This app is very slow and cumbersome. For example you have to make several more clicks than other apps just to delete an email. I wish I could go back to my cell phone based app but it's not receiving my Outlook emails as before so I guess I'm stuck with the AOL app. If anybody has a suggestion for a better app that I can use I appreciate it
Several functions are no longer available. There is no way to select several emails at one time. Once you start swiping emails to delete, it also deletes whatever email slides into that space. After an email has been opened, there is no way to get back to it (Old Mail). Not impressed with the new app. I guess I will go back to just checking this account on my laptop.
Decent app,but the Google ads block the ability to use all of the functions. At the bottom Google ads block the control to delete or move selected emails. AOL ads are at the top, but you cannot disable the Google ads or properly use the necessary functions of the app. Someone needs to look into this.
Looks like there are too many ads in this one but it's the price we gotta pay for a lite AOL Mail app that still works on forced Android Lollipop systems after this moveover for working on 6+ only completes and the lollypop compatible version of the full app is locked out from receiving mails. It's good enough to still use my mailbox on here.
Useless. On my Nokia 2.3, ads at bottom cover control buttons (mark read/unread, delete, star, move, spam) so I can't use them. There doesn't seem to be any "select all" functionality either, so even if I could delete emails without opening them, I would have to select one at a time.
All of a sudden Im unable to get into my account. I have corrrect password..then it says theres been some suspicious activity so I need a code. I dont have the same cell number that they want to send a code to and offer no other means to recover my account. Would NOT suggest this email to anyone! Ive lost several other apps due to them being linked to this email account. Thanks aol!
This new version is horrible! Get rid of it asap! Bring back the old one ! Not getting emails. Ads blocking screen use. Who on earth thought this was workable? can't believe someone thought was a good idea. To sum up.... worst app ever
When I open my mail, a different mail pops up. For example, I'll open Bookbub and a Wells Fargo mail will open instead. This happens ALL of the time. Loading can take forever! Or not at all. It's not great, but it's all I have access to right now. It's a true chore checking my mail.
When I select an email, never opens the one I selected. I know it's not a touchscreen issue because it shows the loading circle on the one I selected, yet a completely different email opens every time. Hate it! Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling
Ads cover all the email functions. Delete, archive, everything. Who the hell thought that would be a good idea?! Utterly useless app now. Don't waste your time or bandwidth.
I've had it 2 weeks and find the app irritating, as you can't delete emails without opening them, when it's not on web view. I don't like the ads at the bottom. They get in the way of working on emails. It wasn't easy to find options like send, reply, delete.
terrible app. emails when you click on them turn out to be the wrong one . you have to constantly update your new messages so you can select the email you want. only stores a days worth of emails for me and then disappears and emails disappear for no reason
I don't seem to be able to see all my mail at one time it only gives me a certain amount of them and then deleting my emails they seem to go back to ones that I've supposedly deleted. for instance if I delete something from say Best Buy and then I go to open something up from Red Lobster it shows me the Best Buy email. seems like there's a lot of glitches.
Every time I try to open an email it opens something totally different. A lot of important emails are in the trash folder and it's not clear to me how to fix that issue. I hate to give up on something so quick but not being able to open the email I'm clicking on just doesn't work for me.
This app stinks! The aol app that was red was great. This one does not work well. When I'm on it, It is constantly opening emails I haven't clicked on. Sometimes it won't when let me open an email. The time now spent to go through emails on this app is ridiculous!
When I search for particulsr mail and attemp to open from search, the app actually opens mail that is first in email instead of the one I selected from the search. When app is opened and is loading mail if I select the one showing, it actually opens the one that is in that position after loading (the one i havent even seen yet). this means you are opening mail that you didn't intend to open and leaves you open to bugs in your system. I am just logging in through browser until this stuff is fixed
The only way to use this is in web mode! It sucks! You get too many adds in app mode and can't read your email. In Web mode it only gives the most recent and can't go back! I think after all these years I'm going to have to dump Aol and use Gmail!
this app should be discontinued! You can't do anything on it. no deleting, no moving mail, no multi-selection the last app was 1000% better. I am going to have to go to a different email provider which sucks because I have had this one for 20 years.
Trying to view my email on this app with my mobile device is a joke. Cannot see any tools, can't delete more than one text at a time, screen is to big when opening an email, almost as if it's not meant for mobile devices at all.
The positive is I can retrieve my AOL Mail and it synchs. The negatives are there is no search feature, I have been unable to attach pictures to emails, and you can't delete an email while it is open.
Awful App This Interface is the worst. Doesn't even allow me to select an email. opens random emails no maybe what email is selected. no way of deleting emails except swiping and if you refresh all of the deleted email come back. what a waste of space.
The ads block the very bottom so trashing isn't possible unless you change over to web application mode. The app also runs extremely slow and closes down unless you change to web application mode. This app needs some serious fixing.
Constantly crashes, ads cover contents, attachments won't attach in mobile version, click messages after searching to get a different message than what I click on. I miss the original version using the app on my phone.
It only opens to a partial page on my Chromebook. When I click on the email I want to read, it opens a completely different email. It's frustrating to try to use and I hate it.
Which 1 would u like to move, d menu on d bottom (which covering d entire menu with full of adds) or d adds move onto d upper part? Coz it's being block by full of adds & u can't organize or control our own mail in any android. If d keyboard goes up to use it, d adds supposed to b disappeared temporarily. Also, add a box to check it if d user wanted to delete all d non important adds/messages, so it saves time not to check it 1 by 1. Please fix it also d draft can be re-audit a composed messages
Has Ads that are truly irrelevant. app ads for emails which are not necessary. plus i dont get a "saved mail" folder, nor an archive folder, nor do i get a folder create option. this aol app is what i need to use my aol emails. not the best app. could use improvements
This app is awful. It will not show my most recent emails. It opens emails without being prompted. No way to delete email while open. I will be uninstalling. Big waste of time & energy.
Horrible doesn't come close!!! I can't get more than a few emails, and worse, when I open an email, it doesn't match the sender!!! NEVER had this problem on iPhones!!!
Pop up field over tool bar, high battery drain, out going emails go into oblivion while composing and sometimes just don't go. Can't view email attachments.
Abysmal app. Three banner ads on screen, and further ads made to look like personal emails. It takes a long while to load, shows my emails for ten seconds, then the screen goes white for thirty seconds to connect to the web so it can upload more ads. I hate it. Compared to the old AOL app, this is utter rubbish.
