I was tickled pink to have finally found an app created with such capabilities. I had over 1500 duplicate contacts, still from the apps initial first start-up to the time it sifted through to a finish was less than 90 seconds. I'm impressed, great job. I believe you guys have the potential to craft the first app that will assist with duplicate Google photos, along with making bulk downloads a possiblity. Because who else had gotten sick of having to SEPARATELY click "download" on each INDIVIDUAL one your photos and videos when you've had to recover them? Enough of my rant, thank you MobilEdit/Compelson Labs and happy holidays.
Confusing. Finds and deletes duplicates quickly and accurately. Days you need to purchase PRO version to save changes at the end. My changes seem to be saved, but I haven't closed app yet. When I tried to purchase Pro version, I got a message from Google that they were going to store my payment info. So I cancelled payment. I don't know what will happen once I close out of the app???
Read on a forum post that this application is capable of removing duplicate phone numbers within the same contact. Ran it three times. No evidence that this functionality is there. Free. 'preview' versions that don't save changes would do well to at least show all functionality if present. Lost sale. If this can actually do this gimping the preview / free version for fear of losing sales just did the opposite.
I've used this for a few years but never wanted to leave a rating which might discredit the hard work. There's an overall counterintuitivity between functions - IFlewer functions/features might improve the app's ability to 'learn' what it's just been taught. It doesn't have to remember beyond a session. The greatest frustration is this apps blindness to even the most obvious duplicates and insistence on the duplicate nature of contacts which are not. I support CO's hard work unreservedly.
Needs much more refinement of filters, matches, suggestions, and user interface. Many on-screen descriptions of steps and results are incomplete, confusing, or nonsensical. Developer needs to test app with independent users who are native speakers of language being used. I'm didn't sign up for being a beta tester.
Very usefull app , i refused to use illegal version of it and i chosed to buy it to support the great developers
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! After having tried multiple contact managers/duplicate finders, this one is bar none the best one. I actually had just used a different "duplicate finder," that supposedly found all duplicates on all my accounts, and then used this one immediately after. This one cleaned up the mess that the other one didn't even recognize. And did it respectably accurate. 6 stars if I could. Try it for yourself.
I've tried just about all the apps similar to this on the Play Store and nothing even comes close to this app! It's GREAT! It does everything I wanted and then some, and it's simple to use. Once I started trying it out and saw how great, I purchased Pro Version and I'm so glad I did. My contacts were so messed up: triple, quadriple, etc of same contacts and saved everywhere. This app has straightened it all out for me. Thank you! Thank you! If I could give more stars I would!
Dreaded correcting my contacts... then found this fast, efficient fix! ALL with my input and approval! Deletes duplicates, yes, but even duplicate information WITHIN contacts! Merges, yes, but intuitively. Unlike other apps that combine ALL rather than consolidating! Finds and fixes incorrect phone formats and capitalization, yes, but not until all else is optimized! It absolutely lives up to its name. And more. (Oh, and it finds contacts WITHOUT contact information 😲. Who knew.)
Deserves 6/5 to be honest. tried using other waste of time apps but didn't work. This app optimized my contact list by removing duplicate numbers on my contact list. Some of my contacts had up to 4 of the same numbers saved as one contact which was really frustrating as when I used to search for a contact and a list of the same numbers used to show but this app actually got rid of it. Even considering paying for the pro version and I've never left a review on an app before.
Im using the paid version. 1. Like other similar apps, this one misses many duplicate numbers, so you must repeat the search with other apps to catch the oversights. 2. the "phone data backup and transfer" feature does not even work.3. It lets me back up to yahoo or google, but not to my phone. 4. it doesn't ket me restore from those supposed backup files! 5., Search-and-replace feature does not make all of the changes requested. 6. Beautiful layout and concept, however. I wish it worked.
Paid version only holds good. Couldn't able to eliminate read only contact or else to do edit or any other things with those one. For eg. Its showing 754 contact from airtel account and even after uninstalling the airtel app i am getting the same No. Of contacts displaying as read only, Contact optimizer couldn't able to refresh its data, even after uninstalling one of the account and re-booting the phone also. Other wise all the options and accessories of the application are quite good enough!
The UI is a bit weird but all in all it's a very useful app. A contact sync gone wrong had left me with hundreds of contacts duplicated between phone and CalDAV server, and this app did a perfect job on cleaning it up.
