Really well thought out game with lots of different strategies and high replay value. Need to persist at the beginning to understand the rules but past that you'll wish you paid more attention to master the simple yet deviously complicated scenarios that play out. Awesome game and I've play many strategy ones. No ads either
Might not beautiful but quite functional and the AI are good. Offers more replayability than the official port as it includes the expansions. Yet, I'd go with Race for the Galaxy instead of San Juan, for a more involved, challenging and varied gameplay.
Great digital adaptation of a great game. If the score was out of 10 would have rated 10. love this game and in this format is portable and much more accessible.
San Juan remake. The game is good but the interface is minimalist so do not expect eye candy.
Some mechanisms function differently than San Juan or do not function at all in my experience - the crane an Park for example don't work.
Good adaptation, struggling to get the last achievement.
Great version. Love playing.
Excellent version of the game
Decent AI and a well thought out and effective interface. Also has very interesting statistics which I have not looked at until today even though I have owned the game for 3 years. A shame I didn't get to look at stats on my last phone after 2 years of play.
I have noticed that the AI cheats like crazy and it has really turned me against this game. I start a round and build a coffee roaster for 3 cards (with my builder privilege), I check what the others are going - someone has a library built the same round (for 2 cards cheaper). I hate it!!! Fix this and I'll put it back to 5 stars
This is like a free game of San Juan minus the aesthetics (art and music). However this includes the new buildings and events expansion which is missing in san juan. The only issue I have is that there needs to be a way to read the text on cards in your hand to figure out what they do. The only way to do that as of now is to designate one card for building to read the text on your other cards.
I think this is pretty much my ideal Android game. It's fun, addictive, quick to play, and doesn't require an online connection or a high spec phone (so it's perfect for a bus or train ride). The interface is nicely designed and intuitive, and I haven't run into any bugs yet. It's free, has no ads and doesn't require any security permissions to run. The AI is well implemented and the expert opponents are challenging to beat. The inclusion of expansions and achievements helps with replayability. I wish I could find more games like it!
This game is a phenomenal and faithful implementation of San Juan and has given me many many hours of fun. The AI is more than competent, the interface pretty straightforward and easy, and the game itself quite good. Condado is one of my favorite ways to kill time on the Android.
It works great there's only a slight bug where very occasionally you'll have to restart the game to get your cards to display right. This game is addicting, I've finished 150 games already, says my in-game career stats
Everything about this is fantastic. Very user friendly and true to the original rules of the game. My only complaint is that there is a bug with the Customs Office...currently you can produce a good on it during the Producer phase, while you should only be able to on Councillor phase.
Fun game and a solid implementation of a board game. Only drawback is that it has no network multiplayer. But, the fact that it is lightweight, no ads, and doesn't constantly connect to the Internet really makes it stand out. AI is pretty solid and recent updates have added solid tablet support.
Text on some of the expansion cards is hard to read on my device, but that doesn't change this app's ability to kill time, here and there. It's my go-to for wasting five minutes. Good work!
Fantastic rendering of the game, if only they would do Puerto as well! I'd suggest showing stats against each AI, and maybe more achievements. The game crashes on me once, and it's a little irritating that this recorded as a loss, plus draws seem to be recorded as losses too, even when level on the tie-breaker. But overall a very intuitive setup.
While not the most colorful implementation... it provides an easy to use and intuitive interface. For San Juan fans, this is a must-have app and quite enjoyable to play. If there was ever an upgrade... multi-player would be the most desirable update.
Edit:i had market hall+market stand but i only got 1 extra card. Also unsure how2use Park. A good adaptation with both expansions. Could use better graphics. Question, I chose to be the trader and I have the building that allows me to sell 1 more good, but I could still only sell 2 goods in total? Is that a bug? Or it might have been produce. Also, I cant take an extra card with a carpenter for free build? And the Park and choosing both expansions don't work.
This faithful implementation of San Juan is a solid go-to for any fan. A somewhat idiosyncratic UX might bother at times.
A good game with an easy to use interface. Plays quick and is easy to learn. A few bugs exist: mostly in the button on the screen not updating, but not a huge deal.
Would give 5 stars, but text on some cards in the expansion sets (where there is a lot more text) is not fully displayed. Might be fully viewable on tablets. Is there a way round this? I don't have San Juan, so am not familiar with the game. Bar that one small hitch this app is great.
I bought the actual product this card game is based on after dl'ing this excellent app. It totally tickles the analytical nerd-brain. I more than love it!
Excellent job. I saw the real game came out but i bet this one works better. The original game has better artwork, but this is free and a quality game. Wish there were a campaign, but it is perfect if you feel the urge to play for free.
This is a nice basic easy-to-use version of San Juan, which is one of my favorite card games IRL. Thanks, Kevin. A big thank you for not requiring any obnoxious intrusive permissions.
Despite being a very simple quick game I can happily rattle off four games on the bus to work. Simple, addictive, playable.
As said, this is a very well-made adaptation of the card game. The interface is userfriendly, letting you know the cards' details and mostly what has happened when it isnt your turn. You arent missing out on what you can do either with various reminders. The expansions are there. I do want to see the official updated rule for the guild hall though (and maybe the other buildings too) as an option, as it does seem it's essentially guaranteed victory.
