I'm confused. Either something is wrong with me or there's something wrong with this app. I don't understand how the syncing works. When I save contacts, I can't find them via this app - I have to resort to the Phone app to retrieve them. I don't see my contacts saved to the Microsoft Exchange Server. The app settings are so scanty and don't offer much control. I'm not sure whether it is truly part of the BlackBerry Hub ecosystem! I'm a paying customer and I feel cheated.

Very good contacts management app for multiple email accounts. Easy to merge duplicates too.

A design mess. How difficult can it be to create the umpteenth version of a contacts app that makes sense. I don't want to "hang out" here, I need quick access to all contacts irrespective where they are stored so the first task would be to fully sync all data. And pay attention to detail. Remove the ugly gaps between first and last name. I'm quite certain this was never tested in a user lab. Ruining the blackberry legacy one app at a time.

I like BlackBerry since it was available in Indonesia a few years ago. Until now I still use Contacts by BlackBerry, because this is still the best in my opinion. There are some things that need to be fixed in Contacts, first The Add (+) button should be placed at the bottom-right of the screen, not bottom-center of the screen, it covers the list of names. Then put the DIAL button on the screen, maybe in the bottom-left. Last, please add the BLACK theme. Thanks.

Not a great app for contact management. 'Sharing' a contact function does not work. When an existing contact is viewed, the first and only # that appears for them is their fax, and to see other numbers you need to touch 'see all'. The search is unbelievably unhelpful - even when I enter first and last name in their entirety, the correct contact is 15th on the returned list. What's up with that?

I called my office main line last night (using the dialpad), and the call got attached to the contact for my boss, who has a "work" entry for that number with an extension. But because I didn't dial my boss' extension, it doesn't show up in the call history for that contact. When I changed my boss' entry to remove the extension, the calls appear in the call history, but it only says "yesterday" (even though it was less than 12 hours ago). I can't find a way to view the call details, every time I try to tap on a history entry (as some help pages suggest), it just dials again. I bought a BlackBerry KEY2 in part for the software security, but it's looking like I'll need to download some sketchy "call details" type app to view the call details including time. (Actually I was able to download Google's contacts app via the link at the bottom of my tags list in the gmail app, and it has full call details)

app does not sync new contacts created on the phone into outlook even when created in the correct way (saved in Hub+). it syncs from outlook to the phone but not the other way. hence unusable app since the update in March. cannot recommend. Even worse, the email listed for blackberry support on this app page does NOT work!! Google should bar them from the app store

Mostly still good but not as good. It was always good at not letting spam calls ring but noticed a week ago that spam calls ring. Always answered calls since it rang if you're in my contacts but was silent if not. Now it rings for all calls including spam calls. I haven't changed any settings so it's super annoying! Also noticed saving contacts isn't as easy as before. I can now only save to hub+ of a specific email or device only. I hope the new team working on next iteration does better job.

The dial screen (the one with the red and green phone icons) has suddenly disappeared. While calling I cannot cancel the call of do any other function during it! While I recieve a call I cannot accept it hitting the green phone icon, so it continues ringing until I use the lock button. I unistalled (updated) the app and reinstalled it several times, but without re-estating the during-a-call screen! What else can I do, since this app is part of the deep rooted BB Hub+ suit?

I really like this app. I would have given 5 stars, but I am currently having a small issue. The problem is that I am not able to share partial contact information (for example, if I only want to share the name and phone, but not the address). When I try to do that, I got a notification saying: Couldn't open "file:///storage/emulated/0/[contact name]..." Sharing a full contact works as expected. Kind regards.

The app is great to use. I however feel that it takes time to load and to get to the final process i.e accessing the desired contact, unlike the android app. I cannot access the last dialled number and I have to go through the whole process again, which is time consuming. I am also unable to make USSD calls or enquiries. Please work on that to make the app more friendlier to use because it is a really owesome app. The last contact face is really great as I can access all the media that I desire.

Not sure why, but contacts that i have had for years no longer autofill when I try to forward an email to them or send an email. It's like they no longer exist in my contacts yet they are there. Many times i have to look them up, and copy and paste their adress to forward an email to them. This is extremely annoying, and kind of defeats the term "smart phone" .

i want the simple contact display with all the information on one page - not half page with graphics blank image. the REAL BBhub was so efficient. This app is very inefficient as you have to go into edit see all the empty fields and finally get a send phone number or address after lots of scrolling. The BB contacts were simple. All information clear on one screen.

