Constant Therapy

Constant Therapy is an award winning speech therapy app for people recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, or who have aphasia, dementia and other speech-language disorders. The app can improve speech, language, cognition, memory, reading, attention and comprehension skills with 65 categories of tasks, over 60,000 stimuli, and 10 difficulty levels.
Constant Therapy was designed by scientists at Boston University, has won awards from American Stroke Association and AARP, and is recommended by speech language pathologists, neurologists and occupational therapists. Exercises are specifically customized for each person's unique needs
- so the program adapts to your progress every day. Recent research published in Frontiers of Neuroscience shows that stroke and brain injury survivors using Constant Therapy showed significant improvement in standardized tests and got an average of 4 hours of extra therapy per week.

Patients or individuals can use Constant Therapy independently at home or with their clinician. Therapists, educators and researchers can use the program with multiple clients, set up homework and monitor patients' progress to make better clinical decisions.

A free trial of up to 30 days is available for patients / individuals. No payment information is required to start the trial. Scholarship programs allow us to provide some support for individuals with financial hardships.

Nice app and I recommend it, but right now it's too pricey for me. A lot of work has gone into this and you have real, responsive people supporting this app and assisting. That CAN'T come for free. If things weren't tight right now, I'd be using it. I recommend this app.

Went thru the baseline activities. Then was asked if I wanted to subscribe. Since I had no info on what subscription would entitle me to, plus no idea how much it would cost, I chose subscribe. But the page wouldn't load. Waited about 3 mins then X'd out of the app. I believe the app could help me, but I'm most likely out of the game because I'm on a very tight fixed income (disability).

Super helpful for aphasia. Love how it is customized to individual needs.

This is great. I remember many of these tasks from therapy. Would also be good for the elderly. Wish it was possible to adjust on your own the tasks that need to be worked on OR discontinue the ones that maybe dont need as much focus, though that would probably mess up reportings.

There is SO. MUCH. POTENTIAL. for this app. The exercises seem right along the lines of clinical SLP practice. I question the need to include passive voice (that will actually put users in a bad position in the workforce for many reaaonably-paying jobs). I finished an exercise where every response I gave showed up as "Correct with help" though that was factually incorrect. One I got incorrect in another exercise I could have justified in person--which would thus prove higher cognitive function.

Even though this wasn't at my level of cogniscence most of the time, CT helps exercise my memory. Everyone thinks differently, so this might be more challenging for someone else. Overall it is effective.

So deceptive. Please advertise as a paid app (monthly subscription) not as free, to avoid people downloading just to find out they can't really use it unless they pay, leaving them to give a bad review, such as this. It might be a great app for those who ARE willing to pay, but make it a lot more clear from the beginning. That way the reviews are fair representation of an actual app, and not a frustrating waste of time for some individuals.

More of a game than actual therapy. No cognitive learning to train the brain with any useful tools to grow or strengthen current therapy for this previous TBI patient. I had the app for 2 days before I realized I forgot what I did on it the day before because it's just made to try and sell you a "therapy plan" to help brain training.

The customized 'practices' have started to be directed to what is truely needed. I find often I touch the arrow to receive the next question. Apparantly in error, I end the sequence and advance to the next program. Important for me is to back up and receive the next question. I have not seen a way to accomplish that.

great idea. not edited properly. I have went through multiple questions and there are multiple correct answers, however if you do not guess the CT APP correct answer your answer is deamed wrong. Even simple ones where you have to identify the symbols. There were 5 symbols, but it only lets you mark 4 of them. Good idea, poor follow through. Or you have to say the name of the picture, the picture is of a persons legs at a beach. If you say beach it us wrong because they are looking for LEG.

I have been looking for an app like this for a few years. Paid $2000 out of pocket to get all my strengths and weakness after multiple TBI's. After you register, you find out, you can only use it for15 days, then have to get a note from a doctor to use it, and pay them. I don' t mind paying for an app to help me. Getting a doctor note, when you are on a fixed income, w/o insurance is what I object to. If I ready needed a doctor I get a nice cash only based rate, but this is not neccessary.

Do not install. False advertising. They do not indicate that this is a subscription app. It appears to be free. You find out after you have given personal information (such as your telephone number) that it is a subscription service. By that time it is too late. They have your information.

The updates to the app are at times less clear than the original. Example: During alternating symbol patterns, I preferred the checkmark vs. the tile outlined in purple.

I installed your software and attempted the tests. The tests did not open, I clicked continue and the tests continued to scroll through. I thought there was an issue with my anti-virus program and the testing program, but before I could look at it a report popped up. This report read that I had taken all of the tests and passed all question we hen I had never seen one single question. Then a pop up to pay for a membership? This seems a scam I uninstalled.

It`s a fun learning app, it's surprising to find out what your brain in particular is not very good at, and I enjoy the challenges.

I love this program. My only problem is that I am not American so I find the american money tasks difficult. The variety and the fact that I can gear towards my weaknesses is terrific. The instructions are very easy and clearly said.

I really think that this is a great tool for therapy. It really make you slow down and think. Some are more exciting then others but I see that it can help when you declutter your mind and think about what you are doing.

Totally disappointed. Used a bait and switch on me. Said it was free of charge, then in the fine print I find out it was free for 15 days then $25 dollars a month. Uninstalled the App.

Nov. R. Feb 5, 2020

I took the time to download this app and they only tell you how much it costs ( WAY TOO MUCH...) AFTER they COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION. I ended up uninstalling right away. Its a waste of time. i too am sorry i have them the info.

Problems for people with dimentia or Alzheimers... It is NOT appropriate to ask them how well they are remembering things, understanding things, etc.as this app does with the user. Do not do that! It's embarrasing and very upsetting to people with those conditions to be asked those questions. If someone is using it with them, that person can answer those questions for them if it can be done without their hearing or seeing the questions. It is a good idea for someoneto do the exercises with them.

Eva. R. Nov 13, 2019

This is one unique and varied set of tests. Im really interested and entertained of course but more than anything im interested in how i am improving on so many levels

Kat. S. Jan 22, 2020

It's a 14 day free trial and the $24.99 a month. Nope. Gave a meh review because the app hides the cost until they have your information. Be up front about your cost.

Thi. I. F. Jan 29, 2020

Everytime I try and log in the app crashes. Same if I try and make a new account. Wouldnt suprise me if this app is just for stealing your information, I regret sharing my email

Tin. R. Jan 31, 2019

it seems to be geared towards people who have a lesser book intelligence score than i do & since ive completed the first 4 sets of tasks & theyhave been the same it leaves me less hope this will train my brain to do anything more than what i am already capable of. seems to be a big waste of time.

I love it! It's really helping my son in his recovery from a severe TBI.
