My problem was that the "Contact" option was missing from Google acccount, in the Account & Sync setting, although I had granted Google an accessn to phone Contact. Therefore I couldn't sync my Google contacts with phone, WhatsApp, Telegram and etc. When running the app, many messages offering assitance by email. Upon my request for assitance, I received an email. I followed the steps described in the email, and then my sync problem was gone. Thank you. This is a great app with great support.
Excellent app and excellent support from the developer. Keeps my contacts in sync with my CardDAV server and works where similar apps failed.
Best sync solution found so far! We use it with egroupware and client certificates! The support of the developer is also excellent!
Great support from the developer and the app actually works with icloud contacts.
Works as intented. Very flexibel.
Need help...not working
Amazing support! I got immediate response and within days a custom fix for mapping phonetic name fields. The app itself is a bit more complex than others but the best I have found for syncing my contacts.
I love it.
Actual support on complex issues when needed, very rare these days and most appreciated!
WARNING! Your contact data (possibly ALL CONTACT DATA!) is included in the log files you send to the developer! That is much more than "some information about your configuration" as stated in the app description. Also, the app stopped working for me, and I cannot get any help, because in order to get help, I need to share my contact data with the developer.
Works well with my own CardDav Server. Had some issues displaying birthdays of contacts, but it turned out to be a problem of the contact-app, not ContactSync. The support of the creators is fast and helpful, therefore I give 5/5 Stars.
My new phone was unable to synchronize Google Contacts (it's actually missing a system file and I didn't want to root it), but this does the job for me just as well -- or probably even better, because it's far more configurable. Thanks, it's a lifesaver!
I am syncing my phone to my owncloud server and this app does it perfectly, including groups, photos, and all other fields. There was an issue related to handling contacts that have an Organization but no Name and the creator of this program literally provided a fix in half an hour. Now that is better service than you'll ever get from a professional help desk! Constructive criticism: The interface is not pretty and could use a face lift. A setup wizard for popular sync targets would be very helpful.
This app is doing exactly what I need it to do and without any glitches so far. CardDav sync is what I am using it for currently and have found it very reliable. Support has been excellent and fast as well for a vcard sync glitch I was having with the mail server. Highly recommended
Annemarie has been with me till the end of my issue caused by Daylite carddav. I appreciate this support and this is how customers should be treated. Great app, lots of features, highly recommend.
Had a little trouble with a configuration, thought I'd send a mail.... very quick response! My error now fixed, me:happy!
awesome support really helpful and the app works well
Love this app - perfect for Owncloud. Very helpful folks too! Highly recommend!
It does what it says and the developer was most friendly helping me to configure my yahoo account. The idea of a trial version to check if it works is great. Even if it is cheap it is always nice to be able to check if it works for me... And this was the way I discover a developer that answer questions and provide support promptly.
the app performed a dysfunctional backup + restore, slowed down until the google play refund time passed. contact group data were not restored. would ask for refund if i could.
Had an issue with contacts on my Kerio Connect server not being synchronized and contacted the developer. She had it solved and me up and running in less than an hour.
I researched for hours to try to get my google contacts into my galaxy s3. Then I came upon this app. Along with the work around app, it worked perfectly! Went to the vCard file on my phone, selected it to be opened with this app, and parsed the files. Now I finally have all of my google contacts in my phone contacts. Thank you so much! Good work!
I wanted to use this application with my current contact book (abook) on my Debian box. However when I imported the contacts, there were no info in the address book. I wrote to the developer, and got a reply a short while after. After some more emailing we found a solution to the program (which was updating the source code for my contact book on my debian box, and compiling it again). After this, it worked flawlessly! Great support, great app! Thanks! /Jobbe
Finally one vcf import tool that works!!! I was using mobilego which asked me $29/year just to keep the contacts! After uninstall of mobilego it erased my vcf data. This tool is one-time process and absolutely worth the price. It's very cheap. Support from developer Annemarie was awesome, she did everything to help me to import the contacts (I was using large file). Get it now!!!
Had a problem after updating to KitKat. Got it solved with help from developer within a day. Without data loss! Now everything works again flawlessly. Great App. Great support.
Works as advertised, and great support from the developer. Thanks!
i use it to sync via carddav with my baikal server. synced all details of the contacts, no encoding problems etc. In a special case with more than 100 numbers for one contact the app did not work, the developer fixed it the same day ... didnt expect a fix at all because it was a very very special case. so very good support!
Syncing my contacts with a owncloud installation. Had some problems at first, but the developer fixed them very quickly. Works like a charm! Great support!
I had an issue with getting scheduled synchronisation to work in another CardDAV app, so decided to give ContactSync a try instead. It works absolutely flawlessly. It is very easy to configure, and provides useful information about the status of each synchronisation attempt. I only wish that I had found ContactSync first!
