After trying several other apps I found this app that remembers the dial position after switching/exiting the app. It even remembers the dial position even after force closing the app using phone setings which is what I was looking for. Others forget the position. The only reason I rated it 4 stars is because I would like a single screen that displays the analog as well as digital info on one screen. A compromise would be to have a single click button to switch between analog and digital displays. Samsung S7 Edge.
It is impossible to calibrate. I have been trying to accomplish this for the last 3 days. I will probably be looking for another compass for my android.
This app do not work in Samsung J7 prime mode

Very realistic looking & acting. I always pack a compass when out, & about, well with your app, the compass will stay home. Giving one, more pocket space.🐝🐝🐝
