I've used this to add my more "used" contacts to my home screen. You get to label it or if there is a picture associated with that contact, then the picture is there. You can setup the default behavior of the individual widgets when you click them - bring up dialog, dial mobile, dial home number or text. Keeps it simple and that seems to allow it work without bugs.

I used the software earlier and it was working fine. But after upgrading to the new OS, it doesn't simply works. I uninstalled the software and installed again. Whatever contacts I had in the home screen earlier, that also I lost. The software does not add any contacts on home screen anymore and just keeps hopping on the same contacts screen. No menu or any further information to proceed. Rgds Shyam

Coming as I do from the Unix world, that's the design philosophy I appreciate it, and this app displays it in spades. It has *just* the right amount of complexity. Or would, if you could put Widgets in Folders. So, one suggested improvement: Allow the selection of a Group, instead of a Contact, and put one extra menu in front to pick its members. Still, an A.

I have a contact selected and set click behavior to show the menu. After clicking the widget and selecting SMS once, clicking again will always go direct to SMS, no menu opens. Other than that, I really like the app.

4.5 stars really! Just downloaded and using it on Xperia Neo V with ICS. A really user-friendly and customizable-enough widget. You place a 1x1 widget for each contact you want on your homescreen, and you select the default action: show actions, show contact, call number, send an sms or e-mail. If you select "show actions", a pop-up will appear when you touch the widget, where you select one of those actions. The only thing I see it's missing is WhatsApp integration; add it and this app gets 5 stars easily. I was actually hoping for a 4x4 box widget that would allow me to choose each and every contact, regardless of it being in my favorites or not, for somehow the widgets I'd tried before failed to capture most of my favorites. This little widget came as a surprise, but a good one. It's a little tiresome at first to place widgets one by one for each contact, but in turn it lets you choose actions for each one and add/delete contact widgets freely. I firmly recommend.

I concur with Simon - adding the type tag would be very useful. However, much more serious is that I don't get the contact name displayed with the icon on the home screen. I have to rely on position/photo to identify the contact.

When I press on widget, it loads my contacts but then they all disappear and leave no widget to press.

Lately when I'm putting a widget up, no picture shows with it. All my old ones display their picture, but none of the new ones do -- just the contact widget icon. I love this app otherwise.

I have three problems with this: 1. The picture is small (doesn't take the full 1x1 place) 2. No way to avoid text completly (probably because of the first problem) 3. I wish it supported doubletap to open the contact (while single tap is used to dial)

I use it just for home-screen icons to quick-call or text contacts. Super easy, & I can use as many icons as I want (instead of being forced to use them in groups, like 4x1). Even works w/the "Tiny Call Confirm" (anti butt-dialing) app I also use. Love it!

Just puts useless icons on home page. Can't assign a contact to it. Plz advise if I'm missing something

Works good. My phone has this feature but my current theme acts up with them. So this app covered me in that area. No glitches. All powerful Droid X.

After rebooting the phone, all the contact icons I put on the homescreen were greyed out and not working anymore. until then it worked fine.

I hated the tiny little contact shortcut icons for speed dials on the LG Optimus V - this is just what I was looking for. It doesn't sync with facebook contact photos, but if you assign them manually in the phone or in your gmail contacts on the web, it's perfect!

I use it for all my favorites. But on my Galaxy s3 it had large icons. Now on my s5 it has small icons that I can't see well. I'll be looking for something different.

This doesn't show text below the contact image. If I don't have an image for the contact it's pretty much useless.

Downloaded this on my Intercept, upgraded to the Epic and it was one of the first apps I downloaded. Most of the people I contact are via SMS, so this works perfect for me. Would like it to also have the option of email or instant message in future updates.

I like the individual widgets but wish it would come with text under each image. The widget didn't work after restarting phone. HTC EVO

Does not show contact photos like the sample pictures show. Worst part is the dev does not respond to any emails. Useless.

Promising but buggy on Droid 2. Widget names don't display properly. Can't handle pause in phone number.

This is a great feature to have! It makes contacting your friends MUCH easier than thumbing through the WHOLE list of contacts! Highly recommend!

Can't edit name once contact is placed on the home screen. No option to change appearence of the icon or text. Apart from direct calling, Android's built in functionality is better. Sorry but I uninstalled it.

The only app I've found that does what I wanted, you can choose which no to call, or text, or contact details, excellent. My phone won't do this without the app.
