Connect for Hotmail

Not impressed. For some reason this month background updates used 36 GB of mobile data and has wiped out allowance so have no Remaining mobile data for rest of the month. I have used this app for a long time and never had this happen before. I will now have to buy more data from network. The search from sender function has always been extremely slow, in fact I now use laptop hotmail account to search Instead.

I have only 1 caveat: 1. When i or others need a re-set code, PLEASE! Put a link into the email, to access the site. Save time and tempers. This is a great site otherwise. The help members are the top, bar none. The group seems to be focused on customer care, which, between that and their product, are the only 2 items worth mentioning , to me. Provided, of course, with the compliance with my request- just kidding.... Sort of.

Won't load inbox up unless click sent then inbox, really annoying an so is the rate me popping up all the time . Also no notification working when I receive a e mail. So ya wanted rating I rate 1 star if I could half it I would . I will find another app.

I want to check my emails not be bombarded with adds so you can get paid🤬 doesn't happen online so why with the app. Stop it, your wasting my time and it opens a new window to sit in the background. why!!!?

Started to get pop up adverts on my email every time i look at it. If this continues I thk i will delete this app which has been very good until this started.

Use to be awesome now you have ads popping up all the time and games trying to get you to download them before you can even get to your emails.

I've now used this for over a year and it has got progressively worse. I never liked the idea of lumping all items of a conversation into one entry, because you have to keep scrolling down every time you read an email, to make sure you've not missed several others. However, I stuck with it, even though it was hit and miss, when deleting an email. Also, it was too easy to delete an email accidentally, even though I was aware of the "swipe right" method of deleting. It now keeps freezing.

Thinking of closing down this email account due to the amount of advertising popping up all of a sudden. Full page adverts that cannot be turned off until the bloody timer is out. I dont want advertising. If I want something I will google for it!! This advertising is getting out of control!!! Weeks later I'm adding to this review! What the hell is going on with all the pop up ads? I cannot go out of an email without bloody afs everywhere. I have to shut the app and go back into it to see email

Used this app for years and never had a problem until the last few months. Deleted emails continue to show in my inbox. I have tried opening to delete, swipe to delete, and group deletion. None of these stops them from popping right back in there. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Nothing seems to work. I am giving up on this app.

It's great, now just don't change it. Just uninstalled a different app because they had an update and ruined it. Don't be like them. Just leave the app as it is, you've already won 👍

I've been using hotmail for over 15 years at this point. In the last year, the hotmail app has installed pop up ads that you can't close and play through for about 15-20 seconds in the middle of reading your emails. Seriously?? Maybe I need to finally make a new account on Gmail. What a pain! As everything is tied to my hotmail account! Super disappointed in these ridiculous ads just to check my own emails

Constantly crashing, not showing all emails, etc

Awful it's stop all the time I try to open I can't see my important emails really bad.

Have just started using annoying pop up ads which are on a timer before you can be free of them and actually read your emails. Used to be a great app but now it's become very frustrating and annoying to use. Such a shame to see something that was great now become unfriendly, unusable and unprofessional.

Pants Update too many ads keep on popping up this will now be deleted off my phone

I was forced to update 2 days ago. This update cleared out all my emails in ny Inbox, archive and all my other folders, except Junk Mail. I want my saved emails back. The new update is total BS! After using this same Hotmail account for over a quarter of a century, I am looking for a different email app. The developer's response advice to my review was also wrong. Their suggestion did not work. I was trying their "trigger" before I recieved the "no-reply" email.

Version 45 isn't loading all my emails properly. Edit - Another update, another issue!! Now the app isn't updating or loading all emails. Can you please fix these issues!! Love the app and usually don't have any issues ... until the last few updates. Update - After installing the 3rd update the app is back to working properly again. Thanks for addressing the issue!! Just did the newest update and app still is not working!! After the most recent update the app won't open.

Won't automatically synchronize anymore after last Android update. No notifications. You have to manually open application every time you want to check if you got an email. Doesn't seem like someone working on the patch to fix it. Will delete it and move on to something else.

The ADS! WTH? I used to love this app. It's fine still on my laptop, but on my phone it's ridiculous. Delete an email, you get an ad. Open an email & every few seconds, another ad. I've used Hotmail over 20 years, same address. I'm ready to delete my account & switch to anything else.

Whats the deal with the advertisement all of a sudden? This app sux now. 2/15/22 app really sux now. They claim that with the new update they fixed issues. Not one issue was fixed. Spam/junk email keeps getting through, even when you put them in the junk folder, they come back the next day.

Waaaaaaay better and easier than the old app. Little things mainly, but it also looks better so i think navigation has improved as a result. I'm very happy this has been improved, i was frustrated with the previous version and with it being a Microsoft email, i was surprised it wasn't updated earlier. Thanks Hotmail

I do not want spam advertising on my personal email. I would appreciate getting rid of it Otherwise the app is fine

This app works great. I was having problems with the outlook app not letting me receive etransfers. Message for updated browser popping up all the time. Browsers were up to date and so was phone. It was the outlook app that bugged out. This connect for hotmail app is super efficient.

Updated Comment: Glad the developer made changes. Now that there is less non-stop pop-up ads, I will give it a 4-star rating. Hope the app will stay this way. (Previous Comment) Too many ads and they have made it almost impossible to use the app in a proper way.

This was an incredible consistant app until you added commercials and ads. I do not object to these additions but since their inclusion - it continues to fail. Not opening or trying to open on its own. Closing while reading an email. Inhibiting my other apps from working. It is truly annoying.

App has worked perfectly for my uses in the past. However I have stopped getting any notifications for new emails over the last few days. I have turned off the notifications and back on again. Checked to see if they are blocked by my phone but that is also not the case.

This has become an ads app with a hint of emails rather than an email app with (maybe) a hint of ads. It used to be a great app, but since the recent addition of ads it's gotten super annoying and I'm actively looking for a replacement. Super disappointed.