This app beats all the others I tested; just about every app listed on Google Play. Upgrading to Pro for ~2.00 a month makes an almost perfect solution to losing your Samsung Galaxy S-22+ Contacts for Phone, Google and other accounts.
VERY annoyed with this app ... did "search for duplicates" and then did delete duplicates ... data for one person consisted of 4 different entries (one with ONLY THE PERSON'S NAME), and the app kept the entry that has ONLY the name! address and phone info for that person is now GONE ... ! and I do not see any available "undo" function ... ! I'm tempted to delete this app and look elsewhere ... !!!!!
Even with pro version, the algorithms are too simplistic and too general to be of use. Either it does the wrong thing or not do the right thing so often, it's easier to do cleanup by hand--even with large contact lists.
First off: BACKUP YOUR CONTACTS before installing. Secondly: DO NOT install it. Because Mobiledit is a good PC program, I trusted this would be too and installed before reading reviews of all ratings (mad face here)! This app has only two functions: its key function, finding duplicate contacts does not allow you to select which to erase or to keep, and being that they can have different info within, it Really should allow selection. The rest of the app didn't matter, especially since one has to pay without testing any of the other functions, and if they are like the main Optimization which is finding and managing dups, even a buck 99 is too much money. UNINSTALLING...
I purchased the pro version today. I started organizing my contacts... except for one Google account... it could not access or perform optimization for any of the other accounts in Skype, Botim whatsapp etc. Secondly on my google account I optimized and also merged, deleted duplicate accounts. When I went to my phone app... nothing seems to have been done. This is a totally useless app and I wish the developer can refund my money back.
Great app! Does everything I was hoping to be able to do, right from my phone... Batch editing, I was able to delete all old company name emails from my saved contact lists, and even move and update between accounts. And finally able to really MERGE dual contacts, rather than just link the way I see them.
Saved me HOURS Sucked it up and paid the $2.50 for Pro which was well worth it. Within an hour I has cleaned up, merged and consolidated 500 contacts saved in 5 different places (phone, SIM and 3 email accounts) into one email account. Now I can move to my new phone with no hassle and peace of mind I have all contacts. Thanks!
I used this app once and was so impressed, I bought the pro version because of all the time I saved. The biggest problem was searching Play Store for the correct app. I think the word duplicate must appear in the name.
it may have been good once upon a time, but is basicly useles now as it refuses to do any of the functions it offers in this pro version. it would say it did something but it actually did nothing to the contacts on the phone except list the duplicates
Unlike most free apps, this one is pointless. My exp: 1) choose acct to extract contacts. 2) view the duplicate contact entries found & choose to delete or not (idk if only deletes the entry or the whole contact.) 3) Find SEVERAL dupes that it didn't -cause it only looked at 'A' names..grr NOW YOU HAVE REACHED LIMIT. With a good sense of humor, it gets better..CHANGES WILL NOT BE SAVED! Unless you upgrade! Fine- HOW MUCH is it? NO IDEA! They want a payment before u get even that much! I call BS
Excellent app! Allows easily to manage contacts, move between accounts, edit them, suppress duplicates, everything works fine. If you have a lot of contacts, it's a must.
Wow. JUST WOW! THANK YOU! This is a FANTASTIC APP to manage & help improve your contacts info. I've tried dozens, over decades across platforms (PC, Mac, etc..); This is the best by far. Takes a little concentration & careful reading of DESCRIPTIONS of what PRECISELY it is doing AT EACH step & be sure to look around & pay ATTENTION to checked/ticked boxes & highlighted text. JUST READ and PAY ATTENTION and it works beautifully, fantastically. And it lets you review EVERYthing before commit. WOW.
The application is not bad but it really annoyed me by asking me in each operation if I would like to buy the pro version. Plus the fact that I could not do a mass contact delete with this free version. That's why I am going to remove it right away from my phone.
Man o man, this app saved my life. My issue was, I did not have duplicate contacts, i had duplicate numbers within the same contact. This is the only app that removed redundant numbers within the same contact. :) Thanks! <3
Great app! Free version identified duplicate contacts -- and which fields were the same -- in seconds and gave me the ability to choose which contacts to merge (as opposed to all or none). I was so impressed after spending 15 minutes using the free version that I paid for the Pro version.
