I've had this app for over a year now. Most of the reviewers obviously don't know anything about how the world works. Even though this compass is electric it still uses the earth's upt was in my stocktrailer and tried the compass app. It was off on all of it's directions. My stocktrailer is steel, that interrupted earths magnetic field . Once I went out of the trailer the problem was solve It's not just the trailer that interferes anything that has a magnetic field can interfere with the compass

If the compass direction is not correct, try rotating your phone three difference directions "while using the Compass app". First, holding the phone upright, twisting the phone around one full rotation, spinning it like a top. Now rotate phone over, pushing top of the phone away from you, rolling the bottom up completing one full rotation. Last, twist the phone around, rotating the top of the phone to the right making a complete clockwise rotation. This completes the orientation for the compass.

Very inaacurate! I was standing on the ground facing the rising Sun before jogging and the needle shows West, after some time it shows North,later SE, SW. At home, it showed all wrong directions. I know the directions of my home. According to this App, sun rises in the West and sets in the East! LoL! I also know the directions in my office. This App shows it all wrong and also changes direction as per its own will. Crazy! Finally, I bought a magnetic compass. I am right, the App is wrong.

Its accurate, but only if you recalibrate each time you use it. This may be because I'm a very casual user, not someone who needs a compass on a frequent basis. In any case, recalibration is easy once you learn how, so it's better than others I've tried.

Complete waste of time if your phone does not have a magnetic sensor which the installers forget to mention. My Samsung J6 doesn't wasnt until I had installed a free app that didnt work, then bought one which also didnt work that I found out.

compass does not work in Japan. I was in Japan trying learn my directions and found out compass are wrong. Not just this one but I tried down loading several. All was wrong. when I was traveling South the compasses said I was traveling west. I found out from a Japanesse person that spoke English. Also found out from an American person how had an Iphone and his internal compass was correct. My Note 9 does not come with an internal compass.

does not point in the. correct direction if it points at all. l have this program on both ny phone and my tablet and they point in different directions. l compared true North with an actual compass and an Internet compass and your compasses were wrong in both cases simply put your program in NO good and NOT reliable

It just sat on the page, never changing, while I walked around the room. One color pointed north, the other pointed south. There were no instructions to see if I could fix it. Crummy app.

Very accurate. Easy to use and with me wherever I go with my phone. Need to learn more about it. For instance, I don't know if I can set the declination for the area I'm in.

Magnetically a riot! Try calibrating by 1st removing accessory cases esp magnetic mounts then moving phone in large figure 8 pattern and yes the magnetic poles have shifted slightly AGAIN adjust for Hwy north accordingly occasionally drive your vehicle in large open area in a circle several times to calibrate onboard compasses

When I downloaded a compass app on to my Samsung phone I expected to get an app that would show me the direction I was walking. In this case I got a picture of a compass showing due north no matter what direction I go. I took it for a walk around my neighborhood and restarted my phone. As I suspected it's just a pic of a compass pointing due north.

I like this android app for basic use. It's design is very good and easy to use. I have also compared it from other apps but it is more durable for finding directions. Its really nice and durable for users.

I cant understand the negative rates for this app. It works perfectly for me and i commend its developers. It would be nice to have one like it which would work on smartwatches without magnetometer.

🛑 STOP This app is very accurate,and works on my v40 thinq perfect,so I'm guessing these review's are bogus,and self serving,or truly that many people fall on the remedial side of basic cell phone operation! Recalibrate,and edit your review! That's not cool!

I would have given it the full stars except for the advertising. I would much rather pay for an app then keep seeing advertising I'm not interested in.

Maybe set for Northern Hemisphere because it is opposite. Shows E into the setting sun! I could not find a setting to reorient it.

Was able to download this when I got myself in a pinch in a woodland where there was cell service and Google Maps was leading to confusion because of its slow reaction time. Took an hour off my wandering time. Huge relief.

I installed the app and right off the bat would not accurately show North East or south. I would point it a direction and it would say close to South turn the line it up with East and East was not there anymore it was somewhere else. I will uninstall and use something else.

Very accurate! I like using this compass when I am hiking up in the mountains as it very reliable. Very highly recommend.

Inaccurate direction. I turn my phone and the north needle doesnt point at its direction probably. The inaccuracy is about 30°. This app needs more improvement.

this app worked fine for a little while without adds. now adds are always on screen, and compass doesn't spin at all ever.

Very bad this app should come with a warning that it is hazard to anyone depending on it to show a correct direction off by anywhere of 15 to 40 degrees if used in woods it could make you do lost that you will never leave

I installed and opened, it pointed the directions straight away even without having to calibrate. Great app.

Would give zero stars if I could. Don't like the ads. I'd like to remove all ads but there doesn't seem to be any way to do that. Uninstalled, Found a better App.

Pretty good, just a straight forward compass, i would like the option to get rid of the ads though.
