Amazing app. What I was looking for. The total earth view is the best option to understand astronomy.
Star chart would only move when I moved it manually. Did not work by pointing towards the sky. 10 yrs ago the star apps were so accurate. And that was before apps had to be downloaded on Google play. I was happy to find one that stated that the app did work by pointing phone to constellation wanting to be viewed. Alas it did not! Arghh!
As a amateur astronomer for 55 yrs. these apps & devices are much easier to learn how to connect with the celestial sky, night or day. Fantastic! The old school way was tedious & physically demanding, working with loads of textbooks & the outdoors. Thanks for the new tech!
There is a search function, but it cannot find the Perseid meteor shower's direction. Apparently this common celestial event is not in its database, makes you wonder what else is missing. But very intuitive to use, you move your phone around to find the direction of whatever star you're looking for.
Nice and clean, easy to use, educational. I like the view options that allow you to either point your phone camera at a spot to identify a star or constellation, or scroll with your finger.
This app is perfect for the home astronomer. Its more accurate and doesnt have all the theatrics the others do. This app not for someone who just wants to look at the stars without actually going outside and looking up.
Choppy screen updates when moving phone around. Not precise; stars displayed in the general vicinity of where they really are. Display options are limited.
I have not used this app for a long time and decided for another, now I am going through the settings I hope it will be better than the other app I sometimes use however when it asks what language you wish to decide for it was so limited unfortunately that makes the possibility of my partner taking an interest and although English is understood Romanian is not there? Personally I would have thought an app with the capabilities this seems to have I am disappointed in the lack of languages!!!
Just says the magnetic sensor is unreliable. Doesn't let you manually look around. App is pointless if I can't look another direction. Using a Google Pixel 2.
I just installed it so I've not had time to study it but from what I've seen so far, very nice. Please include the Pleiades in your next update, and let the Search zoom to the result automatically. Then 5 stars. Good work. 👍
You need to make it easy for the average person to use. No apparent calibration controls. And why is this showing the sky when "pointing" towards the ground? Doesn't seem to be point towards the sky and blah blah.
I'm not sure if I like this app... for sure saw one planet and the app revealed 2... Am I supposed to just randomly move my phone around because I got names of constellations that I didn't believe we're in the camera's eye, yet. Was I doing something wrong? Otherwise, it is very interesting to see the galaxy when there's too much light pollution.
Very helpful for a backgarden amateur astronomer like me with binoculars only. I can enlarge the text for my aging eyes and the colours are nice and usefully bright.
Great app. My favourite feature was the search option. Thanks to that a got to see many planets and stars. It's pretty accurate. It was fun to watch the Sun right below me at around midnight!
I guess I must not have acceleration sensor and a geomagnetic sensor. No instructions with app, absolutely no help. After 1 hour of trying to understand this program, and I'm not stupid... I uninstalled. I must keep the rest of my opinion to myself I think it's his time.
easy to use and quickly figure out what that bright spot in the night sky you've been steady looking at, is. i can live with the ads, they're not terribly intrusive
Doesn't do work as described. It's a really nice star chart but not interactive at all. It's just a star chart on your phone. It doesn't actually find and name things.
Tons of fun! Seems accurate, informative and easy to set up. It's really interesting and my teenagers like to learn more about stars and astrological sun signs. 💜💜
Absolutely brilliant. Only thing i would ask the developers is to add an option to calibrate the sensors.
Very easy to use & view, with no annoying music or constellation graphics like some other apps.
It can be use offline and it is nice but sometimes the map isnt accurate or not right but try it. Totally, its a nice astronomical app
I'VE used this brilliant tool for over two years. It's a Really Handy tool for anyone trying to get practice handling celestial coordinates. The developer regularly adds useful tweaks. Is also responsive to suggestions and questions by email. I often feel I should be paying for this. It's reliable and comprehensive. Remember to keep your field sensor tuned properly. Great for checking calcs. eg. Az. Alt. Amplitude. Works on ALL bodies - not just the 57 on the selected list. NEW.Reinstall in2022