Does not show all Outlook contacts making it very unreliable as a tool. I noticed that if you add new contacts or edit a contact from another device this app does not show those changes. Basic syncing does not seem to work. This has been a problem since the app was introduced.

search contacts is not good with new app design. Before, if you searched, in the contacts if search term is found in 'notes' section of the contacts, the snippet of the note was displayed. eg: if I search for the word 'follow-up' then it'd show me all contacts where I've saved the word 'follow-up' in the notes field and it'd even show snippet like 'Follow-up in January'. But now it just shows contacts without any snippet. It still searches all fields but results are without snippet and unhelpful.

It mixes up contacts from different accounts and duplicates them. If I try to delete them from accounts they don't belong in it says it will delete in all accounts. Seems to be no way to look at contacts from only one account. Each contact's phone number(s) show multiple times when messenger searches contacts. I'm sure the problem relates to what this app feeds that app.

It was working perfectly until recently on my Google pixel 2 with Android 10. I purchased a monthly subscription for blackberry hub which comes with other apps including contacts app. When trying to share a contact I get "Direct sharing not available" and can only share to messages app(sms). I used to be able to share to various Apps like WhatsApp. Googles contact app I can share from there with no issues, while I cannot with blackberry contact app. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled t.

What have you done to this app? Two years ago when I bought this phone, I could add a contact to a group with relative ease, without having to think out what I'm doing. Now I'm tearing my hair out trying to add a contact to a group. Has this app being upgraded? If so, how do we do it now? I like software that works with you, eg. MIcrosoft Pocket PC, BlackBerry (before Google). I use this phone, BlackBerry Keyone, as both phone and organiser.

Disgusting. What have they done to this app. It once was awesome, but recently I cannot download my contacts from Outlook or even gmail. I have to manually add them all. Once the contacts used to download into my car. But even that has stopped. What is Blackberry doing. Alternate phones are not a patch on my Key2.

Why would you are holding my contacts ransom!!!! No option for ad based. Was definitely going to subscribe but the day the trial was over the app locked me out of the contacts app. No option for ad based access. How about a heads up before downloading? Cost me great aggravation. Forced me to switch to the native phone app which works great. What brainiac thought that strategy up?

I'm a dedicated blackberry user. I've always enjoyed the interface of the BlackBerry contacts app. now that blackberry has gone Android, Android has taken over the contacts. no longer can I manage my contacts within the contacts app. For some reason they only show up in the phone app. I suspect it is an Android thing because if I remove my gmail email from the accounts my contacts reappear. clearly a fix is needed.

This useless excuse for a programme constantly creates duplicates, triplicates and more. Even after using the "link" feature it just goes back to dups, triplicates and more. Even completely deleting the app and re-entering all contacts it still goes to this multiplying action. The developer should be drummed out of the industry!

If the sim is removed and put back again or if the airplane mode is turned on or if one sim is deactivated and then reactivated then you will lose all contacts which you have saved recently. saving contacts has always been an issue, right from launch of this product. it took me a lot of time to understand this.

I do not need to see my name and contact information at the top of my contact list. I know how to contact myself. I would much prefer the search bar that we used to have. It is hard to get the search bar to appear. Also I do not like the colored boxes around the teeny tiny pictures of my favorites. I prefer large pictures of my favorites because, after all, they are my favorites. I am uninstalling this app.

Not working properly with my Moto G Power (2021) - doesn't recognize multiple contacts accounts, and crashes when I try to choose a group to display. Tried to contact support through Google Play, and all I get is an automatic reply directing me to their website, where I have not yet found any way to submit a bug report nor create a trouble ticket. Boo!

Fed up with this app deleting my contacts - don't automatically assume my email contacts are up-to-date or the only contacts I have! I don't carry my pc around with me but I do carry my phone everywhere. The contacts on my phone should be seen as correct and sacrosanct - stop amending/deleting them when you do updates etc. That is very annoying!

Joh. M. Jun 17, 2019

Last update is very poor, many task are no longer there. you cannot add a contact from incoming phone numbers. Poor design. You do not improve anything by flipping things around and confuse users that need to go search for the tools that they had at their fingertips.

I can no longer find a contact using the search contact function, while compossing a new text message. If you type a name you know exists, then press enter, it will say, "Invalid Contact." Unfortunately you have to scroll to the specific name alphabetically. Its been this way for a few months so I though I was just behond the limit of contacts; which prompted me to I deletde dozens of old contacts. I still can not search for a contact via keyboard quick search...
