trouble. looking for something else.
App seems abandoned.
I like the app but I wish there was an offline option too because a person should still feel safe even if they don't have wifi. I am off work for mental health reasons and can't afford to pay my bills so my phone can now only be used with wifi but when i walk or take the bus at night i don't have wifi and don't feel safe.
I have been using this app on Galaxy S7. It used to work very well before the updates but now it is practically useless. have set it to refresh every two seconds on both devices but it only refreshes every 5 or 6 minutes. This is absolutely useless as a security for the person who has asked for you to follow them on their journey. Dont know what you did to it with the update but i do know that you screwed up what was once a fantastic app.
Hi. My app just got updated, and when someone assigns me as their companion, I can no longer see the other party on my app. Even when I wanted to key in my own end destination, it does not work at all. But the notifications work outside of the app. Nothing in the app is working before the update. Please check on this issue, thanks
It won't even let me in! Keeps saying my phone number is invalid, no matter what I do. And honestly I'd rate higher if I could find any customer support information to help me fix this, but if that info is out there it isn't obvious. Let me use the damn app and I'll rate it decently, thanks.
It has a lot of bugs and doesn't work well at all for Android. I look forward to it getting fixed soon.
I used to love this app. Now when I try to use it. It keeps prompting me to enter my phone number... which I do, only to be told my number is invalid every time! Leaving me with no access to the app at all. This needs to be fixed
Used to work great but since last update it won't even accept my phone number so is absolutely useless. Will delete and find something else if this isn't fixed soon
This app used to be great, but it was just updated and now it thinks I'm in a different city almost 40 miles away. I deleted the app and reinstalled, but it's still doing the same thing. This thing is useless now.
Really bummed because it keeps telling me that I am entering an invalid number and my number isn't invalid at all lmao. I really loved using this app when it was working correctly. :(

Hey guys... We all know they are working on it!!! It will soon be compatible in other country's!!! For now stop giveing up!!! The more dislikes it gets the less chance of it working where you live... Boys!!! This app is speashal for girls!!!! Not you!!!! Its kinda embarrassing you go to your phone for help instead of fight for yourself. Some people say its the worst app ever... How do they know they haven't even put in the right number. If y'all will keep the dislikes down that will be appreciated. One guy said app won't send verifacatio then he says it won't start... Whaaa??? If it doesn't start it shouldn't let you try to send verafacation and if verafacation was needed how would you know... This app is the best for woman safety. And it works fine in USA... I'm sure they have another app that works the same for other country's....plz STAHP WITH THE DISLIKES... DONT RATE IT IF YOU CANT GET ON

I've used it in the past on iPhone and it was great but it wouldn't let me verify my number on Android Galaxy S8. I tried reinstalling too

Awesome app great details awesome for when you feel unsafe about a person kidnapping you or in a strange house you have never been before and seen before, so your friends can see if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe
It's a great idea, but now seems abandoned; the last update was ~4 YEARS ago! It was praised by a few places, when first launched, but apparently not widely enough, cos friends I'd "tag" (for lack better term) as my Companion really didn't know what the app was all about. The initial developers were local to me, at time of launch, so the scarce knowledge about it, just in Mich., really surprised me. Great idea, but they needed a combo of better PR & stronger dedication to development.
