i used to LOVE this app. but now it has just been broken for a month. Tried to reach out by email on the problem without getting any answer. Tried re-installing the app and clearing the cache/data. no success. Basically yhe same articles ahow up in the feed since end of November (when the controversial AI generated feed was introduced). if anyone knows an app that does pretty much what compass used to do before, i'd pay for it!
I'm sorry to give this low rating as I absolutely loved the app. But the new beta version is just horrible. It only provides a list of articles without summaries, which is pretty useless and definitely not what is promised in the description. The "collections" feature is broken, because the list of related articles is empty for every topic I've tried. I don't see myself paying for this app anymore. Really hope you roll back to the previous version
Used to be good. It was supposedly all about an impartial AI that delivered main news on simple format and story. Even if free version was limited to some news. New version is just a collection of news without synthesis, just redirecting to source... Which defeats the whole purpose of the app, the reason of why people suscribed in the first place.
Please, please, please roll back the previous version. Headlines and interesting, new article summaries were priceless features that greatly improved my general awareness and curiosity. I would pay double for those features to be introduced again, but right now, I have to unsubscribe. Previous version!
Am I missing something? The app is simply not what it is described to be. I read on the website that it provides bite sized summaries of headlines and you get 24 a day. Instead everything links to an online article. It makes me think that they've been drastically affected by that recent meme law or something hence the BETA. I came as an ex Yahoo News Digest user and the promise of a finite news source was alluring so this is disappointing. Not to even mention a lack of home screen integration
It won't let me log back in with my Google account despite using the app and having a subscription for almost a month. Now whenever I try to access the news stories it tells me to manage subscriptions, it won't let me cancel or restart.
Absolutely ruined. It was supposed to give impartial, up to the minute summaries of the biggest news stories. Now it's just a generic aggregator like every other news app that comes standard on your phone.
nice idea, but the content selection is terrible (especially for morning edition) - popular/stupid topics, very little relevant/important news coverage. Also recently, i get very few articles in "tody's headlines". Today (sunday) - exactly 0. And it's 3 pm... so, nothing worth reporting happened so far ?
Used to be an amazing news app, but has gotten progressively worse. The final nail in the coffin was the most recent update removing quick summaries that were written by humans. No point using this app over something like Google News.
I have to agree with others, the new version sucks. It used to be really good and to the point, now its a mess. I just bought the subscription few weeks ago but with this version you won't see me paying anymore.
I used to love the idea and functionality of the app, but since the autogen beta function was introduced, the app i loved has become useless for me therefore I shall cancel my subscription.
Updated version is awful. No summaries. Just a list of articles. Bring back the older version!
App is still problematic. Lot of bugs especially because you load all articles through the browser. Make a platform like Flipboard maybe?
What happend to the 5 most important news stories in the wprdl??? They were the reason I used the app. You created alot of value!! Please bring this feature back!
Older version is better than new, new version opend by link, it is difficult and not pertty much good, pls turn back to older version

Update - New version is useless,the AI stuff won't fool anyone. Using it right out of beta.App has improved a lot and became my goto app for news snippets in digestable format.However the new pair subscription is not what I really expected until a long while.Needs some sort of free version with ads maybe.
Like so many others the App has been abandoned by the developers and now it is not even possible to log in! Absolutely disgraceful the amount of apps that are abandoned in this fashion especially when users spend time and money to support the developers! 😠😠
App is pretty good when it works, but it keeps logging me out and then can't login. Login system has a lot of issues
Used to be just fantastic, now 1) lacks the features that provided special value, such as summaries and most important story selections; 2) the app is broken, e.g. no new stories show up after early December, and the saved articles contains anything from random articles to nothing, definitely not what I've saved. Refunds were promised to paying customers with the AI/feature change, but I haven't received a refund either. Original service I would have paid several times the price for if asked.
