I like the app from the contractor side, but not from the customer's. Clients have to close ad on their phone to see the button to expand the document. After scrolling thru the document, they have scroll back to the top and click on ... to find the sign button. Not intuitive at all. I don't need to be tech support.

I've used Joist since it's beginning. Its everything I needed and reliable. Since things once free were taken away like contracts or any wording added for protection, also the ability to add a logo or basically anything necessary to run a professional business. The app has now gotten to where it won't log into servers, clients info randomly goes missing. I understand the need to charge but rather than costly monthly fees why not the ability for one time purchase. Overpriced for what's offered.

It's a really good app easy-to-use the downside is you can't see how it looks before you send it out as far as how it's going to be stated underneath for payment or descriptions and information on how long each payment whether it's checked or charged or Bank transform if they only had that explained in the information as you look at it but all in all it's pretty good app

In my opinion as a small business owner/ operator small construction company joist has been a great platform for estimates and very customizable I use pro with all the features and I can not be more happy with it. I tried looking for different softwares that can offer more customization but nothing was as good as this!

I've had a really good experience with Joist. It saves me quite a bit of time and helps to stand out from competitors with the streamlined and professional estimates and invoices. My customers love getting timely estimates/ quotes. Overall, it's the best app/ site that I've ever used.

I like the app when it works. With that being said, I am starting to experience more and more, where I cannot reach the Joist servers and I have to constantly retry to upload photos to my estimates, even with a strong 5G signal. It's VERY FRUSTRATING, when I have a client waiting for an estimate and I can't give it to them right away, due to this issue. I have voiced multiple concerns to the developers and I don't think that they take them seriously. I am seriously considering, switching apps!

I used Joist in the past and it was great. I just came back to it and it is horrible. App constantly cannot reach server. Even online web page is bad. Running 145mps with all permissions through my firewall and still crashes or is sluggish. Definitely finding a different estimate and invoice app/site.

I have been using this app for a year to create, send and update estimates and invoices, whether on the computer or on via the app for my small tree care business. My clients like the professional look, the photo and document attachments and always compliment me on the ease of use. I also make use of the Sign function to make sure clients agree on the scope of work. It has been working great, and whenever I had issues, the customer support has been flawless. I use it in conjunction with QuickBooks and the integration is great, I don't mind a two step process if I can support a local business at the same time. Keep up the good work! So far, the Pro version has been worth the investment.

I have still been using this app for a very long time and got over the pro feature. I actually have considered purchasing cause it has really help my business send invoices much quicker. I have been recently having connection issues though which is scary because do much information is stored in the app now.

Joist is always updating app. This is fine with me. What I don't like about them. They change settings without telling you. Horrible way to do business. I then have to find what they changed and change it back. No reason for this except for them to make more money. 100'a of other apps or programs out there.

I have had a very good experience using Joist to this point. It is easy to use both for me and my customers. However, I bought a samsung chromebook for the main purpose of using this app for my business but it is saying the app is not compatable with the device. Can anything be done about this?

I've been using this app since 2015. Started when it was strictly free and have upgraded to Joist Pro since it was launched. I wish it was slightly cheeper, but it's a write off either way. Customer service has always been very fast to respond and helpful. They've also recently updated a bug where if you backed out of an estimate or invoice it stays in that timeline on the list instead of going back to the top. Very helpful when reviewing or printing multiple jobs.

This app used to be exceptional but it seems that day after day it takes forever and I get unable to reach server on my phone app and the computer is no better you just get the spinning circle. I loved this app until recently, sad because it is a great way to handle your business.

I have been using Joist for around 3 years and really enjoy it. I'm a one-man handyman business and this app has been huge in helping me write my estimates and invoices. I use the Pro version; I like the options that provides over the free version. I use Quickbooks and Joist syncs with it, which is very handy. The support team is awesome; always quick to respond and help.

Awesome app for the small contractor. I use for all my estimating and invoicing. Saves alot of time but i would suggest paying the $300 yearly subscription for the elite package to get the most productivity out of the program. Just put the time into setting it up and then it just gets easier and easier every time you use it. It is definitely easier to use the app on my phone but you can also use the program on your laptop or desktop. Joist, you better be in it for the long haul cause i am

I have been using joist for about 4 years, I've ran into numerous fellow handyman and contractors who used it as well we all agree that it's very easy to use. I too have signed up for the joist Pro I wish it was a little cheaper as well however it pays for itself I really like being able to provide a professional-looking quote to my customers and also have the option of paying or financing through the app as well. Also it notifies me every time a customer views or signs an estimate.

Contract payment options are confusing, especially with change orders. You can't record change order payments until the contract balance is paid in full.

Honestly don't even bother. If you loose cellular service the app looses all functionality. Customer service doesn't care even when the servers are down for days. This app has lost me thousands in jobs I otherwise would have gotten if it just worked.

Decide to upgrade from free version elite. Get charged $290. Then a week later charged $120 for Pro?! No customer service .... still haven't refunded my money. Will never do business again unless this is fixed. Absolutely ridiculous.

Currently using their app for about 5 years now. It is great and has grown with my business. They added paypal for payments and to be honest it was a smart move and if you are like me and had your money held hostage from wepay just switch to PayPal because your money shows up instantly. Also would like it if they could add a feature to this app that allows me to send the invoice to my contractor and they can edit it if the customer changed the order or if they need to give a estimate and then it

The 1 800 number is just a voicemail getting that tells you to click the help link in the app.. the biggest problem is the servers going down so you can't get help.. Been using this app and getting gutted for way to long It wanted 130.00 to refund a customer some money... I'm already paying for premium service Ended up paying 155.00 in total to process this payment Thats theft. I seriously wanna cry right now There's no excuse to charge that much Shame on you Update servers are down AGAIN
