Really enjoying the app. It's easy to navigate, the layout of each listing is clean and comprehensive, and the push notifications are very helpful. I'm docking a star because you should be able to filter by whether or not pets are allowed.
I recently switched from an iPhone to an Android Galaxy. The Compass app has never worked for me on the Android, whereas it was fine on the iPhone.
App has very limited functionality compared to desktop option (e.g. inability to mark not as interested and perform active/inactive filters). In addition, map is buggy and requires one to fully zoom in before it displays the home price icon. Would recommend using the Redfin app much more for a more pleasant experience.
I don't immediately get push notifications when a house that meets my search criteria hits the market, and same with messages from my agent. Yes, the settings are set so that they should be immediate. I do get emails, so I rely on my inbox to notify me instead. When my agent links me something, it doesn't work in the app either, but it does in my email and web browser. It seems that I might as well uninstall this app and only use the browser version
The mobile app is missing a ton of features from the web app. For example, on a listing for a house, you can't hide the listing, unsave the listing, see comments, make comments, or request a tour, but on the web app you can do all of those things. Also if you click on a house, half your screen is stuck as that listing. I actually use Compass significantly less than Trulia, Redfin and Zillow because of this. Please bring feature parity to the mobile app, and improve the UI and UX.
Decent app, some communication issues. When opening the comments section shows the blank empty state with none of the existing comment data for a full 10 seconds before the conversation is loaded and visible to the user. No indication is given during this wait that there are comments actually loading, so I was clicking away after a few seconds thinking that the app was broken. Also, there doesn't seem to be a 'Request Showing' button or action available in the app which is a big gap.
Not bad; similar to Redfin and Zillow apps. Niggest gripe is the map search. It is choppy/laggy as you move across the map. And to select a listing you need to tap your thumb the exact right distance and angle below where the listing is displayed on the map, which usually takes several tries. Biggest positive for the app is that I can filter on 2.5+ bathrooms, which I can't do on Redfin.
Does not give me the same info as an Apple user. Please get on it and update the Android version!
Wish the android version was as good as the apple version. Can't do much with it. Very frustrating
The search feature on this app is beyond frustrating. It won't let you easily move around on the map & show properties with applied filters. It just is super glitchy & doesn't always alert when my agent responds to comments. I wish I could use something else when I'm away from my computer.
App crashes and freezes frequently. Once home is removed from collection, it still shows as favorited on general list view. Slow load times. Non-clickable virtual link for listed homes that do have them. Has potential, but very terrible UX and a waste of time to use currently.
I really love this app when it comes to looking for housing. It opens quick. When you click to look at the pictures of whatever house your looking at there is no delay like other apps including redfin. It opens in 1 to 2 seconds that's how quick it is.
Guys, when will you update this? I've been asking for years, where is $/SF? this is just basic... None of the new features are available, I. E. Favorites, it's still on review and save vs matches/favorites/not interested. Floor plans don't even work (tapping it does nothing), and there is no "recommended" tab. No Markets function... Compass sign notifications... What's the point at this point? It's not going to make any android users get an iPhone, it just makes us upset...
Could use some filters for senior living communities but overall really neat tool to have when working with an agent. There are a lot of duplicate alerts and listings not sure if that's user error or not.
Good app, Hoa max is too low. Nyc HOA's can be as high as 4k. The app filters only allow 1k. Please increase it
Every time you click a notification to open the app and see the listing it goes to a black screen and then the app crashes with a system notification to wait or force close the app. Running stock android on a pixel 3 xl
Why is this app so inferior to the iOS one? You can't access tours and collections and so much more??
Wish it had the commute preview like on the iPad but otherwise it's great
Lots of great features, but it's missing the ability to request a showing. This has caused miscommunications with between my realtor and I. Please add this functionality.
I created an account and I can only fully see listings from compass, all other listings are blocked with a message "local rules require you to login..." But after re-login nothing happens.
The app itself is OK for the most part. It gets a little glitchy at times and gives blank screens. My bigger problem is with the company. They have 0 customer support and do not respond to any questions. I guess they only care about the agents who pay to list to them.
Literally crashes phone every time it opens. Completely, 100% unusable. Trying to work with a compass agent and we can't even use their system. Disaster.
The app often times doesn't show the active properties. Definitely has along way to go to make it comparable to the others.
I get the flashing blank screen when I try to look at any listing details. Only pictures are available. The website works better. App started to display details 15 minutes after a phone reboot.
Android app does not display commute information.
Promising app, but notifications are broken as all notifications lead to the home screen. This makes finding comments from the agent exceedingly hard.
Would be five stars if landscape mode were supported on Android tablets. Compass seems to be locked into portrait view by design. Let your users decide how to display the app!
When clicking on a home on Saved Search list, then going back, the entire lists reloads and scrolls you to the top. This is extremely annoying.
