The app worked fine when I first used it a year ago, occasional loss of Bluetooth connection but overall not bad. However I had a problem with my AC this week and the app no longer works at all! Sometimes it lets me get to the login screen, briefly says 'syncing' before completely crashing again. I've tried reinstalling and it still does the same thing. Goodman please fix your app.
Will not work on new Pixel phones, current Android 12 OS. Never have I had such a bad experience with any software designed and required to configure a system. I have been only able to get it to work on an older Android phone. Called emailed no response. I have never been able to use this app on a Google Pixel phone! It just crashes, closes the app, or locks up. Get this fixed
For those that are having crashing issues and can't get passed "syncing..." this is what I did to solve it: 1) Clear the app cache in your phone settings 2) Under App permissions, set Location to ALLOW ALL THE TIME 3) Under App permissions, set Nearby Devices to ALLOW ALL THE TIME THEN, start the app up for the first time, go through your login and your crashing should be resolved. They need to invest money into app developers who actually know how to write software.
This app is garbage. Used it on an older phone and it didn't work, now on my S20, it still won't work. At login, it tries to sync, but then the app dies. Upon reopening it doesn't even get to the login before it dies. I feel like this app will never be fixed
App is absolute junk. How are you not going to put the time in to something that really does have the potential great. Wont work with older phones. Wont connect to the furnace at all. Update, app won't work at all now.
ANDROID USERS...if you are crashing, go into the app settings by long pressing the icon and press the i. Go into permissions, turn all of them to on. Reboot the app. As for the app itself... good work around to allow the system to work with any thermostat, however, i personality prefer the thermostat to do all of my settings.
Ok I'm going to tell you how to get this app to actually work on Android. First go into the app setting by holding the app icon and selecting the i, tab in the upper right corner then go to permissions and select all of them on, the camera the storage the nearby devices and location and all the time especially the location. They need "all the time" if possible. secondly your password can only be a max of 10 characters. If you go over that and try to sign in it'll say wrong password.
Its garbage. Havent been able to open it without it crashing immediatley for the past two months. No matter how many times I re-install it.
There is issue with this app. I recently installed a furnace and I couldn't set up/ program the furnace because this app was not working. I tried Uninstall abs reinstall it gain , reboot my phone but nothing works. The issues with this app should be resolved soon.
Great concept poorly implemented. The app crashes quite often, and the Bluetooth signal is weak and drops off which again crashes the app. The times when it is working it's great. The history of fault codes is very helpful. The app makes it incredibly easy to change settings such as fan speed, set points for second stage. All without opening the furnace up. I've changed my rating because it does have it's uses and the potential to be a great app.
2ND Review no response on the first. There needs to be an offline mode which can be enabled. 98% of the time we are in basements where we cannot get internet signals. Bluetooth keeps disconnecting regardless of device. Email already sent to service team with no response. Please look into this app and fix bugs. It is a great Idea but hard to setup without internet connectivity and takes long to update furnace. Time is money. Thanks
Have been having many issues for months. Called tech support and was told it's not their problem. Will be fixed asap. But still nothing. Tried uninstalling and re installing. No luck only let's me log on then says syncing and crashes. Had my son download it on his iPhone and it works. Let's him do everything. But it doesn't help me when vthe company phone is android. Seriously need to fix all bugs.
Latest update from February 22 crashes and won't open. Uninstalled cleared cache and data tried again. App will not login freezes at syncing then crashes
Complete garbage! I am required to use this at work and am unable to do my job because the app crashes as soon as I open it.
This app does NOT work any more. Goodman support is none existent! If I would have known how bad Goodman was, I would NOT have bought a Goodman product. Will need to warn others! TERRIBLE!
App just keeps crashing while signing in. Says syncing and then just crashes, never actually logs in. Deleted app and tried again but same thing.
App won't work with my Android phone. Thankfully my apprentice has an iPhone or we literally could not have finished our A/C install today. Great idea, terrible implementation.
1: Way too many permissions for an app that controls hvac. 2: Bluetooth is unable to connect a majority of the time. Was able to sign up. An update was required to access functions. Once the update finally went through I am now unable to connect to my equipment via bluetooth. Great idea but currently, it's totally unusable.
This app repeatedly crashes. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, everything. Furthermore, when it used to work, it glitched continually. Incredibly frustrating especially when working in a crawl space, attic, or basement where there's no wifi or data signal.
Hasn't worked on my android for months. Open the app and it closes instantly. Keep having to revert to my ipad to do connect to units.
Dosen't work on Samsung phones. This is an essential app to work on Goodman equipment make it work with more than 2 phones.
Will not work on Samsung Flip 3 5G. I can download it but then when I go to login, it exits out of the app. I am forced to carry an Apple device just to use the stupid app.
I need customer service now. Application will not open but can no longer connect to units and we have multiple units that use this software. Tried downloading multiple times and nothing. Systems that the software was used to connect to are now also having issues with the programming resetting.. This may be unrelated but since we cannot fix the issue, with the application...yeah. Pathetic software.
This app is very useful and made start up of my system easy. This could easily be a 5 star app, but unfortunately it crashes and needs to be re-paired constantly. Considering the unit isn't in an easily reachable location and a code needs to be viewed on the unit to re-pair, it's a pain.
App fails to open. This is really bad when trying to startup a new system. Gives the customer second thoughts about purchasing thousanda of dollars worth of equipment.
Love the concept, much better than crouching in a dank basement squintong at dip switches. But the the bluetooth is weak in signal strength and loses pairing easily and frequently. Once paired the device should not require auth. Code to re establish connection. Update: still gotta crouch to peer thru the viewing port to get your new pairing code after everytime you walk to your truck. Would also like the option to chose 1st or 2nd stage operation. This app has opportunities for improv ovement
App will not work when charging a 2 stage condenser using comfortnet. The compressor needs to be set on low to get a proper superheat and subcool so you can add freon and adjust TXV if needed. The app sets it to low then about 3 minutes later it will go to high???? Please fix the app where it continuously sends the instruction to be in low so the air handler won't kick it back to high.
Will not open on samsung s21. Just downloaded the app & it will not open at all. Gives coolcloud splash screen the just disappears.
App keeps crashing and cant find any devices to connect to while 6 inches or less from the control board. Then the app says the furnace needs to update when it finally does find a device it updates then back to square one of no devices found then right back to updating the furnace. It shouldnt take an extra hour to use an app to set up equipment. This needs to be simplified I refuse to install anymore of this equipment
Since last update, I haven't been able to use the app. The app keeps crashing. Occasionally will get to the login screen before closing, though not often. The app was very useful but very buggy and requires a stronger internet than is usually available in basements, or crawl spaces where app is most often required. It also regularly required an update that you could not postpone at the least opportune times (ie, when trying to troubleshoot or set up a furnace).
